Mexico City is absolutely amazing! It’s really a place you can just wander around & enjoy the unique vibe of each neighborhood. & the food is incredible!
What a wonderful adventure and thanks for sharing with us your searches. This is a gem of a city too often forgotten by their coastal beach areas. Keep up the good work.
We are a black digital nomad couple and I promise we mean this as a compliment…..It’s cool to see a nerdy black couple on RUclips. There’s a narrative that intelligent black people always marry interracially but we are proof that’s false and it’s always nice to see other couples that are also proof. We also love CDMX and have lived there for 6 month stints a few times now.
We LOOOOOOVEEEEEEE getting to witness Black Love abroad 😍 & are proponents of Black Love in general (obvi lol) ☺️ it’s nice to meet y’all! Where are you currently located?
Congratulations on the move! I love seeing us move abroad!! My husband and I are considering either Mexico City or San Miguel De Allende. We also have a toddler, so trying to find the best place to relocate for him is key. I love that there’s so many things to do with children in Mexico City. Can you share your reasons that you decided on Mexico City? Also, how are the kids adjusting?
Yay! Planning a move abroad is so exciting 😍 We chose Mexico City because it’s walkable, there’s an abundance of things to do, it’s a big international city so it has diversity, there are a lot of bilingual schools, the Black expat/immigrant community is strong.. we also just love it. It’s so beautiful & there’s so much to see, do & explore.
It’s both exciting and terrifying lol. Mexico City looks amazing but I hadn’t seen many black epxats with children there. Nice! I didn’t know there always a strong community!! That’s a game changer! We may have to split our trip to visit both places! TYSM!
Polanco is not an expat community neighborhood its an upper middle class / rich mexican neighborhood, a lot of them with jewish, spanish german roots but mexican citizens and its beautiful, welcome to Mexico city❤
Also as a heads up, make sure buildings are built to endure earthquakes, the areas you are looking at are vulnerable to earthquakes. North of the city doesn't get it as much as can be more economic, not as nice maybe but still safe ( don't go to el Rosario) and I do recommend newly built apartments. Don't worry so much about space, it's good to have space but keep in mind CDMX is a city you might want to EXPLORE, so you might sacrifice space but gain a whole world of exteriors.good luck.
Try Mixcoac near El parque hundido or around it. I'll recommend to get a lower floor & a place that is newer just in case as Mexico city there is earthquakes. I lived there 12 years and no problem, but doesnt hurt to be on safer side. The Northern side is even safer in terms of earthquakes.
Seguro no vives aquí!
Roma... that place is expensive but is a really popular choice for the foreigners when they move to the CDMX. Wait... or is The Condesa the place? ... I just forgot. 😅
hello amigos , chack the school's also , unless you do homeschooling. Condesa y la Roma are very nice neighborhood's, you can't be wrong with any of these, just remember CDMX is a huge city and is also great cities that you may like also ✌🏾
We welcome all but we know black folks and black families go through so much In the States.if you move to CDMX, we hope you feel most welcomed and warm here ( even tho it'd cold rn but the weather is so nice most year round, well it's hot march-june and rains a lot june-october) omg anyways pls enjoy lol.
Thanks you so much for acknowledging that. We feel so welcomed in Mexico & we really love it here. Yes, it’s so cold in the mornings right now! But the afternoons have been warm & sunny so we can’t complain 😊
I super Love Mexico City, But it´s a Big difference to visit for a week and walk around parks and coffee shops ? Than to join the rat race with daily trips to school, living in the heart of one of the Biggest Cities in the world, traffic jams downtown Mexico City , in peak hours can go for 2,3 hours, I think, It must be a very well and conscious decision. My best wishes! and enjoy lots of Tacos !
Definitely! Once you get into the daily life routine, that's where the true Cdmx experience begins. I would recommend trying to find a home near where you live, I was lucky to find a home near my work, only 4k pesos a month and a 20 minute walk from work. Made life so easier, I love the metro but I am not envious of those who use it during peak times. If you don't need to use the metro during peak times DONT, it can be super stresful. Hope yall have a good time, CDMX 4 EVA
Yes, I thought CDMX would be too overwhelming because it’s so huge but the nice thing is that the neighborhoods are set up so well! We are still new to living here but we really love it so far.
Yes, that "European touch" is due to a obsession of one of our presidents back in the XVII century who wants really hard to recreate the French design. Today there is a law that oblige every new building or remodelation to match a "colonialism" design in some zones in the CDMX (I'm no fan of that but is what it is).
One problem with Americans or Europeans is that they think Mexico is like a third world city and it just an awesome modern city! More like ignorance! Mexico City is amazing!!
RUclips me censura por lo anterior, por considerarlo " INCITA A LA VIOLENCIA " , PERO NO SANCIONA LOS COMENTARIOS QUE INVITAN A QUE VENGAN MIGRANTES......NO ENCUENTRO LA LOGICA Y LO JUSTO DE ESTE ACTUAR....NO SON LAS LEYES DE RUclips LAS QUE DEBEN REGULAR NUESTRA LIBERTAD DE EXPRESIÓN, RUclips DEBE AJUSTARSE A LA LEY DE MÉXICO, SI QUIERE TENER AQUI SU PLATAFORMA....
Bienvenidos sean a Mexico Family adventures.

Well let’s see it’s within a few hours of the US. It has more similarities to US culture, Mexico City is one of the greatest cities in the world and climate. Mexico is the 11 biggest economies in the world and growing it has great world renowned cuisine, and culture and great nice people I mean I could go on and on. Most websites/magazines/surveys have it as one of the best places to retire, cost of living I mean i could go on and on too inifinity. Africa is not even close sorry no hate just reality
1. Mexico City is amazing. 2. We do want to live in African soon (likely Dakar) 3. The logistics aren’t logisticing right now for us to live in Africa. I’d love to hear about your experience living in both Mexico City & on the African continent since you have such a strong opinion.
I’ve heard wonderful things about Mexico City. Looking forward to watching you all explore the city.
Mexico City is absolutely amazing! It’s really a place you can just wander around & enjoy the unique vibe of each neighborhood. & the food is incredible!
Place is to chilly for me, i was there in July 2018, and i froze my butt, prefer Merida, Or Puerto Morelos, my type of hot weather😅
Welcome y Bienvenidos to Mexico family

Yes, it’s easy to fall so in love with the beaches that we forget the cities but CDMX is so special :) thanks for being here with us ♥️

Yes, you’re right - the bulk of foreigners we see here are on business not really expats/immigrants. It is a gorgeous area though 😍
Welcome to Mexico.
Thank you!
Looks very amazing . Good for yall making moves . And welcome . Enjoy life.
Thank you, we are loving it!
It is always important to scout things out. I have seen so many people not do this and it can be bad.

Actually, is the biggest city in the world, it is city and is known as state .
Yes, I thought CDMX would be too overwhelming because it’s so huge but the nice thing is that the neighborhoods are set up so well! We are still new to living here but we really love it so far.

Just be aware of the earthquakes in Condesa
Everyone keeps warning up & now I’m scared 😩
FOR SURE! AFFORDABLE 😅....MUCH BETTER THAN NEW YORK...😮
Oh I’m sure! I’ve heard horror stories about people paying $7,000/month to live in a shoebox 😩😂
One problem with Americans or Europeans is that they think Mexico is like a third world city and it just an awesome modern city! More like ignorance! Mexico City is amazing!!
Yes! Mexico is so large, diverse & amazing! I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t fall in love with this amazing country!
US " citizens. American is a Continental identity, not a nationality.
We are 35 American countries in the American Continent.✌️
If you live in those areas you don't need to move so much in the Metro system. It is really packed in peak hours.
Yes, very true! We also find CDMX very walkable. It’s just nice to see the metro in case we need or want to take it :)
Thanks, but for every inmigrant to CDMX prices are getting up, *anyways, happy new year!*
Prepare to see prices go sky-high as more Americans and European expats start coming in exodus levels.
oh nice now mexico is being gentrified.thank toy
Why?? Why not Africa??
