I got a lil cheat to use the free runwayML version with FHD and 4K footage. Basically do everything you did and export it in 720p. Then in After effects make a 4k composition and add your original high quality footage. Above that, drag the runwayML export. Scale it up so it matches the size of the composition. Add "keylight" to it, select the green with the color picker and set the mode to "screen matte". This will make the subject white and the green black. Now on the 4k layer, set its mode to "luma matte". It will use the runwayML footage as a mask for your 4K footage.

"Do something challenging and regret it later." I know EXACTLY how you feel! LOL I don't know how many times I've done that (After Effects) roto job and spent hours doing a 20/20. Sigh....
I tried Runway and found out that if you're some distance away it was very challenging to roto myself out. I ended up going back to AE for the roto work. I have a free account but, so far, haven't found a good video I've done where it could save me time with roto work.

i'm slowly loving this RunwayML green screen tool. I wish they had a chatter reduce tool, but they don't (and i'm a paid subscriber). hopefully in the next release. the separation from background is great though, much better than in AE.
Nice info tutorial :-) I have been wanting to test it out to and compare it with the magic mask tool in Resolve. Although i love the magic mask tool from Resolve, it sometimes is hardwork to get good results. It looks like Runway is much easier to use compared to the magic mask tool in resolve. Thanx for the video 🙂

Sadly Runway is crazy slow, and it hits with a "Loading" every minute, because it is web based. Not usable for pros IMO.
Yea I dont really use it but it is a free option that might work for certain people.
i would buy this, but i hate subscription fees!! Thats the reason i don't use any adobe products anymore.
