If I had the capital, I'd buy the rights to this game, completely update the graphics, physics, models and characters, reintroduce the game as a free to play, and I'd BAN THE FUCK OUT OF THE MULTI BOXXERS!
For PvP, yes. But not for PvP. Before the BG missions where you can get a level 50 in 6 hours, you had to grind or quest for it. In Shrouded Isles is where they introduced the Necro. A full servant spec lined necro could chain reds and oj's to level 50 in 3 days play time, and you could power level a stealther class character to level 50 in an average of two weeks. During the time when you could first /level new toons on any server providing you had a lvl 50 character on your account, level 50 accounts sold like hotcakes on ebay. I had a buddy who did just that, and made an easy $200 per account, selling a fully unspec'd, rich ass stealther class lvl 50 character with two weeks left on its free trial month. Those were great times.
Bard is to deep in most of these fights and not disrupting the healers and casters. Still good fights and good wins! Everytime he goes down the entire group goes down.
Ppl call me crazy when I see that OF were better. NF are designed for a server that has 3k players constantly. I loved the hide behind the trees or inside it while still having los and using high grounds.

Jamais vu Laruku jouer chez nous. Spn oui vu qu'il était pote avec Ayako, et c'est tout ? No skill était pas si fort honnêtement, un peu rageux, pas de teamplay poussé. Enfin à cette époque, n'importe quel premade roulait sur les noobs. Toutes les teams avaient des mauvais joueurs dans leur groupe, vu qu'on était pote avant d'être une team, même les levia ou no release (bien plus fort que tous les autres)

M8y I have forgot more than you will ever know about DAOC! When a game starts employing ex-players has learner developers it is only natural for them to be biased towards the realm they once played. You only have to look at the state of the scout class and the hate campaign they have endured over recent years while giving other archery class's love to see where the bias is. That why peeps get pissed and wont pay $18 a month to be abused, FACT. The game isn't in serious decline because you have happy people you know lol.
Daoc has some of the most overrated PvP of any game ever. This coming from a guy that has played since 2002. At the end of the day 90% of fights come down to who lands the first aoe without pegging a SoS or charge. Or stalling for 60 seconds after a purge and landing one. Thats the ENTIRE game.
thats pretty much bullshit. Loose a mez and countermez and you win. its basically a 60-70% TOPS win ratio if you win mez. at high rr mez doesnt even matter tbh. did you even play this game in its prime..
Played from 2002-2003 2005-2011 2014-2015 and now play on the Uthgard freeshard due to the horrible state of live rvr. I have experience with a couple dozen rr5-rr9l3. 8v8 solo and smallman gameplay... and well as my fair share of zerg surfing. I have enough experience with the game to be an adequate judge of it's state. Terrible PvE content. That's not even up for debate. It has fair PvP that generally boils down to group comp (only 1-2 setups are viable at the bleeding edge for each realm), and who has the most timers up/the faster CC'er in your group. Most fights outcomes are determined in the first 8-10 seconds of any encounter. Therefore yes it's a decent game. Is it the end all be all that most of it's fan base thing it is? Not even close. Many games have came since doac's hayday ended that simply put blow it out of the water. WoW has a MUCH higher skillcap in rated BG's/Arena. Games like DotA and LoL as well as any competitive shooter are far far more skill based. Not to mention games like Guild Wars in it's heyday literally required the reflexes to interrupt .5 second casts with a .25 second spell. As an aging gamer I still find DAoC to be fun, but that has more to do with my own reflexes slowing down than the game being skill based. Generally speaking as long as one or two people in any given group are quick with mez/root/disease then you are good to go. The rest are just there to spam an assist key and spam the nearest heal key. 3/4 fights come down to first AoE Mez or waiting on CC immunity cycles. DAoC has silly CC durations, unresponsive movement, lag, and rampant cheat engine usage that enables all sorts of nasty hacks. I stuck with the game for so long due to those once or twice a day fun fights that DO happen... but most of the time the games a timer dump.
Sorry i do not confirm ur statement. DAoC is very skill-based with so many balanced classes. WoW-PvP is cheap bshit compared to DAoC. If you have always lost your fights after u lost the First-Mezz you may have played with unskilled people or do not have enough skill urself. Fights can take sooo long and can have so many "game-changing" moments.

I have total knowledge of the competition in any daoc server on any given time from 2003 to 2012). Yours are statements only bad players always gave at the time. They did an excellent job with class balance, with a few exceptions. 32 different classes, you try it and see how you do.

Some people forget it was Patch 1.68 with 25% Castspeed. Many players in RVR dont have any Toa Skins!
