Japan has the best customer service in the world, I feel like the characters and workers genuinely love what they do. I had the best experience on my birthday at Disney sea.
The actor in ollivanders wand shop is my brother! He's been there since before covid and I haven't been able to see him or see him perform that role, SO glad you guys were able to and hope you enjoyed it! 🥰

@@flyingthenest We definitely hit Dotonbori like you did for the street food! But also Tokyo, Himeji, Kyoto (loved the walking tour of the Geiko district of Gion), Hiroshima, Takayama and the snow Monkeys 🙊 near Nagano! It was all epic! Oh, and of course 7-11 😂
That park looks so amazing. Hopefully I can travel to Japan next year and visit all the theme parks. My kids will love Nintendo land so I hope they go with me.

@@flyingthenest We're there mostly to visit my daughter who is studying in Japan for the year. Tokyo and Osaka will be our main focus as we plan to do both Disney parks and USJ. We're big Disney fans (like you!). We're there from 12/19-12/31 so super excited to be spending the holidays in Japan. i can't wait to see my kiddo and have this amazing experience together!

It was fun seeing your mum's reaction to Harry Potter!! I used to work there as a ride operator so when you see it everyday, the excitement wears off...but this got me excited again haha! Can't wait till the LA nintendo world opens

Lovely to see you travelling with Jess’s parents. I have done a few trips with my adult daughters, never all four at the same time, and even been told I wore them out! However, I have never, and will never, do a theme park. To crazy for me.
Life is better when you share it with family and friends. What incredible memories were made traveling with Jen's Mom, and Dad I would totally be crushed after a day like the one you had at Universal Studios. I think I would also be blown away entering Harry Potter's world too just like Jen's Mom was. Little Hunter will have a huge library full of videos of her life before her baby comes and she can guide them in all the countries of the world. Stephen and Jess, your videos always make me celebrate life with you, from my little office here in Peoria, Arizona. Well…I’m Japanese I don’t mean to let you down, but you are not allowed to take off your mask during the ride in Japan and you can’t record the Mario cart ride because of the rights of Nintendo. Many tourists don’t know that so it’s okay, but please remember next time

The LA one is almost finished. They are building a new Universal park in Orlando called Epic Worlds which will have a different Nintendo world and Harry Potter section. The Epic Worlds park will have rides and attractions not at the Japanese or other Universal parks.
My grandkids would love this place! My grandsons were Mario and Luigi for Halloween. It looks like Hunter and your folks had a wonderful time too. Can’t wait to see where we go from here with you ❤!

How lovely that your parents were willing to give a ride a go. I love Stephen's description of the games and challenges within the rides. Reminds me of when you did Star Wars and his description of all the mission, they were great!
After visiting both Nintendo Worlds in Japan and Hollywood, I feel that both parks are better in their own ways. In Japan, there is a lot more different activities to do, with more variety of different foods that are way better than Hollywood's Toadstool Cafe (Except for the Burgers, Hollywood does them better), they also have their own unique headbands which japan's headbands are better, while hollywood's shirts and hats are better. And rides like Mario Kart, compared to Hollywood, takes less time to line up for than in Hollywood. If you are lucky, you can get in to Japan's Nintendo World as early as 7:30am in the morning. However, unlike Hollywood, there are some days where you MUST book a Timed Entry Ticket (Virtual Line) in order to get to the park, and sometimes you must go to a specialized kiosk to book them. Meeting mascots (except Toad) is much stricter, due to the fact that unlike Hollywood, you are not allowed to have your phone to take pictures with mascots, you must stand in a specific position when you meet mascots, you must pose how the mascot poses for pictures, and you must pay 6000 yen for pictures. While in Hollywood, it's just you interacting with the mascot, the staff are allowed to use your phone for picture taking, and you are allowed to greet the mascots with how you like to greet them (plushies). When I met Peach in Japan, the line takes longer compared to Hollywood (30 minutes in Japan). And she would just interact with the staff member every time and only interact with me based on what the staff tells her to do for the first 30 seconds of the meet and greet to fill in that time. When I even tried to greet her with my plushies, she just ignores them. When I met Peach in Hollywood the line is way shorter (2-15 minutes), and she is even willing to get to know more of my different plushies, and with Toadette being her favourite, she would always be happy to hold her and hug her for the picture-taking. The meet and greet is straight to the point and no nonsense.

That is the coolest theme park I have ever seen OMG!! If they put one up in Florida I'm so going LOL
After visiting both Nintendo Worlds in Japan and Hollywood, I feel that both parks are better in their own ways.
In Japan, there is a lot more different activities to do, with more variety of different foods that are way better than Hollywood's Toadstool Cafe (Except for the Burgers, Hollywood does them better), they also have their own unique headbands which japan's headbands are better, while hollywood's shirts and hats are better. And rides like Mario Kart, compared to Hollywood, takes less time to line up for than in Hollywood. If you are lucky, you can get in to Japan's Nintendo World as early as 7:30am in the morning.
However, unlike Hollywood, there are some days where you MUST book a Timed Entry Ticket (Virtual Line) in order to get to the park, and sometimes you must go to a specialized kiosk to book them. Meeting mascots (except Toad) is much stricter, due to the fact that unlike Hollywood, you are not allowed to have your phone to take pictures with mascots, you must stand in a specific position when you meet mascots, you must pose how the mascot poses for pictures, and you must pay 6000 yen for pictures.
While in Hollywood, it's just you interacting with the mascot, the staff are allowed to use your phone for picture taking, and you are allowed to greet the mascots with how you like to greet them (plushies).
When I met Peach in Japan, the line takes longer compared to Hollywood (30 minutes in Japan). And she would just interact with the staff member every time and only interact with me based on what the staff tells her to do for the first 30 seconds of the meet and greet to fill in that time. When I even tried to greet her with my plushies, she just ignores them.
When I met Peach in Hollywood the line is way shorter (2-15 minutes), and she is even willing to get to know more of my different plushies, and with Toadette being her favourite, she would always be happy to hold her and hug her for the picture-taking. The meet and greet is straight to the point and no nonsense.
Cannot wait for Nintendo World to be finished building in Singapore Universal Studios :D

Wow, how fun is this place? We here in the US of course have a Harry Potter Wizarding World in FL, but no SNES World! Is it wrong that I might stand underneath that Super Mario Bros. coin block for hours, jumping up and down just to hit it? 😂 I've always wanted to do that.
Hahaha it’s so satisfying hitting those coin blocks! So they’re building these lands in both LA and Florida
