Just because we’re heard of it doesn’t make it true and I don’t think you understand that the Quran is just the first few books of the Bible and that it even states of Christ Jesus being the messiah. Also, Christianity has proof to back it up but I have yet to see factual evidence for the Quran. Now don’t mistake this for condemnation but rather as a reminder that not all things are true.

Why Be Catholic? (Catholic Viewpoint with Bible Verses)
The **Catholic Church** is the only Christian Church that traces its roots directly to **Christ and the apostles** (**Matthew 16:18-19**), offering an unbroken lineage of authority for nearly two thousand years. It is rooted in, yet transcends, time and history, providing access to **God’s unchanging truth** (**1 Timothy 3:15**).
The Church has survived all forms of **persecution** (**Matthew 5:11-12**), showing its **divine strength** (**Matthew 28:20**). Catholics take **Scripture seriously** (**2 Thessalonians 2:15**), and through the **Church’s magisterium**, they are assured that their beliefs are **divinely revealed truths**, not human opinions (**Luke 10:16**).
The Church remains the **true path to salvation** (**Acts 4:12**), guiding the faithful with **God’s grace** (**Ephesians 2:8-9**).
    Praise the Lord 🙏🏻

You don’t seem to understand how salvation works so let me just say that within the Catholic Church we find doctrine of infant baptism that is said to be wrong within the Bible and that they call the apostles saints as if they have no sin but that’s not true. Also, the Catholic Church was very corrupted and still is as the pope is endorsing homosexuality in marriage. And back then the Catholic Church were the only ones allowed to read the Bible and told people they could PAY for their salvation. It was Martin Luther who wrote the 90 plus reasons why the Catholic Church was wrong. I suggest you read up on him and why we as Christians can now read a Bible and have salvation in Jesus Christ not within that of a church.

      @Levi-l7u8h
      **Dear Friend,**
I appreciate your passion for discussing salvation and the role of the Church. I’d like to respond to your points from a Catholic perspective, using Scripture as the foundation.
      **1. Infant Baptism**
The Catholic Church teaches infant baptism because baptism is necessary for salvation (John 3:5), and it replaces circumcision as the sign of the covenant (Colossians 2:11-12). In the early Church, entire households were baptized, which likely included children (Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, 1 Corinthians 1:16). Since original sin affects all (Romans 5:12), even infants need baptism to be freed from it.
      **2. The Apostles and Sainthood**
Catholics do not believe the apostles or any saints were sinless except for Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23). Being a "saint" does not mean someone never sinned; rather, it means they have been sanctified by God and are in Heaven (Revelation 7:9-14). Paul refers to living believers as “saints” (Romans 1:7, 1 Corinthians 1:2), so the Church uses the term in the same biblical way.
      **3. Corruption in the Church**
Throughout history, some leaders in the Church have sinned, just as Judas, one of the twelve apostles, betrayed Jesus (John 6:70-71). However, the Church as an institution remains Christ’s body (Ephesians 1:22-23). Jesus promised that the "gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18), ensuring that corruption by individuals would not destroy His Church.
As for the Pope and his stance on homosexuality, the Church teaches that marriage is between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). While Pope Francis has emphasized compassion and pastoral care for all people, the Church’s doctrine on marriage has not changed.
**4. Reading the Bible and Salvation by Payment**
It is a misconception that only the Catholic clergy could read the Bible. Before the printing press, handwritten Bibles were rare, so people relied on oral teachings (Romans 10:17). The Church preserved and copied Scripture throughout history.
Regarding the selling of indulgences, some abuses occurred, but the Church corrected them at the Council of Trent (1545-1563). The Church has never taught that salvation can be bought (Ephesians 2:8-9); rather, indulgences involve prayers and good works, which Scripture encourages (James 5:16, Matthew 6:19-21).
      **5. Martin Luther and Salvation**
Martin Luther raised valid concerns, but he also introduced errors. The idea of "faith alone" (sola fide) contradicts James 2:24: *"You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone."* Catholics believe salvation is by grace (Ephesians 2:8), through faith working in love (Galatians 5:6), and involves obedience to Christ (Matthew 7:21).
      ### **Conclusion**
Catholics believe in salvation through Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12), and the Church is His instrument to teach and guide believers (1 Timothy 3:15). The early Christians followed the Church (Acts 2:42), and we continue to do so today, trusting in Jesus' promise to remain with His Church (Matthew 28:20).
If you would like to discuss further, I’m happy to continue this conversation in the spirit of Christian unity and love.
      God bless! 🙏🏻

@ I see what your getting at but we aren’t saved by works and states this multiple times in the Bible and Martin was right about being saved by grace through faith and about the baptism it does say households and yes that would include children but not infants as they couldn’t ask for forgiveness. Also, no you’re wrong, the people couldn’t read the Bible and the church were the only ones that could also you failed to acknowledge the claim of saying that one could pay for salvation? And the Catholic Church was very very corrupt so I suggest you do some research of your own and stop using ChatGPT.

@ also, what about the fact that Catholics pray to people other then Jesus and I know they aren’t praying TO THEM but rather asking them to take their prayers to Jesus but this is till wrong as it says in the Bible that u should pray only to the father son and Holy Ghost

**Do Catholics Pray to Saints Instead of God?**
Catholics do not worship saints or pray to them as if they were God. Instead, Catholics ask saints to intercede for them, just as one might ask a friend to pray on their behalf.
      1. **Intercession Is Biblical**
      - The Bible encourages intercessory prayer. Paul asked others to pray for him (Romans 15:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:25).
      - Saints in Heaven are alive in Christ and aware of earthly events (Hebrews 12:1, Revelation 6:9-10).
      - The “prayers of the saints” are presented before God (Revelation 5:8, Revelation 8:3-4).
      2. **One Mediator-Does That Mean No Intercession?**
      - 1 Timothy 2:5 states that Jesus is the one mediator between God and man, which is true. But this does not exclude secondary intercessors.
      - In the same chapter, Paul tells believers to intercede for others (1 Timothy 2:1-3).
      - If asking a fellow Christian to pray for you is not wrong, then asking a saint in Heaven to pray for you is also not wrong.
      3. **Praying to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit**
      - Catholics do pray to God directly, addressing the Father (Matthew 6:9), the Son (John 14:13-14), and the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:26).
      - Asking saints for intercession does not replace direct prayer to God; it simply follows the biblical principle of seeking prayer support from others (James 5:16).
      ### **Conclusion**
Intercessory prayer is a biblical concept, and asking saints to pray for us is no different from asking fellow believers to pray for us. The saints are with Christ in Heaven and continue to intercede before God on our behalf, just as we do for one another here on Earth.
      I hope you understand 🙏🏻
