  • A couple of minutes of me showing how to work some DX in the ARRL International DX Contest - the CW contest, of course! :-)
A couple things to note - I am using N1MM, but I am really doing it manually with the Begali paddle.
Second - there is a point where you see the pre-fil spot feature of N1MM, and the importance of CHECKING TO MAKE SURE IT IS ACCURATE!. This is a common problem. I'm working on another video to show how so many people rely too much on the packet cluster.
I'm planning on making something more detailed for you folks.
I mentioned "Cut numbers" - Here is a video on that:

Definitely one of my favorite contests. Bands were in great shape both mornings

Way to fast for me :) I'll keep practicing and hopefully next year I can pick up some new band/DX. Regardless, thanks for sharing this video TJ and all the others - informative & encouraging! 73s

Another weekend ruined for CW users with total disregard for band plans. Where are all these 1000's of cw operators in the week when we would like a contact, maybe on FT8. The contest should be about encouraging people to use CW, not high speed users sending nonsense signal reports.
