You make a really good point about saving up your money to buy only high quality products. I used to be a drugstore kind of person but I would buy so many things from the drugstore that I would end up not liking and then just put them away to declutter them later. And now that I have treated myself to brands from Sephora like Viseart, abh, Huda, and Natasha denona as well as Urban Decay and Too Faced and Lorac, I'm actually finding that I'm not spending as much money as I had feared because I no longer waste my money on drugstore stuff that I end up not using
My parents don’t understand The point of highend make up will while she spends $50 getting make up at the drugstore that she doesn’t know if she will like meanwhile I try to save up my money for some Makeup that I will like and this pallet is something I really want and I hope she understands that I love my Makeup 💄 lol😂
THANK YOU FOR NOT DOING A VERY RED EYE LOOK like every other RUclipsr. Your look is so so beautiful without being over the top. I have this palette and can’t wait to recreate your stunning look! Thank you for being original! I’m turning 56 in December btw and I love me some glitter. 😅
Michelle yes! I’m 42 and while I admire the over the top looks that other YT’rs have done, it wouldn’t look good on me. Not even an age thing, it wouldn’t be wearable for work.
Agreed. I’m 40 this year my eyes are hooded and therefore most of the looks some youtubers create wouldn’t suit my eye shape. I have this palette and agree it’s stunning. I also got the holiday palettes but haven’t tried them yet xx
I had the same feeling of "awakening" when I saw this palette too! I just saw it and thought, this is going to be my new soulmate! I love how simple this tutorial was, but it looked like you used half a dozen palettes and took hours to apply! I need to get over staring lovingly at it every evening and just do a look already.
This is the kind of pallet that one could take on vacation, and except for a neutral brow bone highlight color, have everything you need to do basic daytime looks, and also gorgeous, full glam evening looks
Thank you for the background on Pat McGrath and why it’s so expensive. I love the look you created with palette. Beautiful colors. Going to get this one for my collection. I want it now! Lol!
I have two of her smaller palettes and love them. The Mattes are very good quality and the shimmers are beautiful. No problem with application at all. I’m able to do wearable looks for my age. I’ve been eyeing this palette and have only seen the “young girls” doing eye looks with it. Mind you, at almost 63 just about all YT beauty creators are “young people” 😉. Thank you for doing this video. Nice wearable look. And you were able to use that red shadow and it’s wasn’t over the top. Could you do a few more eye looks with this palette? I’d like tips from you about how to use those special shadows on the right end of the palette. They look beautiful. I like sparkles and just because I’m older doesn’t mean I’m dead yet and shouldn’t wear some glitter. Love your channel! ❤️😊
I love you for acknowledging that this is expensive, luxury makeup rather than pretending it's no big deal. No way am I buying it but I still enjoyed the quick tutorial. That gold/green shimmer looks amazing!
You look stunning, as always. It is expensive and out of my budget, but it is something I could see myself using birthday and Christmas gift cards to help me purchase. The colors aren’t quite right for me, but it makes me want to see the other palettes. I love how you encourage us to bust out of “rules” and wear whatever feels good to us. I’m your age and I like a little sparkle. Thanks for the tutorial.
Im sooooo happy you got this and I ended up getting it as well and this is her most wearable palette. I LOVE IT!!!! I must say I thoroughly enjoy her purple one as its my favorite color. Pat does shadows like no one else. The 4 "special" shades are where the magic is. It just makes it so much fun, The only hard part is deciding which special effect topper you want. I look forward to a few tutorials as I bet this will be one of her best sellers....Its that good and I bet alot of people will be getting this.
It’s so hard to find a beauty guru for us girls over 40.So I can’t tell you how happy I was to come across your channel!! I’ve been binge watching all morning. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You just gained yourself a new subscriber!!!
This look is so beautiful. I like the way you applied the shimmer first with your finger and worked around it. I find that that technique works well with that type of shadow. Thank you.
I think it’s absolutely beautiful on you!! I’m not quite so comfortable with the glitter and shimmer but do think it’s gorgeous on those who are!! Love the videos!
LOL! I love your enthusiasm towards the end of the video about this palette because it's basically how I feel about mine! When i saw this baby on Pat McGrath's Instagram I just had to have it. It would be the first Pat McGrath palette to catch my attention (and hold it steadfast). It was magical, to say the very least. And when i got it in the mail yesterday and saw it in person, i was awestruck by it's beauty. I was planning a trip to Ulta today to check out some new holiday launches but, for the first time ever, I am going to skip it and go straight home and just stare at this palette because I am OBSESSED with it. I feel like I have found a real, live unicorn.
Luxe Beauty love all your enthusiasm for this product. I would definitely buy this. You look fabulous whatever you decide to wear. I love your videos. All the best. Hilde - Norway 🇳🇴
I'm almost afraid to watch this video because I wanted it so badly after watching Michele's video on this! I really don't need this, but I want it so much! 😍😍
I also bought the smaller bronze palette, and like you, I rarely ever use it. For that reason, I don't see myself parting with the money for this one. The colors are beautiful, but then again I have about a million colors in my collection that are beautiful. I bought the first 30 pan Viseart Pro palette (which I use a lot,) and both of the large ND 28 pan palettes, (which I hardly touch anymore.) I think I may have finally come to the conclusion that I need a cooling off period after something like this drops to decide if I really do need it. It is stunning though, and I understand why people are jumping on it.
Yeah, you are definitely set! I skipped on the original, huge ND palettes. As pretty as they are I think the PMg palettes have a more useful and diverse colour story.
I just received mine yesterday and can’t wait to use & review it! I actually have all 5 of the Mothership palettes to haul & review, so I’ve never used her actual Mothership palettes, but I own, and have used, all of her mini palettes and I absolutely adore them! I’ve been hooked on Pat for years, since back when I was a model myself, and when she released her first Labs product, I was so excited! She sent it to me to review back at the very start of my channel and I’ve been hooked since! I really enjoyed watching your review, sweetie! It’s such a pleasure to see other women around my age out here making a difference for women our age. I hope that someday brands realize the importance and benefit of having women our age (I’m older than you, LOL) out here demonstrating products. When I was younger, I never understood what my Mum was talking about; I can’t wear makeup like you do. I get it now! LOL! Again, great video, Hun! Much love, Shelbie =)💚💋
What an indecredible palette and your makeup skills make it even better! I don't but allot of makeup but this palette has been on my mind for days! Its so different, artistic, and completely unique in the palette world! Your review just sealed the deal for me! I'll be buying it for my 30th birthday soon! ❤❤❤
I agree with you about age and eyeshadows. I am 53 years old and my lids and eyes have no wrinkles yet, and when they do start to wrinkle, I will be wearing what ever I want. Thank you, dear.
Thank you for this review! I was hoping someone would cover products like this and the Guerlain Meteorites. Your hooded eye makeup tutorials are amazing.
This look is absolutely stunning Risa. 😍 I bought the palette and I'm so happy I did. Rose Gold 005 and VR Fire Opal are my favorite shades so far. The way I've been describing VR Fire Opal is that it's kind of an apricot to light green duochrome with gold shimmer. I rarely buy luxury makeup and Pat is pretty much the only brand I do buy from. 😂 I love everything she puts behind the products. From creative direction, to art of the boxes, and the looks she creates on the runway with her products. Her work AND her products are something truly inspiring for me.
I recently purchased my first Pat McGrath palette--the smaller MTHRSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Eyeshadow Palette--but I was pretty disappointed. It didn't seem as shimmery or true to color in the pan as I was expecting. Looks like this one is much better!
Hi Risa! Great tutorial. I picked up mine this morning. This is the first of Pat’s eyeshadow palettes for me. It just really spoke to me. I could relate to all your gushing about it! It’s the most beautiful palette I’ve ever seen. 😍
I have Mothership I and III in my kit and I don't regret them one bit. I still want II and I wasn't that interested in IV because I had too many dupes. THIS palette has made it to the top of the list. That rose gold colour is perfect and weirdly enough I am excited by the warm browns and that eggplant shade as well. They are great for structure to looks where you may want to go heavier on the glitter. Although on the heavy side, I have found these palettes to be incredibly useful and I rarely pack my kit without at least one of them in there. I'm also going to say Pat's duochrome shadows are the best and most foolproof ones in my kit bar none. A lot of duochromes can be a bit chalky on dark skin but not hers. I also appreciate the thought that goes into these palettes. Only an artist like Pat could come up with 5 successful colour stories that are equally outstanding. Like you touched on, there is something so pleasantly cohesive and yet still somehow wonderfully chaotic about these palettes. Thanks for your review!
Enjoyed the video so much. Way out of my price range even though I know from watching other reviews that these shadows stand in their own as far as colour payout, performance and quality. I still really enjoy seeing others using them and creating beautiful looks 💕
I have this palette and the mothership ii. I love them so much. I have the everything pigments kit too. I love pat and everything she makes. I feel like I’ve won something when I buy her products. Lol. Her shadows are so easy to blend and the shimmers/duo chromes are so unique. You can’t go wrong.
This is my first large PMG palette purchase too, and just like you the only other palette of hers I have is bronze ambition, however I use that one practically every day- it’s my go to quick work look- throwing shade in crease, bronze struck on outer half of lid, gold rush on middle and inner half of lid and line the top and bottom with the dark brown shade. You should give that palette another try- it’s really nice! I’m having fun with the new one-I love the gorgeous colors, and yes 125$ is expensive but it works out to 12.50 each which is less than cost of many other brands single shadows and the quality is the best! Love your look I will have to try it soon! ❤️
I SO plan on getting this palette. I have several of the Mothership palettes and I find them unlike anything in my collection. And I have a large collection of eyeshadows and palettes. I hope to pick it up during the VIB sale, but if it's still out of stock and I'm forced to pay full price...I will.
Love the sparkle! I won't be purchasing, but really like the tutorial so I can copy with cheaper options! The deep purple with the goldy-green would be gorgeous.
Omg this is my fave shadow look from your channel so far, and that speaks volumes because you do some pretty amazing looks! Please do more! I’m going to save up so I can get this at the next VIB. I tell myself it’s a justified purchase because I can share it with my 17 year old daughter😂. LOVE LOVE 😍
GORGEOUS look! I have 2 of the 6 pan palettes and love them. The larger ones just haven't seemed quite right for me until this one. I'm seriously giving this one consideration. I may be 66 but I love bold eye looks. I have very hooded eyes but following your techniques and suggestions I can wear some sparkle which I love. Your eye look is so beautiful! Thanks for showing this!
I have Subliminal palette and I absolutely LOVE it. I am so tempted to pick this one despite these are not my colors. And for me with shipping and taxes (I am in EU) it cost even more, around 170$ 😱
I know you apologized for your swatches but I actually don't mind. Sometimes I think people who have beautiful swatches like tarababyz almost give a misleading impression of the product, because they swirl their finger around in the pan so many times and then press down so heavily with their fingers in a way that doesn't even remotely resemble how the eyeshadow would look on my eyes. Don't get me wrong, those watches are fun to look at but I definitely take them with a grain of salt
I love the shades! I have a very small monolids and then weird hoods on top of them without the usual crease structure and I don't know if that strong a shimmer works for my eye shape and wouldn't feel confident....I wish!!! they look wonderful on you!
Thanks for this beautiful eye look ! I Just got the Mothership V and your tutorial is very inspiring ! Especially now that christmas is just around the corner. Happy holidays and thanks again for the inspiration
I might buy this palette . The price doesn't scare me but I don't know I don't feel attracted to big palettes anymore but it looks so pretty . I will probably buy it
Well what to do now. I wasn’t going to buy this one but after watching your review, I want it! 😀 I plan to be sparkly into my 80’s as well! Thanks for this great review and beautiful tutorial! I’m saving up for this one! Love and hugs from WA! 💕😍🤗☔️🌥
I wanted this pallet the second I saw it, but it sold out in a hot second. But I snagged it up yesterday on a restock on sephora's site, yeaaa.... it is my 1st pallet from pmg and it will be here Tuesday, I cant wait!! I also splurged and bought her highlighter trio, looks so beautiful. I'm definitely going to do this look you did, it is lovely. I strongly agree with you about the age factor with makeup or hair, clothing, definitely do what makes you happy and feels good!! Excellent video, please do more looks with this Gem!
I’m like you I just couldn’t justify that much money until this one . Ordered it yesterday with a few glosses . Would love to see some more looks for fall .
Rewatching for the 4th time. I just bought it. I’ve been thinking about it since your video. I went to sephora and visited it Saturday but didn’t get it. Started watching all the other reviews and went to Sephora after work today. Of course now it was sold out at my store, but I ordered it from the checkout line. I’d love seeing you do other looks, especially using the rose gold shade. I can’t wait for it to get here!
A little late to the game on this one... if you happen to see this comment, would you do more tutorials with Pat McGrath palettes, geared towards hooded and/or mature eyes? Pretty please? I just purchased both Divine Rose palettes (my first PM palette purchase) and I’m having the hardest time finding tutorials using her shadow/palettes on hooded eyes. Can’t wait to start experimenting with these gems. Your eye look is so gorgeous!
I was able to get a $100 gift card with my Sephora rouge points and snapped this beauty up! I own all of her palettes except the Decadence (I missed out on that one, darn!). The quality of Pat McGrath products is unmatched which is why she is a billion (yes billion) dollar brand. I'm glad you are happy with your purchase Risa! :)
I so want this palette - I bought 2 of her six pan palettes and they are nice, but I can tell this one is special.. I plan to get it sometime this year when there is another sale.❤️ thanks for giving me permission 🥰🥳
Love this video & love your excitement over the palette!! You explained everything so well regarding the price, also about age & us wearing what makes us happy! I ordered the palette, it should be here soon (Australia) I’m so excited & can’t wait to get it! ❤️❤️❤️
I love this palette and I can't wait to buy it! Most would say that $125.00 is a lot of money for eyeshadow. But, the way i look at it, that's 12.50 per single shadow and I don't think 12.50 is a lot of money for such a special eyeshadow, so I actually don't consider 125.00 to be too much for this very special palette! Thanks for the video and enjoy your shadows! Take care, Ginny 😘😘😘
Would love to see more looks with this pallet. I can't afford it, but I can live through you! I really enjoy your channel and all your tips, tricks, opinions, honesty, etc. Thanks so much, Risa! P. S. I learned so much from the "downturned/hooded" eyes video.
This is such a beautiful palette that I think can be very versatile. Sadly the Canadian price is $170 (plus tax) and I don't think I will be purchasing it, no matter how much I might drool over it. I hope you do more looks with it so that I can enjoy them from my computer.
Hi Risa. New to your channel. I just got mine two days ago and had to drive past Seattle WA. To pick it up. It is beautiful! Thank you for sharing about wearing what makes you feel good and pretty. I am a mature female but always loved make up. Maybe you could show the beautiful red and how to wear it.
Hi Risa, your eyes makeup is so beautiful, without heavy false eyelashes, you look so excited with your new palette, I hope it'll give you a lot of satisfaction, ¿can it work on a brown eyed caucasian, yellow undertone with blond hair woman, like me?. Thank you for sharing😘
I get the feeling that you like this palette... LOL. I have it too. It's amazing. I just finished watching Mel Thompson's video on Natasha Denona Safari.... yikes!
Risa, I consider myself kind of a novice at all of the different eye shadow brands and would love a video that really explains the differences between the medium priced shadows versus the high end versus the very expensive shadows. I can generally tell the difference between a Walmart shadow and an Urban Decay or Tarte level shadow, but since I have never owned a Pat McGrath or Natasha Denona shadow, I don’t really understand the difference that supports the cost. Can you talk about that in one of your videos please? Your eyes look beautiful in this video, but they always do in my opinion. Seems like cosmetic skills have more to do with the results than the products, but maybe I am missing something. Thanks!
I am not a drugstore makeup fan. When I buy it, I am disappointed in the quality. So I am going to stick to my favorites. And boy I love the Pat Macgrath shadows
Its been a year, can you update on this palette?? I really want to but this but i tried it in a store and as much as i wanted to love it unfortunately i did not find it to be super nice as the glitter transferred on my entire face, did this happen with you?? I read a comment saying she tried with glitter glue and still the glitter transfered onto her face, please let me know your thoughts??
I've always been hesitant to try Pat McGrath because I'm not one for color shadows other than plums and pinky rose colors but this palette might make me rethink buying this! Although that price!! 😁🙈 On a side note, your under eyes, cheek and highlight look AMAZING in this video! 💖 Going to hop on up to the description box now to see what the products are! Lol
Risa-is that just foundation under your eyes or concealer too? I didn't see any concealer listed, wondering if you have the Charlotte Tilbury one on in this video?
I love this palette and I'm 61

Amen, sistah!
LonDen Makeup Artistry 😊
Love this palette! I am in my 50s and think its beautiful!
Belinda Shanle Same here! 😊 Also, Pat McGrath is an amazing artist. I’ve followed her work for years. 💋
I got it too eventually and I really love it, thanks for the honest review!
I love you for acknowledging that this is expensive, luxury makeup rather than pretending it's no big deal. No way am I buying it but I still enjoyed the quick tutorial. That gold/green shimmer looks amazing!
Jenna, totally agree with you!
You look stunning, as always. It is expensive and out of my budget, but it is something I could see myself using birthday and Christmas gift cards to help me purchase. My pleasure! I wish she would come out with individual shadow pans so you could customize a palette. Now THAT would be amazing!!
Im sooooo happy you got this and I ended up getting it as well and this is her most wearable palette. I LOVE IT!!!! I must say I thoroughly enjoy her purple one as its my favorite color. Hi! Thank you for subscribing! I love your username! 😃👍🏻
Awww thank you 😊
This look is so beautiful.
On the way to sell my blood!!!
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
I bought that pallet and I absolutely love it!!!
Smash Bravo Good One 😂😂😂
😁😂😃😅😆 it's on my wish list 😍😍

I couldn’t agree more! This one has ruined me for all others. Nothing will compare!
I know, right!

You have that same breathless excitement about this that nearly everyone has about these PMG eye palettes! One day I may give in!

Hell yea I agree wear what you want! I'm 42 and love sparkles and color!!!
Another gorgeous look from Risa! Your whole look here is beautiful!
I SO plan on getting this palette. I have several of the Mothership palettes and I find them unlike anything in my collection. And I have a large collection of eyeshadows and palettes. I hope to pick it up during the VIB sale, but if it's still out of stock and I'm forced to pay full price...I will.
This palette is so beautiful! Pat McGrath is one of my all time favorite artists and I'd love to save up and get one of her palettes at some point.
Love the sparkle! I won't be purchasing, but really like the tutorial so I can copy with cheaper options! The deep purple with the goldy-green would be gorgeous.
I'm glad you bought it! Sometimes we need to splurge and buy something really nice for ourselves. I know I do!
I’ve been eyeing that palette since it came out. I’m getting it. You made up my mind!!!!!! Thank you.
Hi Brenda! I love that you want to sparkle at 66! We should never stop being sparkly! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I have Subliminal palette and I absolutely LOVE it. I am so tempted to pick this one despite these are not my colors. And for me with shipping and taxes (I am in EU) it cost even more, around 170$ 😱
It’s on my wishlist. Your look is beautiful as always
In love with this pallet!! So wish I could justify purchasing it ❤️❤️
Just got mine today and I luv it just thinking about what looks I want to do!!!!!
I bought it, I 💯 agree that I’d rather invest in one quality palette than 5 inexpensive lower quality palettes.
I'm just waiting for the Sephora sale to get it and also the Natasha Denona Safari palette :D
Such a beautiful palette, love the colors.
I might buy this palette . The price doesn't scare me but I don't know I don't feel attracted to big palettes anymore but it looks so pretty . I will probably buy it
I ordered this yesterday using the Sephora Friends and Family Sale discount. I can’t wait to receive it!
Woo hoo!!! Enjoy! 😃
Wonderful review Risa.Totally love the look that you created.
Wow what a beautiful palette!!!! Yes we should all treat ourselves!!!! Thanks for the great review :)
Thank you Tamara!! I hope you love your new palette! 😃💕
Wow!!!! What a score! I am definitely saving my points now instead of using them. I am so happy Sephora changed their system!
I so want this palette - I bought 2 of her six pan palettes and they are nice, but I can tell this one is special.. I plan to get it sometime this year when there is another sale.❤️ thanks for giving me permission 🥰🥳
Everything about that palette looks perfect, damn that packaging is gorgeous
Isn’t it??? Everything about it is perfect.
Love this video & love your excitement over the palette!!
You explained everything so well regarding the price, also about age & us wearing what makes us happy!
I ordered the palette, it should be here soon (Australia) I’m so excited & can’t wait to get it! ❤️❤️❤️
More tutorials please. Beautiful wearable look!
You look fantastic. The eyeshadow is exquisite, of course. But I'm really digging your cheek color/highlight.
So beautiful as always! I think you can make any palette stunning, thank you for your inspiring videos!
Thank you so much!
Love it!!
My New Years resolution was no more eyeshadow palettes.
I would do a dupe for this if there was one
Beautiful look!!! I have this palette and absolutely love it💜💜💜💜
Would love to see more looks with this pallet. I can't afford it, but I can live through you! I really enjoy your channel and all your tips, tricks, opinions, honesty, etc. Thanks so much, Risa! P. S. I learned so much from the "downturned/hooded" eyes video.
It’s fantastic! Love it! I think I may have to add some sparkle myself 😊
What a stunning look!!!
I'm quite sure that was the MAC 239 brush with the numbers faded off. I purchased more than 5 backups of it before they went synthetic.
That’s the key how much will you use it that’s how Justify my high end purchases loved the look as well
It is worth Every dollar! Love your review😊
I get the feeling that you like this palette... LOL. I have it too. It's amazing. I just finished watching Mel Thompson's video on Natasha Denona Safari.... yikes!
Great review risa!! Loved the history on pat McGrath!! It’s beautiful and special!😘😘😘
Are you using PMG lipstick too? Can you please let me know the shade please. Thank you
So gorgeous so avant-garde
No joke, Pat McGrath's products are gorgeous. I have lip liners and lipsticks; they never let me down.
Lisa can you please update regarding this palette and some tutorials
Thanks!
Hi Amanda! Yes, I can absolutely address the differences in an upcoming video.
I am not a drugstore makeup fan. When I buy it, I am disappointed in the quality. So I am going to stick to my favorites. And boy I love the Pat Macgrath shadows
I’m in my 50s and I love colors... I love PMG.
Hi Rissa! I would love to see a Pat McGrath vs Natasha Denona video!
So glad that you mentioned the eyeliner struggle! Isn't it every girl's nightmare (having un-even and unsuccessful eye-liner) lol
Wow this is beautiful !
Looks really really pretty
Beautiful look, Risa.
I love the colours
your hair looks gorgeous! and so do you:)
Hi Laura! Yes, it’s the CT. I always forget to list my concealer! 😕
