this is not what console goes through, this is what switch players go through. the switch is MUCH worse than consoles
that may be true, but I have been playing overwatch on switch since it got there since oct. 2019 and it is so much better now

I played console my entire life up to january of 2020 when i built my pc. Playing overwatch from 2016-2019 I was always like "how can people even lay on pc it dosent make any sense to me" and stuff like that. I was so wrong, pc is so much better. I go back to console a year later to play with an old friend but I immideately get off because of how much it hurt my fingers lmao

I was stuck playing overwatch on switch when I moved out of the country for 3 years and couldn't bring my PC setup. I played a lot of splatoon 2 and actually got quite good with the motion controls. Top 500 on switch is literally just diamond XD
Ana on console is very playable with a bit of practise (I play on PS4). She has aim assist for allies and I believe her projectiles are easier to hit in general (specifically for console Ana). Sleep dart is still relatively difficult to land but you can manage. You just have to tweak her settings a lot for them to feel just right so she probably requires a lot more time investment for settings and games compared to pc
if you don't mind me asking, what settings do you use for her? i'm also on ps4 and having trouble learning her partly because the aim just feels off :/
@Abidabean Start tweaking your allied aim assist and scoped aim speed until you feel comfortable. Some people like 100% allied AS while I like 30%. I also increase scoped aim speed to help hit allies even if my enemy hit accuracy is a bit less.
I think people over exaggerate. I play on Switch, it may not run at 60fpa and have all the shadows but it still plays well. People who don't use gyro all think you use it as a "wheel" like you are playing Mario Kart Wii but you don't, it's like having a third stick for minor adjustment and you can also re assign buttons.
I play mainly on Switch actually, I have a placement game with Rein where I had over 35k damage mitigated almost on the 40k side. It's honestly not that bad if it's all you're used to. Much too poor for a PC at the moment 😂
This is just amazing as someone that has been playing on the switch myself with friends on pc watching you experience what I do just fills me with unbelievable joy

I played the entirety of my time in ow1 on the switch and it’s a huge learning curve especially with the gyro. I built my first pc right before ow2 release and my first games were kind of like this 😂 great video!

I actually downloaded overwatch 2 on my ps5 just to try it out. Let's just say I didn't make it out the practice range. AA and the sense on controller just felt weird. Also the controls too.
i really wish they made the motion controls decent on the switch port but theyre just awful
i tried playing once on switch to see how the motion controls were (since i have loads of experience with them from splatoon) and it handles terribly in ow. i dont know if its because of first person or if its just awfully done by the devs

I bought a gaming keyboard just for this game I came from console and upgraded to pc but the transition from controller to mnk is taking me awhile mostly because most games I can still play with controller like destiny 2 but when I play on controller on my pc for overwatch I get destroyed when I use mnk it's better but I get frustrated because I hit the wrong button a lot and I feel like my movement isn't quite there yet but way better than controller
Get a gaming mouse with buttons on it... Also assuming you have a decent amount of space turn your sensitivity waaaaaaayyyyyy down

I like it better without aim assist. Always hated when I try tracking a mercy just for the crosshairs to slow over some random dps and she gets away

You took more pain from playing on console by choosing the Nintendo Switch as the console you'd play on, I play on PlayStation and are a Plat Player and main Ashe, It mainly depends on how used to the controller you are, where buttons are, etc.
OW2 plays at 30fps on Switch I believe, whereas it's 60fps on the other consoles.
It definitely performs better on PS4/5. Oh, and try playing on Switch in handheld mode. It's painful!

Fair play Emongg, thanks for giving it a go. You get aim assist on console v console but when in a PC lobby aim assist is turned off for all console players. This has made cross play with PC unplayable.
It would be great to see you do a video comparing a console only lobby vs a console + PC lobby. Especially with hitscan characters the difference is a joke. Blizz either need to let console players use keyboard and mouse or give console aim assist vs. PC.
False. This was changed months ago as now get Aim assist in PC lobbies. If you think it's unplayable without Aim assist though you need to work on your aim/dexterity

just so you know, if you are playing cross platform you actually lose aim assist, so you are aiming normally on a switch rn
As you might have realized when in a crossplay lobby, aim assist is turned off completely. But I guarantee you it wouldn't have helped too much if you are not used to a controller in the first place. Absolute pain xD
They recently changed it so that aim assist is enabled in cross play quick play (not competitive though).

Console isn't terrible, playing on Switch is. It's like a potato with joysticks. I play PS4 and XBox and keep up with my friends who are all PC. and frame rate/quality is just fine. Plus I work at a movie theatre so I can play on the big screen. Nothing better than the sound of Widows gun on Dolby Surround Sound and a 30 foot screen lol
PS4 player here, it's still horrible. Frequent frame drops especially when there's a lot going on. Bear in mind they're moving from high end PC setups where they get well above 60fps so even going to something like a ps4 where 60 is merely the highest framerate it hits but it can't sustain it will likely feel worse for them than you. Also why would you want to play on a large screen? That requires so much head movement (there's a reason many pro fps players play on like 24-32 inch monitors)
