This is how I feel about my friend. We were at a sleepover, and all she did was Snapchat every little thing we did. It was hard to feel like we were having a fun, personal sleepover with our friends.... rather than some movie or something we were all actresses in
Genevieve Jones oh my god, me too. I have Instagram and I post on it about twice a year, whenever anything cool happens or I have a particular artsy or pretty picture. But when she came to my house, she took so many photos. She did a live stream and it was really fun, I had no problem with it. But when my WiFi went down, she was just playing games on her phone and texting another friend. It was so boring, and I got the feeling that all the stuff she posted was just so fake and the real sleepover was nowhere near as fun as it looked online. Reality is realistic. You have to work hard to have a good life. People don’t seem to grasp that fact. If you miss a test, you don’t get more time to mess around. You replace some of your own time taking that test later on. Do the math, people, and then maybe you’ll all see how fake social media is. How fake everything is.

Rebecca, you may be 14 but you can still change the world for the better. Raise money for charity, join a beach clean, or take Inanna’s message and don’t grow up to be so obsessed with your image or care that much about social media. Otherwise you’ll get older and realise what a waste of time it is when you can just be enjoying things yourself or with people who you love and are really in your life, not just the digital version!
