    • @JasonSallinger
      @JasonSallinger 7 лет назад +2

      Agree Isaac and dlear. They've not had the same bass since Undertow. Love the first two albums.

    • @starlightwolves1525
      @starlightwolves1525 6 лет назад

      Isaac Mims yeah as the rumor goes Paul and Adam were both lead guitars but tool didn’t have a bassist so Paul stepped up. It seems to really show in this video too, notice he plays the bass more like a lead guitarist and definitely jumps around more like one. I imagine his lead guitar tendencies are why the first two albums sound more heavy metal than alternative like later albums.

      They’re all set up slightly different and the combination of the three creates Jones’ signature tone. The Mesa’s have been replaced by Diezel VH4’s nowadays but the Marshall Super Bass is still part of his current setup.

    • @JackPeloquin
      @JackPeloquin 6 месяцев назад

      Get yourself a DAW. Ableton maybe. Then load three audio tracks. Find some free IRs/cab emulators. Place a different one on each track. Arm/play/record all three at once.
      You should feel/hear the difference. But it’s all up to the individual. The music maker.
