Visited Banff and Jasper for the second time last week. Went 2 years ago for the first time. Been watching your videos and they are fantastic! Would love to have a quick chat with you to discuss the wildlife I saw and show you some pictures.
Wow that's great. July is one of the best times of year to visit Banff and Jasper. Have you done everything in the videos? Please let me know if you think I left anything out. I'll be filming again in July actually.
Hmm, that all depends on your preferences! There's lots of great hotels at different price points and wow factors. Email me through my website and let's get you sorted out! insiderstravelguidecanada.com/
That is a huge compliment. Thank you. I certainly would love to help you plan the perfect trip if I can. If you visit www.insiderstravelguidecanada.com you can message me with some more details.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of planning a trip in late June as opposed to early September; especially weather. What about possibility of “smoke” from fires???
Good questions. In June you can have four seasons in one day LOL. The weather in late August and early September are more dependable summer weather, but the fire risks are higher which generally won't affect your trip at all. Just might have some hazier skies. But the mountains can surprise you any time of year weather wise.
Brendan that's great news! What a place to spend your honeymoon. You'll have an incredible time. Many things open in May. Feel free to email me at explore@insiderstravelguide.com if you need any help planning the perfect honeymoon. I've got a few insights. And thanks for your feedback on my video. I really do appreciate it.
Great, informative video. I am planning a trip the very last week of June. I would like to have tea/ lunch at the Lake Louise Fairmont Chateau. Do I have to make a reservation?
Thanks Dee I appreciate your comments! While you don't have to make a reservation, I highly recommend it. It can be quite busy, especially in June. Let me know if you want any help planning the day if you are heading to the Lake. I'll try to be helpful!
Yes you do. The Banff National Park Pass allows you to enjoy all of the other great things Banff has to offer. You can buy a day pass however and you don't need to buy a yearly pass.
I plan to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks in late August and staying at Fairmont Hots Springs. ow id the weather at that time and all those 20 places must visit in your video still good to go? Thanks for the great video.
Good afternoon, yes the Top 20 Banff is up to date, and the Top 15 Jasper is up to date except for a few name changes like the Jasper Tramway has now been changed to the Jasper Skytram. You can book all of the activities you see in the video here on our website. Easy. insiderstravelguidecanada.com/
The only thing inaccurate with this video is now (2024) you can not drive yourself to Moraine unless you stay at the lodge in the summer or have a handicap sticker for your car.

We’re heading there for our honeymoon in May, so this is a great video for tips, thanks! I’m assuming some things might still be closed in May?

Hi, I was wondering that to visit the Banff gondola do I need a parks Canada pass even if I have bought gondola tickets? Thanks!
Yes you do. The Banff National Park Pass allows you to enjoy all of the other great things Banff has to offer. You can buy a day pass however and you don't need to buy a yearly pass.
Does anyone know if Banff has free covid testing places before heading back to the states?
That is a good question. I'll find out. I'm pretty sure the rapid test would have to be done at the airport.
@@InsidersTravelGuideCanada Please lmk if you find out any more information on this. Thanks!
I you drive back to the states then you would not need a COVID-19 test, however; you would if you flight back.
@@nghiaho535 We will be flying back. Are there any free tests in Banff or Canmore?
@@deet7683 I don't know. If you are flying back at Calgary then I am sure there are places to test there.
