Stefan Lessard on the bass is one of the most underrated bass players out there. He is a killer groove machine. Great tone, great groove, great lines. One of the all time greatest.
Damn I've been dying to see a comment on these videos about him. I effing agree to the fullest!!! No one ever seems to notice his sick ass bass lines...like damn...they are soulful and moving af!
not to take away from the amazing music he's written or played but he's hardly irreplaceable. every time vic wooten steps in you see what an innovative and flexible bass player is about.
I was just thinking this and how he is underrated/underappreciated in the fan base. Dude has been killing it. They all have honestly. But he seems to be the less noted.
Sweet Jesus!! He is incredible and Sweet Jesus !!! THEY ALL ARE!!! RE: Crash From the very beginning we can all tell this was was going to build layer by layer into one of "those"... You all know what i mean. But when Carter comes out with that look thru to the whole band and his smile shines onto his face - as i like you say, when Carter is happy, we are too!!!!
They are indeed Masters and to use their talent in sync with one another, and to openly show their respect of one other and to share these things with us in their Concerts, the Streaming, CDs, RUclips - just inviting us to enjoy them as often as we want astounds me that such talent can also be so generous and humble. Their message is one of Celebration, Life and Love. The real things, good, sad, happy, bad, serious, powerful, ballads, dance, etc..., no single Jack of trade who is not a Master of his.
OK, where do I even begin? First, great song. Second, Dave's voice never fails to impress. Third, this band is by far one of the most talented bands out there. Carter on the drums is like listening to a fireworks display from beginning to the little teaser finale's to the grand finale at the end where you are trying to keep up with it all.
I was at this show! The acoustic set was amazing, the electric set sucked (except for maybe this song), and the encore was amazing. So glad they actually had this!
its like first nice and then its like oh this is like pearl jam or so and then youre like damn cant listen to this any longer - just like pearl jam :-))
Boyd's solo is so boring and played with such bad intonation I can hardly listen to it. Tim's, on the other hand, is creative and interesting and beautiful. Love Chameleon on the horns. Perfect for this tune.

Need to turn him up in mix

When I hear those first bass chords into Crush it does something to me every damn time.
Brings a tear to my eye when I hear that bass groove. It's magical
Same here ...but I know that'd poop my pants if I ever got that chance to bust off into that groove in front of a HUGE audience .
I get this incredible sense of nostalgia. I was in college when this song came out. It changed my way of listening to music
Carter Beauford on the drums! sweet Jesus he's incredible.
Master of Rhythm!
Arguably The Best There Ever Was
Sweet Jesus!! He is incredible and Sweet Jesus !!! THEY ALL ARE!!!

Greatest band ever ❤️
These fellas are all true masters of their instrument. How blessed we are to have the DMB in this world!

Freakin Boyd! He's awesome. Keep on jamming. Yea baby!
One of my favorite songs of all time! Reminds me of one of the best times in my life. College parties.
POWERFULL, FANTASTIC!!! Singing this is a mantra of pure vital energy, purification with high level Art!!! Thank you so much!!! =D
I saw them on that tour, it was the best concert I had seen in years
Like 20 years ago and have been hooked since

All time favorite band. No question!
Ok. Carter is the King of Drums....any questions? Watch the end of the song...Perfection!!
Holy shit yes!! DMB radio is back on Sirius XM!!! I’m so excited and happy!! Best time of the year baby!!!
I'm forever watching the dave Matthews band jamming waiting for them to slip up.....they never do! Awesome!
Jay Wetton I saw Boyd once drop his violin why you should have seen the look on Dave’s. He was pissed off.
I miss Leroy on the sax in this song RIP
How does Tim move his fingers so fast! He's the best I've ever seen.
Heck yeah! Jeff pullin out some Herbie Hancock - Chameleon at 10:43!!
Looked for that comment lol! Wasn't sure about it.. I love when the do that with other songs.. 🔥 for sure
I love the little hint of Chameleon from the horn section!
LOVE this song. Somebody has to be upside down, right?
Dave's gaze into my soul at 6:54 melts me every time 🥰🔥
One of my fave DMB songs... sighs
Bring back BT!
This song makes me happy
And there's Carter! What else can be said, he's amazing!
FACE MELTED...as always. I had to spin this to get Boyd on the fiddle and Carter simply laying waste to all things DRUMS! So good. Thank you DMB!
Love when Boyd jams with dave!
15 min of pure music
Dmb always rocking it
The amazing Carter Beauford !!
I love your bass Stefan, it's beutiful.
I want the song back the way it was.
Boyd...that's what I'm talking about.
I was at this show! The acoustic set was amazing, the electric set sucked (except for maybe this song), and the encore was amazing.
So glad they actually had this!
Boyd Tinsley❤
And that's why I miss Boyd!
They always crush this song.
love the Chameleon!!!
Same...u know I love you Dave....bring it
DMB all are dedicated and passionate music friends
best part at 13:37 with rashawn looking for the cue from carter :-)
Always wonderful! We are waiting for you guys in Brazil.
Great stuff! Keep on rockin' 👍
Awesome. .They were great in the 90s..n the instrumental s are amazing.
goosebumps
Carter is a Monster!!!!
The Band was at its best when they decide to dump Boyd. Band is never the same.
SERIOUSLY Carter...damn
Love this!
Carter.... defies all possible human ability. It’s really just that simple.
I was here!
its like first nice and then its like oh this is like pearl jam or so and then youre like damn cant listen to this any longer - just like pearl jam :-))
These guys and these songs are like a old best friend. Can’t want till Mississippi. Btw, somebody has to be upside down, right?
God I love this band... and Tim is the fucking shit. I definitely do NOT regret naming my cat after him 😬
Hell yeah!
Carter is just so nasty on them drums!!
That guitar tho
Chills
Great 👏👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷
I've been working on playing this song on the drums for weeks now but it's so hard to decipher what the heck carter is playing I mean, dang
Just hit everything very fast and with an incredible musical sense, ez.
Best way for us lowly minions of Carter to play DMB songs. Get any of the Dave and Tim acoustic only CDs. Play along with those.
arthurtelf only problem with those is Dave doesn’t like to play in time. He constantly deviates from the count
Boyd is really rocking that Versace beanie lol
No ha llegado el minuto uno... Y ya hay que dar like.
Nice Chameleon (herbie Hancock) Riff there from Jeff fits well in this song
Hehe. The boys starting to get a little salt and pepper going on.
Just blazing it
💖
Top!
Boyd :'(
I do miss Boyd's musical contribution.
Dammit Boyd!
oh my god
You dont just walk out on a dave song...even if its 14 minutes..
Tyler Imp you do if it’s Stand Up
Tim is God.
As músicas sem o violino do Boyd não são as mesmas :(
2:29 haha
Nothing wrong with feeling high 😑💨
i was talking about 'weed'
No shit?
did anyone else here the girl screaming?
All complaints about Tim are irrelevant because he made this song with that crazy solo
Which one's Dave?
As of this comment, one person has no soul. 🎧
I do not like dmb but this song is awesome
Who does the audio mix on these videos? Sounds great.
Boyd Tinsley creeps me out
That girl screaming at the beginning needs to be removed from the show! Ridiculous!
Boyd's solo is so boring and played with such bad intonation I can hardly listen to it. Tim's, on the other hand, is creative and interesting and beautiful.
Love Chameleon on the horns. Perfect for this tune.
