STARS!! Steven and Lars... FUSE!
Okay, so some of these drawings are gonna look VERY OFF. and that's because I actually started working on this back in AUGUST 2015.... but I only just now have been motivated to finish it up!

There was a little character development though. He got to learn about his shortcomings and he's still crushing hard on Sadie. Is it weird I got a huge laugh at Lars acting happy-go-lucky, schmoopy, and overall goofy even if it was Steven in Lars body?

smoky quartz uses gender-neutral pronouns, i.e. they/them, so not a man. niklas is right tho, if stars did happen it would be the first entirely male fusion unless they decided to use female pronouns anyway

Here's a fun fact: Lars's voice actor originally auditioned to be Steven.
I'm certain if Stars actually were a thing, they wouldn't have the same VA, but it's a interesting little reach-around to think about.

A bit rushed with the story, but the emotions still work and this could be REALLY amazing in the show. It's not too far outside the realm of possibility, either.

Steven Universe is a fun TV show with many secrets and hidden meanings. Theory and speculation videos are my favourite! However, this is not Steven Universe. This is a fan made animatic. The gem was clearly chosen at random, and has no possible hidden meaning, because it's a one-off animatic. Why not try applying that kind of motivation to the ACTUAL show? Or, alternatively, enjoy the animatic for what it was made for.
I actually do that all the time.
I'm just asking if that's what the artist intended.
I mean, I know it's not canon. You'd have to be a real idiot to believe that.
But still. Just because it's an animatic doesn't mean it's not what it looks like it is.

Rebecca herself said there is no such thing as "Filler" episodes in SU. All characters matter and there are details in every episode that will lead somewhere eventually ;-)

I think stars would be a great character... Maybe kind of awkward and unsure, like hanging out with friends, but gets really mad when something interferes with his friendship. They would be a really good and brave fighter. I know the video is 2 years old, but this is amazing!

The more compatible they are, the more human they look. That's why different fusions such as Malachite or even Sugilite look more monstrous compared to fusions like Garnet or Stevonnie. Sooo... Steven and Lars huh? I can get behind it.

I've shipped it since season ONE! (Lars and the cool kids, specifically) And back then it was so hard to find stuff about the two of them, I was so lonely. Luckily since they swapped bodies and then the wanted special, it's brought a bit more people to ship this :')
