- A fine spring Sierra ski tour in the Eastern Sierra's Armstrong Canyon region. Mount Perkins and Colleseum Peak are the main attractions here, as well as one of the Southern Sierra's easiest approaches--if your car can make it.
Amazing. What a day! Great content.
Wow🤩Andy's content is like a top-notch film production amazing film quality inspiring music and of course another breathtaking Sierra Nevada location !
thank you -- it's definitely made with love!
That south facing chute at 10:58 looks great. Is that the one you mentioned?
Looks like a super fun ski out. Nice tunes too!
I was actually looking at *another* line off Perkins' south ridge, but the whole area is packed with tempting options. Just going to have to get a jeep :)
spring skiing is so forgiving. Looks so fun!
Nice camera quality!!!! What camera did you use?
GoPro Hero11 -- thanks!
Amazing!
Did someone in your party do a pre-run on the road condition, or did you guys just go for it and found out that you got further up the road than you had hoped for?
I was definitely thinking after all the winter rain the chance of a washout was high, but if you think about it, the only reason that road still exists is because of its placement. It was actually in much better shape than the road between the Spook Canyon camping area and Highway 395 -- that part was a mess. We just drove up slowly and hoped we wouldn't have to back down.
Looks awesome. Love those spring skiing turns that leave corn spray across the surface.
What was the date you did this?
