A histogram chart is good at showing how your data is distributed. A histogram groups values into what are called bins. This chart type is new in Excel 2016

It used to be possible to customize the bin width so you could have uneven intervals. Next to the data series you could write down intervals like [0,3 Now it seems, from how you have explained, and also based on my own tinkering, that you are now restricted to evenly sized bin widths? So you can play with the bin width or the number of bins but you cannot have bins like [0,3], [3.1,5], [5.1,10]?

1:36, I don't have that icon, next to my scatter is area charts. In fact I have only 8 icons, missing the histogram/statistical data picture to click on. =(
