Yes , that's true, but the supporting infrastructure is lacking. Poor roads, open dirty drains and inadequate landscaping throws the houses off . A beautiful house must be built in a beautiful neighborhood with all of the supporting amenities.
Absolutely. We should demand that the inadequate infrastructure is addressed. Only when that's done can we genuinely see Guyana 🇬🇾 in all it's beautiful glory!!
Beautiful houses. Guyana can be a great country if people stop leaving to go to big countries. Work together to make it safe place for the generations now and in the future. Stop selling out the resources to other countries instead use it to make sure every guyanese person have a house, good health care, food, services to help people with physical, mental and emotional issues. I hope one day Guyana can get to that place. When we do things consciously the next generations will benefit and continue to maintain our country for the better. Come on Guyanese people don't sleep on your country because outsider will come an make money off this beautiful country.
Work together? is that a joke have you ever heard of "ApanJaat" it's alive and run things in Guyana. "Stop selling out the resources to other countries" Guyana does not have what is needed to extract the "riches" we have, we couldn't even find it without "other countries we need other countries at their price. I was born in 52 so I have seen and lived through the struggle
Infrastructure in Guyana is third world nothing fascinating about Guyana..msybe in yrs 2 come if hsillllll money spend wisely ..ppl will always venture out ...
Theses houses are very modernized, beautiful designs, nice vibrant colours and looks like many houses in my country Trinidad. I am glad to see such progress that Guyana is making now but I will always like all wooden houses that I saw and stayed in when I visited many years ago.
Just wonderful. Beautiful. I am very proud of the development that is going on in our beautiful country Guyana. Love the video. Please continue to bring us more of these videos.
Absolutely beautiful. This by far the best video I have seen. Please please do more like this. I love the way it moves slowly so you can see the houses and the landscape. Also the transition is amazing. I will definitely share this everywhere on social media. Great job. 👏🏼🙌🏼👍🏼

Love the ones on the stilts, so breeze can flow through. I know the need for more enclosed rooms is necessary, but when I build my bottom must be open. Reminds me of small days and being able to play in the yard. I want my future American grand kids to enjoy that part of my culture/upbringing.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO,,, GUYANA IS AN AMAZING COUNTRY ,, AND BEAUTIFUL HOUSES SOME ARE NOT SO NICE ,, I AM A GUYANESE AND I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE TOO AND SO IS MY MOTHER HOUSE WE ARE VERY HAPPY WERE WE LIVE THE ROAD IS GOOD AND I HAD THE YARD PLANT UP WITH FLOWERS AND TREES ,,, I HAD MY HOUSE BUILT HOW I LIKE IT ,, YES I DO GO BACK HOME BUT I AM WORKING IN LONDON ,,, I LIKE YOUR VIDEO ,, NURSE FRANCIS ,,
I’m truly so happy to see the new homes that have been built in Guyana but along with lovely homes comes curb appeal. Grand and weeks cut and gutters cleaned. The roads are absolutely deplorable and needs to be fixed.
Some absolutely beautiful homes seen there. Was curious to know some of the areas they were in. Guyana is so far ahead now from when I was last there. Thanks
Public comments. Reflection of beautiful in every way and shape and form . Guyana is amazing country and beautiful . Thanks for sharing your wonderful video with the entire world. Stay safe.
Really? I used to go to Jamaica a few times a year. It's like Guyana - some nice houses, some beautiful houses and loads of wooden/zinc shacks and very modest homes. Same in Trinidad. Not so much in Barbados where the middle class seems larger. Guyana is getting there.
Hey brother wonderful video I injoyed it's 😎👍😁 it would be great if possible you could make a video on buxton guyana it's history and how it's has become today and once again brother thank you for the video we need more people like you to share the knowledge and bring the information to all the people thank you from DJ oneloveG 😎👍😁
I have one more year to retire and is seriously thinking of returning to Guyana but the health care system is scaring me. I have to agree there are beautiful homes in Guyana.
I agree with everyone that while the homes are nice, we need better infrastructure. Hopefully Guyana can improve on the roads and the proper drainage. The British did not know how to manage Guyana's waters well. The Dutch did. We need to get help from countries like the Netherlands who are used to building communities in the water without problems. I think the home building community has gotten better and more skilled. In 2011 I felt that the outside of the homes were impressive, so to speak, but inside it was the builders did not know what to do, the tile cutters were confused, and nothing was done to scale. But I feel like the builder's can take AAdvantage of all that on the job education (Trial and error). :)
The house is beautiful but some of the fence around them house need updating since I’m little I see wood and mesh fence now me grow big I still see it them old fences spoil the look of the house take away the beauty from the view of the house and all them grass need to cut infront them house nice video
Beautiful houses indeed- Good that the people can progress in their country and settle at home , rather than come to North America in the cold temperature...
Wow! 🤩 really beautiful! I’m just curious, are these homes people who were living overseas, or people in government jobs, gold, oil.... I’m just wondering what type of community is this
Please do a video on Essequibo Coast and Essequibo Islands, please!! I am doing research on the history of Liberty Island. It is fascinating story and I might be a descendant of the Guyanese man who purchased the island called Aboneabonabbo and renamed it Liberty Island to represent freedom and emancipation. He was a "free colored man" and a lawyer; he took out a mortgage to buy the island from the Joseph Hadfield. Yes the same family for whom Hadfield street in Georgetown is named! I am still trying to research what happened to him after that purchase. If God spares my life, I want to write a book about him and the process of buying Liberty island.
Some of the houses are from Fort Ordinance housing Scheme. There are more beautiful houses more up in the scheme but unfortunately you have to drive on the dam to reach there. One other thing they say technology taking over and we are 15 minutes away from New Amsterdam where one of the main GTT branch is and no phone line can't reach here as yet. GTT SLUMBERING.
As an expat, Guyana does indeed have beautiful homes and wonderful people. However, they have crap infrastructure. I wouldn't move back to a country that floods every year, sometimes multiple times per year. They need to solve that problem along with the crime or people won't have a desire to move back. Maybe with the oil money, they'll seek outside help to make the country viable for a thousand years with improved sewage, water distribution/drainage, roads/ bridges, electric, gas, etc.
Yes , that's true, but the supporting infrastructure is lacking. Poor roads, open dirty drains and inadequate landscaping throws the houses off . A beautiful house must be built in a beautiful neighborhood with all of the supporting amenities.
That’s a very good point hopefully they work on developing the infrastructure
Absolutely. We should demand that the inadequate infrastructure is addressed. Only when that's done can we genuinely see Guyana 🇬🇾 in all it's beautiful glory!!
