I went to Isla Mujeres in 1992 and we took a small boat from Cancun .We went snorkeling and then had a picnic on the beach. There was next to nothing on the island. Crazy how much it’s changed! Loving all of your videos!
Hi Trent and Allie I sailed a yacht to Isla Mujeres and spent 2 months on the Island before sailing down to Belize. Where I spent 3 months on an Island called Ambergris Caye in the town of San Pedro. The town is the inspiration for the song "La Isla Bonita" (which begins with the line "last night I dreamt of San Pedro"), written by Madonna, Patrick Leonard and Bruce Gaitsch.
Allie your love of animals and history are the reasons why I love watching your videos. As a history and science teacher I really enjoy learning new things from you. I am getting ready to drive my Promaster from California to Colorado to get it converted tomorrow and then when I retire in December will join the nomad lifestyle. Can’t wait! Thanks for all your videos as you inspired me.
My husband and I spent 10 days in Isla Mujeres diving. It was such a fantastic trip. We went to the turtle sanctuary and watched the sun set on Punta Sur. Thanks for sharing such a great memory for us!

You guys made Mexico seem like a safe country compared to what you hear from the media. Hopefully after your van journey a catamaran is next on your list. I feel like I'm being called to the ocean, but my wife doesn't feel safe on the water. It might be the nudge we need to start sailing in the future. Good luck, and safe travels
Just a recommended if you like sailing catamarans….Gone with the Wynns. Their sailing channel is great and they went from a RV to a catamaran with no sailing experience. They have the same vib as Trent and Allie

Holy Cow! Isla was hardly populated when I was there in 1980. Cancun and Tulum were not developed, and Cozumel was also WAY less populated. Sort of sad to see the changes.
Nice channel guys ! One thing about this video , no great white sharks in Isla Mujeres or the Riviera Maya , those in the Island are Nurse Sharks , north you can find Whale sharks in summer time and south of Cancun Bill Sharks in winter . Enjoy this amazing trip

Oooh been there, done that, awesome, except we went out on a pirate ship and had a lauau on the beach and party. Did you see the guy who lives there on a plastic island? He built an island out of discarded plastic and built a house on it out of "junk" has growing trees etc. way cool.

I went snorkeling in Isla Mujeres several times while I was in Cancun. I was more worried about barracudas than sharks 🤷♀️ When I went to go snorkeling and lunch was $10. Best $10 I've ever spent. I even swam with sharks while I was there. Nurse sharks. I love that island.

So glad my favorite RUclipsrs made it to Isla Mujeres! Was lucky enough to catch a fishing boat near where you were to the yachts. An excellent day in fantastic Waters, and caught a 60 lb sailfish👍✌💯 looks like the new drone is working fine :-)
If you can find something like a Tilley hat you can stuff it in a pocket or a backpack and they spring back into a hat shape.....Well it's not perfect but I swear by them and they come in different materials. I even got one for my Dad because his meds make him extremely sensitive to sunlight and he won't go anywhere without his stuffed in a pocket. Although I do think your woven hat is pretty cool.

Kinda cool seeing all the golf carts, rather than quite as many full sized cars. Easier with the smaller vehicle to get around on a small island.
Iran also has a sea turtle protection program, just learned that yesterday.
