Part 17 of my documentary, "Mucky Secrets", about the fascinating marine life of the Lembeh Strait in Indonesia. After a brief look at the amazing flame scallop (or "electric clam"), we study some of the sea snails (gastropods) found in the Lembeh Strait. #seasnail #gastropod #LembehStrait #marinebiology
Great video, Nick. I had a Fighting Conch for about 4 years. When I first introduced him into the aquarium, my Flametail Blenny went down and bit his eyeballs off, the little twerp. The Conch is now gone and the blenny remains. I am a little shy of putting another one in the tank.
Bubble Vision That started at the beginning, shortly after I put him in the tank. That conch was a real war horse. I was rearranging some live rock in the tank and somehow he got trapped in the rocks. I couldn't find him and figured he died in the back of the aquarium. I lost one of my corals between some rocks and moved them to get the coral. The conch was there, trapped by the rocks, and I figured he was dead, so I put him on the sand. In a couple of minutes, he started moving across the tank, to my surprise. I am getting a new tank which will offer a larger substrate plain for one to move around on, if I decide to get another, but I worry about that blenny.
fascinating to see them from so close in such a good quality with captions all the details. I discover new things thanks to you in an unfamiliar world to me. Thanks a lot
The narration, the names of the dive sites, and the common and scientific names of the marine life are available in subtitles by clicking the button under the bottom right of the video.
Well, if that ain’t a BIG letdown. All these years I have been thinking that the flame scallop was surging with electricity to illuminate its’ delicate orange lips to find out that it is simply reflected light. Thanks a LOT! DAMN It Man!

Earl Harman Nasty blenny. Did that happen at the start or end of the 4 years?

I found a sea snail on a huge rock in Cuba. There were thousands of them. I named him Hugo. It had a green rougher shell.
I sure am enjoying all of your videos. I find them soo fascinating. Thank you.

Once again, excellent!!
That conch at 1:34 has THE most frightening eyes of any sea animal (besides the chambered nautilus) that I have ever seen. I can’t even look at them!
Just superb again. Awesome pin sharp capture!!
Восхитительно! ПРОСТО КЛАСС!
