What a bunch of idiots! If you are going to use a rental property as a cannabis farm PAY THE RENT for heaven’s sake! Had they quietly and continuously done that no one would have even noticed!

There should be a system in which both landlords and tenants have to enroll. You can not rent out a property or rent a property if you aren't enrolled in this system. This system should contain permanent records of the histories of both landlords and tenants which each can go to review.

Tenants who do NOT pay their rent have NO right, NO right to destroy property that does NOT belong to them! How horrible! Disgusting! I think they need jail time!

Let's assume these guys are in trouble and they cannot pay rent then they must leave but many of these scenarios are so insane because not only that they do not pay rent these guys damage the whole place when they leave that's insanity

It's amazing how seldom nightmare tenants see punishment for the things they do. Even when they're doing awful things, making a huge mess, distributing drugs, terrorizing other tenants, not paying rent, etc. they still have all these rights that make it hard for the landlord to deal with them. The landlord can't just barge in and force them out, the landlord can't just shut their utilities off, they can't get the police involved so their only course of action is to bring them to court which could take weeks, even months, not to mention if the tenant decides to be difficult, the court may need to be rescheduled and all of the costs will be at the landlord, plus their lawyer fees. This is on top of thousands in unpaid rent. Between lost rent, legal fees, locksmith costs, cleaning costs, and refurbishment costs, even though the nightmare tenant is out, the landlord is the one who lost and the tenant walks away without having had to pay one penny of backrent. Going after the tenant will just result in additional legal fees that may or may not be recouped. Landlords seem to stand to lose much more than tenants in bad situations, and despite the stereotype that all landlords are slumlords who exploit tenants for financial gain, it seems to be the other way around. Most of these seem to be that tenants are awful, with very few being slumlord situations.

Welcome to the modern world. Landlords are largely hated and tenants are considered victims. People do this because they think they're sticking it to a greedy landlord.

I would definitely report that tenant and open up a case, not only did they not pay the rent they damaged the property.

I agree, those people should not have threatened the parents. That would definitely be a scary. I dont know how people can just not pay rent but to trash it like some do. To be that old and still do that its safe to say theyll never grow up.

Those dogs were lovely lol. Thank you for bringing them chicken, they liked Paul. Just wagging their tails happy to see someone, I appreciate people looking out for animals that are in situations like that. That guy had the nerve to threaten the homeowners after he hasn’t paid 7 months of rent and call them unreasonable! What a selfish piece of trash, people like that need to be blacklisted. You should not be allowed to rent anywhere! You can live on the streets for free how about you go and do that.

I understand "everyones" rights needs to be protected however in this case Tenants rights are being protected at the expenses of the Landlords which isn't fair , do you concur?

Doing a basic background check would prevent that happening. A valued work contract, 6 months salary statement, and 2 months deposit

I am certain a huge percentage of these horrible tenants suffer from schizophrenia.
It should carry an immediate eviction if a dwelling is used for illegal purposes.

Direct investment (real estate or a company) within socialist systems is always a nightmare. If you have money to invest, spread out through other asset classes: gold, crypto, stocks, funds and bonds.
