Excellent vid. Anyone watching the huge number of mod/delete vids need to know, strongly, about the laws and need for tuning and upgrades before doing any mods. Well done!

Thank you! I’m glad you found the video helpful. Staying informed about the laws and proper tuning is definitely crucial before making any mods.

Pod Filters are not Cold Air Intakes and show negligible gains in performance over an OEM air box fitted with performance panel filter and large air dam/collector that actually funnels cold air into air box from front of vehicle or wheel arch etc.
If you cut open Pod Filter: You will also find that the surface area of pod filter is much smaller than standard OEM panel filters in majority of cases and using high-flow performance panel filter in air box will show better results; even without the extension of full cold air intake fitted.

Great insight! Pod filters are often overhyped, and you’re right OEM air boxes with performance panel filters and proper cold air routing usually deliver better gains. Thanks for breaking it down.

I love your videos but for number 5 people don't usually have to do a muffler delete since I bought a performance muffler instead which makes it sound like a monster but within the noise regulation. Muffler delete is sometimes common for beginners but a performance muffler is better as it increases the engine performance and let more air coming out of the engine while being within the noise regulation. Imagine a beast when it starts but also not too obnoxious

I agree. Sometimes muffler deletes can just sound garbage. A good muffler set up can make it sound like a beast coming at you.

@redneck94chevy depends on what company you go to there's always good performance mufflers that can fit your car and give it its own sound. I always recommend people to buy performance mufflers in a good example of one is for magna flow since I got two for my car and I still get compliments to this day because I just killed two birds with one stone since it looks great with the quad exhaust tips and also improve my engine performance

Thanks for the support and great insight! You're absolutely right a performance muffler is a smart upgrade, balancing sound, performance, and legal noise limits. Appreciate you sharing this tip.

It's only illegal if you get caught 😂 some mods like EGR and DEF delete actually make the engine run better and last longer. I've heard people getting better gas mileage from deleting their DPF and DEF systems. So it can't be worse for the environment if you're getting more usage out of a gallon and no parked regens having to high idle your diesel and wasting fuel.

It is worse for everyone. You really don't have a clue do you? The particle emissions are extremely harmful from burning diesel. That's why those systems are in place. Also the egr helps get your engine up to temperature and maintain proper operating temperature. A diesel without egr and def also smells so fucking foul, please don't remove the emission systems.

It’s true some mods can improve performance and efficiency, but the environmental trade-offs and legal risks are worth considering. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

@TheAutoBrain I know one guy with a trucking company that only uses pre DPF Peterbilts. If one sensor goes bad on a DEF system, it can pretty much make your vehicle useless.

@@redneck94chevy yes, for actual big trucks for hauling goods diesel is the best. I'm talking about cars.
