Not everyone knows that Michael Flatley was a Concert grade Flautist, I was very impressed with his hearfelt and nuanced playing of one of my favourite Irish trad laments " An Chulainn" . Such a talented guy , dancer/ choreographer, visionary, musician/ band leader/ dance captain/ impressario with quality production values which respected Irish culture while also evolving an ancient artform. A great Irish American who has been a credit to both countries and to his family.
The very first thing that got me into Irish Dance was Riverdance, Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames... They were absolutely magical and I wanted to wrapped up in every part of this world and still am.to this day 💝
