I didn't actually like anyone new, there is no gender bias. The viewers actually measure everyone on their skill. We all love Kaneez, Urooj, Sumukhi , Richa, Aditi Mittal and many more ❤. Also, there's no need to specifically find female comedians, you just need to remove the bias from already existing barriers.

A comic should be called as a comic only not a female comic or a male comic.

This was insanely unfunny. Not being sexist at all. But GOD Was I bored. It's crazy because I am a huge stand up fan and I hated the cringy version portrayed on TV. when this was coming out I was like chalo finally some edgy content on a larger media. But No. This was honestly horrible.

But do you understand that none of them are actual stand up comedians......all of them are fairly new to this so obviously this is the starting point from where it gets better with more experience!
Absolutely! The content was so downright basic. It's like people have started thinking that stand up is a piece of cake. Crack the same mundane 'story of my life' jokes, add some hint of feminism, be loud with unnecessary energy and you ll grab some laughs! Sorry, its not!
The judges are also BSing. Their comments done match their scores!
Just 3-4 of the contestants were bearable. Hope they improve going forward.
N2O If the audience was more into the jokes, everyone's performances would appear better. Everyone had great content. I think it's important to remember they're contestants in a show, not career comedians with experience

Ladies, first of all huge respect and applause for you all. Now (JUST ACCORDING TO ME) I felt Urooj was the funniest with a complete set (in this part). The others did try hard but may be with the upcoming episodes they will (I am sure) will surprise us. For now all the best ladies and thank you TLC for coming up with this platform. You all rock!!!

They all know and work with each other. It's a world war of interests.
I think there was some partiality for Urooz probably because they work together. Kaneez seemed to laugh on Urooj's jokes that weren't really that funny, IMO.
She has been a part of many AIB sketches too.

All of our contestants were shortlisted by viewers based on their entries. The final eight were tastefully picked out by our jury based on their comic proficiency, and you can be assured there was no bias involved.

Urooj was the only one who made me smile once or twice. Except for her, i found everything so awkward. From the performances to the audience and the judges faking laughter. AWKWARD.

Urooj was obviously the best of the lot. Having worked with and being close to AIB and Kaneez must have helped. It shows.
I don't mind Urooj being a contestant. Raju Srivsatava wasn't a nobody either when he participated in Laughter Challenge. But why is she a contestant when Rohan and Kaneez are in the judges panel.
The first one was so embarrassing I could not watch it with the amount of second hand embarrassment I was getting. I have no idea how she got such good comments and ratings especially compared to the second one. The second one was underrated af

Iphone Itunes yes Bharti singh is a great example of what a women can do in stand up comedy we could see through her laughter challenge performances, but to tell the truth most of the times her jokes are on how fat she is.
Urooj, spot on. Your jokes were so high on sarcasm that many people probably will find it offensive, but you were incredible.
that moment when urooj was talking about gandhi(ji) and the judges were like in the camera shouldn't catch us laughing mode, even though the jokes were too funny.

Aayush Dubey I have seen open mic..and I know 7/10 comedians bomb on stage and it's cool..but this wasn't an open mic.It's a competition..and if this is the crap you can come out after 1 year of tune up..it's disappointing..That one girl with the piano was trying so hard to be Bo Burnham..its hurts to watch her..

Urooj has most things going for her.As Kaneez said, incredibly strong writing,comic timing spot on,looks completely at home on stage and content which had one funny surprise after another.
Early days I know, but would be surprised if she didn't win the show.
Definitely the next big female comic to watch out for.

The show is fantastic , kuddos to every participant for their efforts, it's easy to sit behind the screens and mock others and talk absolutely no sense, but it takes a lot of toiling to make people laugh and i think it's the perfect start.
There are a lot of male comics but only a few of them are genuinely funny but i haven't seen such a huge amount of criticism there(which is fine) , so why here?
if given equal chances and enthusiasm , these girls(and more) will shine :)

God , have just watched up until the first half of the first contestant's performance and have finally realised why Sidhu "paaji" and Archana Pooran Singh's jobs are an absolute necessity - -- this show is making me cringge hardddd.
One of the best things was at 15.32 when the girl from Kashmir said her parents assume she is dead and camera rolls onto a Muslim guy laughing.

Ok honestly I really only liked Dwijal's set. She was quite comfortable on the stage and she actually had pretty good punch lines. I realy look forward to seeing more of her.

Sir I think there is nothing wrong with us if we laugh at a really funny joke,it can be a joke from whatsapp or joke made on boobs & vagina but it should be funny.
Like fake smile there exists fake laugh too which is often used by psuedo intellectuals in there defence to prove that they are way ahead of there time and they understand tha joke better even if it is not funny.

There are many comedians like sorabh pant,Atul khatri & Sahil who use cuss words in their jokes instead of making the cuss word a joke.
And there are many more english comedians like kenny, abish,Arvind SA to name few who can make you laugh without using cuss words.
So it's a high time to think about what you are laughing at - a joke or boobs & vagina
Rajat Raj Yaduvanshi... I agree, sorabh path uses cuss words majorly and is not a profound joke teller...
But somebody like abhishek upmanyu or a zakir khan use cuss words in their jokes to make that joke strong...
So, it's high time we stop laughing at jokes on boobs or penises unless it's a very good joke
