I decided to go into the woods and build a bunker, it started to pour but I at least had shelter finally after days of chopping wood. The thunder cracked as the music settled to just only the piano (2m mark) and that's the moment I noticed this song and forever solidified Project Zomboid as my favourite game. Finally topping my WoW experience in the 2000s while in college... Video games aren't dead.
Late to the party here, but yeah i kind of obsessively like this one, not sure why. I think i've heard an older version of it play on some yt video about zomboid knowledge and been hunting for it ever since, but i'm starting to think that was just yt crunching the shit out of the audio. I'm still convinced the supposedly old version i heard sounded like the actual early game soundtracks, which is, kinda like a crappy old midi song, which i happen to enjoy.
You've been inside for so long. You watched the TV, and listened to the radio even after everything stopped. Its winter now, you still have enough food to get to spring. You know you can't keep doing this, some day you'll go outside. You'll face the horrors but today isn't that day. So you stay waiting for help that shall never come.
This track symbolizes the aftermath, to me. After the broadcasts stop, after the evacs stop coming or going, after all falls silent, there's only you, the dead, and the empty world you used to call home. But there's something there. I can't place it, but this song stirs something else. I wouldn't call it hope, more like a sad curiosity of sorts. Wondering that, if you do make it through, what's next? With no civilization left, you have no obligations, no purpose to serve anymore. It's as if a mentor is saying "You've done well to make it this far, but now you must find your own way."
Only voices you hear are emergency broadcasts, nothing else. Hope fades away gasoline expires, meds go bad, canned food rots only decaying zombies remain thes slowly fall apart, the smell is getting to you.The house you lived in is the last one remaining The neigbouring houses crumple the empty cabinets get wet they grow mold so much molt that you can't even enter the houses anymore. No more zombies you conquerd kentucky back, (pause for dramatic effect)You are Alone for now.......... This will be updtated when B42 comes out so the story continunes
They'll come from you. But if it's zombies or rescue, you're not quite sure. You just know that, eventually, they'll come for you. You just need to wait.
Perfectly describes how it feels waiting after a scratch/laceration to see if you turn queasy or not. There's still busy work to do like unloading the loot run, but your just waiting for that moodle to appear, usually with a tub of bleach ready the second it does appear.
The old end has come to an end. You're now entering the beginning of the new beginning. If a piece of audio/music could be a liminal space, this piece would be it.
This song hits so much harder after a hard day’s work or a narrow escape. I love the feeling this gave gives me, isolation, yea, but freedom to do or build anything.
Equip a headset for 0:41, and put the volume up, you can here a really deep guitar sound there. (which you can hear alot of time in this song (even without headphones at 1:30 and 3:53), it honestly gives the song a different vibe, you are alone walking after just escaping muldraugh during the rain in a forest... but you aren't alone in that forest, there is something groaning a mile away, hidden in the trees, waiting to bite you. Waiting)
My sandbox idea: I made zombies become a sprinters at daytime, stay in the crowd area during daytime is a nightmare, especially during helicopter event (i made helicopter event not only once happened), zombies become slower at nighttime, scavenging safer during this time but i made nighttime pitch black, hard for you to know where's the zombies with limited light source and yes everything get worse when the electricity shutted off I hope there's a mod that can make nighttime brighter only during full moon just like don't starve or a mod that can make zombies slower during rainy day and any day without the sun (so you need to stay tune on AEBS radio)

Most of the calm ones give me The Last of Us vibes and I love it.

This game is absolutely incredible. I can't wait for it to get more of the respect and admiration that it deserves

The best in the game. When you finally can rest in a quiet place after a long and stressfull combat against them.
Like a This War Of Mine music, really cool
My favorite by far! What a masterpiece!

This has "it's about time" vibes
I swear most of the time I make my character sleep while this is playing
This is the sleeping theme for me
I love this and hate this game at the same time
This plays kinda often when im using a mod that makes the game have eternal snow. It feels moody and bleak.
