I have the white blocks down and cured. Ready to pour the alcohol inks. Does the resin have to be a certain temp? And do i wait a while before i do the swirling?
@@LETSRESIN have you got a response from your team about the amount of resin it took to make this set? I have the exact same one and would also like to know how much resin each piece takes to make as well as how much resin is in the board as well…
Have you ever gotten a response from Let's Resin about the amount of resin is needed to complete this chess set? Have you made one yet? I have the same mold for the chess/checker board and the chess pieces as well… would love to know how much they used for each piece myself! I hate hate hate mixing too little resin and then having to make more… getting the exact same color each time can be difficult… it’s not so bad if I make too much since I can just pop that into another mold of some sorts…
Idk about anyone else but when I poured my chess pieces, it took a few tries to get them right. It's important to burp them to get all the air out. I'm almost finished with the set.
I’m completely brand new to this and was gonna by a chess set to make but this video doesn’t even give you proper instruction on how to use the mica powder which you’ve been out of since last month and none of the alcohol bottles come with your kit your selling , so this isn’t even proper instructions on how to use your kit or advertising 😢
The chess board mold ist not for total beginners. You should look for something more simple and practice. If one has some experience, the video ist very easy to understand and a great instruction.
I don't think this is a totally 100% beginner tutorial. It requires the basic level of understanding in resin, this is more showing how she layers up and mixes the colours rather than a step by step detailed
The white squares are mica powder, you leave it 24 hours to cure (I do anyway) then you do a clear layer, approx 400ml, then use alcohol ink in the rainbow colours. Then add the white alcohol ink over the top, leave for 5 minutes and repeat the rainbow colours, then another layer of the white alcohol ink. Leave it for about 30 minutes and then do the swirls with a wooden Lollipop stick. I leave mine then for 48 hours to cure before demoulding. The alcohol ink makes the cure time longer. When you demould, do it face down, and gently pull the mould off, so you don't bend the chess board. Make sure.ypur work surface is 100% level. I hope that helps
That board was alcohol ink. Chess sets are a little more than for total beginners unfortunately 😕 I would watch some RUclips tutorials on beginners resin basics to help you get started. 😀
@LET'S RESIN The board being removed from the mold in this video was very flexible. Why? Isn't resin supposed to be rigid? I've seen a few reviews about Let's Resin resin being oddly flexible after curing.
@@sandersonevoria2975 I haven’t used let’s resin, but my partner does chessboards and she says since it’s so large, it takes a few weeks for it to fully fully cure and get solid. Right out the mold it’s a lil flimsy and it would need more time. After it’s fully done it’s really nice and solid. Hopefully that explains it
Normally you can de-mould it after a day but it's 3 to 4 before it's fully solid. Sometimes easier to take it out the mould when it has a bit more bend, stops thing snapping

These are the cutest I’ve seen by far 🙌🏾🥰
Thanks love, that's so sweet!
Just got my mold from you and I can't wait to make this set.
Can't wait to see your wonderful works :)
Omg I love the colors of this chess board, it's so beautiful!
Thank you so much!
@@LETSRESIN You're very welcome!
Omg 😆 I can’t wait to do mine ❤️❤️❤️ this design was amazing
Glad to hear thatThanks!
Fascinating , where I can buy this rubber mold for pieces??? Please let me know?
Thank you! The links were listed in the description.😊
How much resin does it take to make a chess set?
How much ? Did you learn ?
Can this white ink be used for this project? I’m not sure what your white ink is.
Marabu Alcohol Ink - Pearl
Here's the link:www.amazon.com/dp/B07V8SCY49
When you put the white on it is the white just regular alcohol ink with no resin Mixtown. Or is it paste with resin mixed in?
The white is just white sinker in the alcohol ink set. 😊
How do you stand your pieces upside down to harden?
Wow that looks so cool! ♟️
🥰Thx
That looks great!
Thanks😃
How much resin?
How did you clean up your white box pieces after poring the resin. Before you pored the clear
If you actually let it settled until nearly cured, it can be easier to clean and remove because harden resin doesn’t stick to the mold
Thanks so much for helping answer the question!! 👍❤️
Are you still selling the resin mold I see that it’s unavailable on your Amazon site
Is there anyway to tell me the total resin that you use for each section thank you
We will check with our team and let you know later:)

Hi could I ask how much resin in ml please hope to hear from you
Hi this whole kit needs around 28oz(828ml) resin. 😊

Is there only 1 board mold size?
Yes this kit is only include one board mold. 😊
how do you prevent the resin from sticking to the mold? I've ruined it!!!
There's Mold Release and Conditioner that you can put on before you pour to help make it easier to remove 😊
