If anyone is earning 20 lakh per year, after all deduction minimum we will pay 4 lakhs direct taxes (Almost three months salary) so remaining is 16 Lakh, so if we spend this 16 lakh for this at least we will pay 10% Indirect taxes (Average of all the taxes) i.e. 160000, if we spend 60,000 for petrol in year it means we paid 30000 as taxes here (If petrol price is 50 we pay 100 Rs including all taxes like state, central, exercise etc.) In case if you save money and if u purchase a car you have to pay minimum 1,50,000 as road tax, so in this case even if you earn 20 lakhs per year at the end we barrow money banks to fulfill our needs and we pay Interest on that. I know many of the taxes are overlapping here and may not 100% accurate but just an example how much we are paying as taxes, let’s assume 20 lakh salary remains same for next 25 years (Just for an example) on an average he is paying 5 to 6 lakhs as taxes in year (Direct and Indirect taxes) so for 25 years of service he will pay Rs 1,50,00,000 as taxes (6lkh*25), if we consider the 10% increase in the salary for next 25 years?

I left India for few reasons mentioned below. 1. Life security from politicians and society. 2. Work Life Balance 3. We need to understand that Statistical data on poverty and unemployment does not reflect actual numbers in India as many under report their incomes (or) do not report. 2. The number of taxpayers is far too less in India compared to other countries. This revenue loss to the Govt makes it incapable to provide the necessities and infrastructure in a way comparable to western standards. 3. In other developed countries the percentage of tax payees are very high compared to India and the freebie systems has crippled the system in addition to huge population. 4. The rise in NRIs is due to global projects acquired by our Indian companies and so it quite a good contributing factor to Indian economy. 5. As for the number of citizens leaving Indian citizenship, most of them have left India 20 years ago and since the last few years they were getting citizenship in other countries. 6. With population of 145 cr , the number of 16 lakh is negligible. My experience of living overseas for more than 2 decades, says that the real talent has not left India.

2. Work Life Balance
3. Taxation benefits (Tax deductions same as NZ, US, CANADA etc, but we don't get any benefits in INDIA, but in other countries you will have a lot of benefits Medical treatment free, Medicines free, Schooling free, Roads are amazing, infra super).

1. We need to understand that Statistical data on poverty and unemployment does not reflect actual numbers in India as many under report their incomes (or) do not report.
2. The number of taxpayers is far too less in India compared to other countries. This revenue loss to the Govt makes it incapable to provide the necessities and infrastructure in a way comparable to western standards.
3. In other developed countries the percentage of tax payees are very high compared to India and the freebie systems has crippled the system in addition to huge population.
4. The rise in NRIs is due to global projects acquired by our Indian companies and so it quite a good contributing factor to Indian economy.
5. As for the number of citizens leaving Indian citizenship, most of them have left India 20 years ago and since the last few years they were getting citizenship in other countries.
6. With population of 145 cr , the number of 16 lakh is negligible. My experience of living overseas for more than 2 decades, says that the real talent has not left India.
