RB20 is actually a stronger motor. It doesn't get as much HP because of the low displacement, but a strong motor that'll run forever is more important than high hp, especially for drifting. Best thing to do is oil baffles, and block off from running up your timing cover under hard braking, bore out the rear oil drain and add a restricter to keep oil from pooling in the head. One thing you could add is that it's almost the same size as the coupe which is a plus when it comes to parts but a negative if you got the sedan expecting more rear leg room. Luckily my kids are still small.
I have a 1992 gtr. The boot (trunk) stays open on its own. The gtr has an aluminum boot so it's pretty light. I've had mine 10 years and in the time I've had it the attention has doubled in the last few years. As for people racing me. I'll go against anyone from the lights and not much seems to touch it. My GTS4/GTR widebody conversion didn’t come with a wing and trunk is correctly weighted. Correct on parts, started with a blown front outer cv boot, found 2 in US, postal system promptly lost them, ended up having all four axles rebuilt for $514, this led to all ball joints and tie rods needing replacing also changed to an adjustable coilover , now $3000 in parts and down for 6 weeks. JBᴇɴᴅᴏᴠᴀʟ 21 Ur insurance will be through the fucking roof if it's ur first car. When you are in ur late 20s it will drop but you are looking at $800 a month just for the "Skyline/GTR" name, and being a guy makes the insurance rate higher. So I have an uninsured Skyline chilling in my garage.
JBᴇɴᴅᴏᴠᴀʟ 21 My first car was gonna be a Porsche 944, glad I didn't. I got a 2007 Saturn Aura for my first car, 4 door sedan family car and my insurance was $300 a month, it's insane. I took drivers ed so I even have a discount, never had an accident (been driving for years), I don't even have full coverage, I have the minimum.
xXhackermodzXx you can always just insure a different car and use that insurance when driving the skyline, idk about your state but in Texas either the driver or the car needs to be insured, not both. Just a little loophole i use.

If you guys didn't notice a lot of it is minor he clearly took a while to find things he disliked. Also yes you can daily drive it just be prepared for the expense
Hopefully you got a great deal on that four door skyline 🤦🏽♀️.
My trunk on my gtst is the oposite of your it slam open when i pull the lever (its wingless)
You have a GTS-T. But the Skyline GTR-R32 is a legitimate race car. Cup holders were the last of the engineers worries when making Skylines.lol
your trunk is heavy because the water in your spoiler, remove the spoiler and drain it than your trunk will open on its own
If I get one should I buy a window decal that says “no I don’t want to race, you’ll probably win”
Owner of 1989 Skyline GTST Type M coupe here. That trunk thing is the same on mine, bitch slammed on me and scared the shit outta me, luckily I didn't get caught, but certainly not just your car lol.
Hey I know it’s been a while, but what is the difference t between the type m and just gtst
@@dogeguy1716 The Type M had uprated brakes from the 300ZX Twin Turbo and 15" 5 spoke wheels. Other than that, not much difference.
Just subbed.Looking to get one in the near future
Sick it's like a crew cab skyline love jt
I live in Texas and I’m wondering how reliable is it and what Common problems are with the engine suspension and electronics
#4 is one of the things i don't like about my 2012 RT challenger. Would trade it for a 89 gtr any day though
ok. I APOLOGISE FIRST. you making comments what you hate about these cars.true I,ve had the boot come down on me.but I wasn,t angry about it. I just accepted it. I shoulda park my skidder on diff angle from the wind.[yea dangerous I know]. BUT moaning about about cup holders. lmfao. I,ve not heard of no one moaning about no cup holders in new Zealand. or Australia. but they do have hotter weather than us kiwis. yea theres stereo types. but who cares! you don,t deserve this r32 for attention .you buy one. because for what it is.i,ve had a couple of peeps who wanna drag me of the lights.plus a few who woulded . plus afew I never felt like it, plus gets thumps up on that.because they know what the car is.or they,ve seen it. those who didn,t. I gave respect. ACTULLY you disrespect the skidder by making this vid.i,ve own a 68 mustang. and I never disrespect the pony. I,ll give you respect for you putting it in car shows. that's about it. if your not happy with it. put it on the market in nz or in aussie .. like I said sorry for my comments. btw. gtr r32 was band of the Bathurst race tracks. because the where 4wd.and lelf everything behind. even v8s. but I say to you admire it and look after it. oh, drive it to blow the water of before putting windows down lol
I am the same way I treat my car like I do myself nice and keeping it happy the gtst is an amazimg car much love 🤙🏽
Love the car!! Absolute dream car👍🏻
Yeah getting parts for my rhd 1990 sw20 mr2 is hard.. and people wanting to race me is annoying
hey man the trunk of my Nissan Xtrail have it's hidraulic stuff broken and is always falling on your head unless you held it up
Defect of yours. Mine holds up fairly well. It's a 91.
Now parts, yes. That WAS a major issue lolol. Like the ECU... good luck lmao.
Are basic parts sorta easy to find? spark plugs, air filters, etc?
howd u fit the wheels on without spacers? i have these same thing and the brakes on my r32 gtst are too big. gotta get like 5 or 7mm.
im Schwaggy camber lol
the boot problem is just a skyline thing same thing for my r33 gtst
Nah, its tension rods either broken or not installed correctly. On my r32 gtst the trunk opens completely when you pull the lever and stays up there.
I like how much respect there is for your GTR. I’m only a couple years away from mine and I just want a super clean gtr. Idgaf about doing highway pulls or stop light digs 😂😂😂 trying to slide it around. Just a clean car to enjoy and maybe doing some sporty canyon mountain driving
Nice. The r32 is my absolute dream car. How much did you get for? Im planning it as to be my first car
I paid about 12k you can get them from 9-15k depening on condition ect. thanks for watching!
So I have an uninsured Skyline chilling in my garage.
xXhackermodzXx glad i didnt. Got a ‘17 civic instead. Might as well wait till im older to get one...
With all of that being said, I still want one lol
i got a question, can i just buy r32 tail lights and swap em out or do i have to change the rear end conplwtly?
Getting a GTST this month or next month sold my R1 for my Dream car
Gundamgssify did u get it?
Welll, DID YOU?
Did you????(??
i just wondering what websites do you go to for parts ive been having trouble finding light assemblies, engine and interior parts
Hey man, what size wheels do you have? looking at getting some new ones for my car and I quite like your fitment!
those are 18x9.5+10
@@skylinedude951 any extra mods required to fit aside from rolling the guards?
Not sure if the boot lid on a coupe is different, but mine springs up when i pull the lever. Never have to lift it myself
What exhaust is that? Sounds amazing.
i don't remember what it was at this point lol
My 1993 r32 Gtst doesnt have that boot problem there isnt counterweights i think mines just on a spring so that it stays up with pressure untill you pull it down
What song did you use at 0:30? Also this defiantly helped me decide that I want one of these
Nice R dude its the first Sedan R32 i like
Thanks man appreciate it!
Where did you purchase the skyline for that price?
Cool video!!
Tasty_chuy thanks!
My buddy as one like that and yes !! The trunk is like that
Currently driving an 08 wrx, thinking of switching to a beater and a skyline, any reccomendations?
depends on what your situation is really.
Its the wing you have on your trunk, is why it closes so hard. Did your car come with that Nismo front bumper or did you buy it?
No that was a add on, the wing i am not sure was on it when i bought it.
Do you mind if I ask where you got the bumper? I need a new one for my car.
I daily drive a Silvia and the practicality is poor but she is fun!
I mean. Every island in my country isn't even 1 mile so the skyline is the perfect car.
you like the wheels they look awful i use my car daily with 17inch wheels and original suspension a great drive
Hay mate. If you can try and get parts from australia we have a bunch of R32s over here and people are always braking them down. Parts are cheap and plentiful.
must be nice!!! lol they are expensive here
Great video thank you 😊
Thanks for watching!
You bought the car for the attention it brings but you think it’s inappropriate when they ask how much you bought it for. It’s a solid question to ask bro you sound like my 6th grade math teacher. No offense. if I saw someone in a skyline the first thing I would ask is the HP and how much did you buy the car for.
Can you tell me is he death for wallet when you have wage of 1500-2000€ per month?
I have Skyline in my plan for future.
Haris Not really. This exact car in the video is around $13,000 USD (11,615€) and I have two secondary school friends who have both bought RHD cars from Japan at this price point and they work at a grocery store. All about how you save. You can do it!
where did you buy it? I just wanna ask cause im here in japan. any advice pls
Should i get a R32 Gts-t as a first car? If no why not?
Insurance would be fucked and you'll probably crash it
Why can't windows be hard plastic instead?
If you don't want to spend the money on this car you can always play Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. But a viper, buy the viper
Says wants to take a chance to give wheel and tire specs doesn't give tire specs 😑😅 what's the tire specs on the front?
It's not wrong to ask someone how much they paid for a car if someone's trying to do research on how much a car cost it's wrong to ask how much you make
Ive been looking a a 92 gtst coupe my biggist question is how it is to maintian will it always be a shit ton to fix somthing or is it just a few things? (The one im looking at has 23k miles)
Gay, i daily mine, but i also work on my own stuff
gaisha garage does it give you any problems?
I have never had that rain issue in my 32 Sedan... 🤔
I had cupholders...
I put a GT wing on my trunk, and didn't have an issue with it closing, but I can understand that issue.
You need to live with the stereotypes man lol. Maybe you need a tune to be faster? 🙄
To be fair they are all pretty minor issues lol
Hey man I’m fixing to buy one do you know what could cause a loss in power and it cutting off?
another question to add to the list for people who have a gtst at car meets "why didnt you buy the gtr?"
because they didn't want one? or cant afford one? do you ask every turbo mustang owner why they didn't buy a v8?
@@skylinedude951 uh yeah... Derp. Why would you buy a v6 mustang. Or a non gtr skyline. Just save a little more money. It's always worth it
Hi mate I have r33 gtst and this car have this same problem what r32 but WE LOVE THIS CARS!!
A lot of these "dislikes" could be applied to a majority of cars from the 80's.
It was a struggle to come up with them in the first place because its a great car!
skylinedude951 very true, I love 80's cars
You own a unique car not inappropriate to ask how much you paid smh
yes ok i get it lol ive answered the question 15 time at this point
My trunk could kill me
