I like it. bf has almost no recoil or spread. Making it harder to kill people is a good change in my opinion. Liked how it was pre patch in bf1.
It's getting really hard to support BF5 like this. Community says leave it like it is, DICE says F U we're changing it anyway.
I've had a lot of respect for their response to community input in the past. I'm going to give the the benefit of the doubt for now and hope this all works out in the long run
I prefer 9 bullets to kill on SMGs, feels just great.

Breakthrough in BF5 has kind of replaced Conquest for me just like Rush replaced it in BC2. Great mode, ton of fun.
Haven't tried it as a standalone mode yet, only in the Operations. Will give it a try now though and see :)
it's the best mode in my opinion with conquest but it's also always sniper hell which is really annoying

It's great fun, the only map I think it's worse than conquest is the mountain map. The chokepoints just get over crowded.
Seth Thompson it is awesome. Deffo best mode. I think Rotterdam is the worst map for it though. That second section is difficult with not enough flanking options.

@cread 61o Except it should be other way around. The new TTK should be on a seperate test server. As you can propably see, the route they took ended up dividing the playerbase and alienating it's core fans.

@cread 61o Yea I know. However, that is only Conquest sadly, and the fact where they said no changes are coming but then say based on our feedback they are changing the TTK is kinda dumb. I have maybe seen like 5 out of 100 people want the change in TTK and DICE literally said the "majority" which is irritating because that's not true :(

Patrick Adams this is exactly why I disliked bf1. I thought bfV might be different but it appears to be more of the same. Probably gonna abandon battlefield as a franchise if they don’t change it back
They reduced damage by 15% guys. . . .it takes one more bullet to kill someone. They couldn't have changed it any less and actually change it. I get why people don't like it, but this is not some massive change. It is a mild tweak.
Seth Thompson one more bullet on an slr or an smg that already took 6 shots to kill outside of 30 meters is significant. This update has ruined medic and really hurt assault which are pretty much the only classes I play

Medic weapons should have been left alone. This change will do nothing to address the issues of the class.
Nooo the medic weapons would have become way overpowered in close range if they remained and all others got nerfed. The issue with the medic is the medium range not short range.
I don’t know why people want smgs to do well in medium range. They are not supposed to compete with assault rifles or slrs. Imagine the automatico competing with the Federov at mid range. But I think they should just give medics the rifles back. It made more people play medic.

@@blunted333 Because they are the same thing. If TTK is 3 bullets, then TTD is also 3 bullets, simple as that. The issues come from the netcode. I have never even heard anyone talk about TTD, it is some retarded thing BFV players came up with.

@@heretichound6931 yeah, but there were plenty of moments when he was running around in open areas and was still safe. A lot of players tend to wanna only save up for the V1 rocket and not spend on anything else. Thing is, the rocket isn't always necessary. In certain situations, it's better to just summon a couple supply drops and some bonus tanks in key spots.
If all of you want to have a more polished and fun game go back and play bf4 that came out many years ago... they’re taking steps back in my opinion with net code and all the rest
There was that one guy who took 3 headshots and a body shot to kill him at 4:44. That's just ridiculous.
It has been that way since the start. New TTK didn't change headshot damage :)

Matt I WBA Well this update is perfect for a raging pile of trash player such as yourself. 1 frame deaths are an issue that have nothing to do with the ttk. The real issue is the ttd which dice refuses to address because it involves actual compliance....You are just a shit player who refused to adapt to the game with the previous ttk. You probably never considered your positioning and just ran out in the open gungho like a dumbass or never considered good flanking routes or just had pretty shit aim in general. Players like you are what make games that have a good thing going for them worse. No one wants a game where enemies feel like bullet sponges, because of the new ttk, tactical gameplay such as utilizing cover proficiently, stationed while prone, flanking and preservation of your ammo amongst other things are flawed. And the flow of combat is also worse because it takes too damn much to down an enemy before you’re shot in your back by someone else.
I bought the game because of the TTK, and loved it before the patch...

I really hate the way this game plays now. I’m really losing faith in dice. The ttk was amazing before this update.
I just wanted 2 things after 2 years of playing Battlefield 1: SHORTER TTK and REMOVE THAT F****ing 3D spotting system. And I was really happy with Battlefield V. I liked the new TTK, (actually I did not have any problem with ttd). And a few weeks after the official launch, Dice started to ruin the TTK... This is ridiculous. TTK in Battlefield V was the best it's been in years, why Dice why did you changed it? If they don't give back the shorter and much better TTK, I won't play too much with this game and next time I'll think twice about buying a Battlefield game.

TTK and TTD are closely related but there is an actual bug with TTD so you don't even realise you're getting shot until maybe the last 2 bullets when you may have been shot 6 times. And if THEY can't seem to fix it then who can?!! Its worrying eh.

I almost exclusively play breakthrough. Its the best for consistent gameplay where people dont surprise you from behind out of nowhere.
Like Rush was, and with the sound as it is it's the only mode playable. Grand operations vibrations don't work so that's out.
Breakthrough is the most realistic game mode too, especially with the strategic retreat.
Same here. I think Conquest could be fine if there were Conquest specific maps. Unti then it's Breakthrough for me.

Are they hiding the fact that they can’t fix the bug with the 1 frame death? Bullet damage was spot on ! How about buffing grenades ? How about putting in the AT rocket from BF1 ? Hand guns are really really poor too . Great game when it works but it seems like dice are scratching their arses 😂🇬🇧

I think they made the ttk longer to try and cover the issues players are having with ttd, but it’s just making the problem more noticeable. Now you notice more than ever that your not always getting notification of the damage you’re receiving.
Can't wait for a hardcore mode. The TTK is ridiculous.

How do people feel about the "dot sights" in this game drop your magnification to 1x. Its either 1.25 or 1.5 with irons. Why would the dot sight drop your mags, I really wish it remained slightly zoomed. Makes me wanna use the irons instead if they arent terrible.
The reason why new players leave is because they think they can sit on the side or a hill or on top of a bridge and snipe, they haven't got a clue about playing the objective or moving after they take a shot.. they loose every game and are bottom of the scoreboard because they haven't contributed to capturing, they have 0 kills to 30 deaths because they go to the same sniping spot every single game and that just about sums up why battlefield is so frustrating.. too many kids haven't got a clue what they are doing and how to build a score by resupplying, spotting, repairing etc. Better tutorials on how to play game modes and contributing is what's needed.. this Is why I can't play this game anymore, the fucking frustration of people not playing objectives makes me kick the shit out of my cat every single game (no cats were harmed in this comment) this is what needs addressing it's as simple as that.
I don’t think he knows that you can heal yourself as much as you want as the medic.
"WHAHOOOO" (Jack Frags) that rocket destruction on the pesky plane was so satisfying. Stellar shot and timing.
Should be able to walk up to a support or medic and take ammo or meds without them having to do anything.
NetCode and stacked damage isn't great. But this was an awful decision to change the TTK, I am very disappointed.
I love frontlines but feel the mcom stations make the end too easy once last flag captured. Changed it back to explosives minus the auto spotting of bomb carrier.
I thought that's what they were going to do, but nope - _everyone_ is carrying a bomb, now. In part, it makes sense, because there _were_ a couple of bugs with the bombs, themselves (both of these happened in a single match, for my team): 1. The bombs could disappear once their respawn timer hit zero, and 2. the bombs could get stuck under the ground and be rendered unobtainable. In the game I experienced this, #1 happened to one bomb, and #2 happened to the other, and the remainder of the round turned into an overtly long TDM, in which I ended up with 64 or so kills.
At 58:16 That's another very annoying thing that happens to me all the time. I can't shoot an enemy because apparently I'm shooting a rock instead... So frustrating. Especially when you're using an MMG with bipod.

come on 4 bullets to kill for 10 round slow firing rifles is a little too many! same as not being able to kill in 4 bullets up close with fully auto weapons! that buffs shotguns and bolt action snipers indirectly yet

I was super worried about this change as I really couldn’t give less of a fuck about dying in game if I tried, and I really liked the TTK. Fortunately, to me at least, the difference is negligible if even there at all. I’ve only played 2 rounds tonight but it honestly felt exactly the same!
Also lol at all the people who were complaining about “TTD” being too fast and are now complaining that TTK is too slow... Wtf? Like that’s literally the only way to change it xD
The main problem I have is the lack of spotting in the game just haven't got a clue where the enemy is.

I remember two or three times I was low on health and when i tried to use my medpack it wouldn't let me. It would just show me the animation of medpack in my hand without even giving me health.
I think we’re stuck with this until at least after Christmas. Can’t see them changing it straight back.

So instead of the packet issue causing perceived insta deaths... they increased the ttk... leaving the tic rate issue. Well done dice.. I played as a medic today, and didn't notice there was a update UNTIL I played as medic. Awful. They keep this ttk, I'm sadly moving on
They should create a server that has all the hot fixes and then Implement them into the game if it becomes a positive feedback somewhat like CTE

Oh my im getting killed too fast, these bullets are too effective. Better nerf it, stop appealing to the whining babies that don't know how to use tactics in order to survive longer. So sick of every shooter changing shit all the time. Really doesn't matter though, this only affects like half the fan base or less considering people don't want anything to do with this garbage. I know I didn't and won't. It's sad because the BF franchise was my favourite multiplayer shooter now I will never support them ever again.

What I do not understand is if it takes another bullet to kill a casual player, a casual player will also have to land another bullet. The more experienced and accurate player will still win a gun fight. They will still get killed and be pissed. I am not that good and would much rather kill the better player with less bullets.
With the rocket launcher(sorry, i dont remember the name) Jump and then still jumping try to fire, you will see magic 😢

I honestly thought the the TTD was a lot better after the BIG update on the 4th, then I played last night.......oh! boy...! So not enough bullets, everyone is playing as a sniper as they were not effected and when you play as any other class, the enemies are bullet sponges. Oh! and the TTD is the same as it was before. Dice.......nailed it...!

Graphically, sound engine, player movement, animations this game is excellent. Already can’t wait for BF 6 modern day. But until then, I’ll catch this on sale.
They should balance the SMGs by increasing the whole accuracy (but not changing the laughable bullet drop).

Anyone notice at 28:08 he headshot kills an enemy and then hits another enemy on the body but it gives the headshot sound feedback? I get that bug all the time too. It's annoying.
Man 3 months ago I was not looking forward to this game, but I know I am getting this game for christmas and am just getting more and more excited because this game looks like a ton of fun

Same with previous BF titles - the majority of feedback I've read/heard/agree with, is for devs to fix errors like getting your trousers snagged on a shrub or a nail when vaulting, and netcode etc. But what we're getting is the nerf & buff train ride.. again. Why take away things like rocket vs plane? And I agree TTD needed fixing, not TTK.
Attrition was working as intended. They’re changing it because of casual players? Ttk was fine. They said it was supposed to cater to a more hardcore audience, so why change it for the opposite audience they intended? Now its back to splitting the player base with the two modes.
TTK might actually help on the unbalancing for assults. they are OP AS FUCK!
I know some people hate scout players for ptfo reasons but a 55 damage chest shot is ridiculous
I'm probably alone in this, but I liked the TTK. I play defensively, and loved killing all the fools running from one objective to another without using cover.
Flanking with the Mg42 was so much fun with the original ttk. Now it's meh.

Hey Jack About the intercepting the V1 you can crash into it from what ive seen and prevent it from hitting the ground.
All they needed to do was make semi auto assault weapons do slightly less damage and have closer fall off damage, and nerf that fucking KE-7.
So basically snipers get more of an advantage..Nothing like emptying a full clip in an enemy to get the kill..of course while a sniper stands right infront eating bullets..unless you get a head shot.
Mp40 feels completly different :( after patch nothing like it was before ill hope they change it back this game generally feels much worse after the update.
has someone actually objectively broken down the amount of bullets to kill/range differences? id like to know the hard stats
