To 'Zoom In / Out' use mouse scroll wheel in OpenRails.
In some games Far away objects can also be visible from one static view, you need to check the option from graphic settings option for the game, but might cause lags if h/w config. is weak due to additional graphics rendering.

It seems like texture is missing / corrupt. Make a backup of downloaded files like Routes, Trains, etc. Uninstall and Reinstall Microsoft Train Simulator again this should resolve. Instead of adding Indian Stocks just check whether overhead wire issue has been fixed or not. Then start adding Indian Stocks again.
