Both albums are great 🤘🤘 A tie for me. Rock N Roll over was my first album ever. It brought me into HardRock / Metal. Especially Aces great Solos.🤘🤘🎸 Keep on rocking and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪🤘👍🎸🍻🌍
KISS was my gateway band. As fucked up as they became, the run from '73 to '79 is impeccable. And Creatures and Lick it Up, too. Pretty much stops for me there, but that's enough to keep them in my heart.
The theme songs are so killer for these videos. 1.) Immigrant Song 2.) Friends 3.) Calling Dr. Love 4.) Ladies Room 5.) Out on the Tiles 6.) Gallows Pole 7.) Mr. Speed 8.) See You in Your Dreams 9.) Hard Luck Woman 10.) Makin Love Kiss-6 Zepplin-4
Wow! That's insane they beat you up over your Ace shirt! I can only imagine Robert Plant & Jimmy Page's reaction to hearing some of their "fans" beating up a kid! They're both such English gentlemen. They'd a been like, "C'Mon Lads! Don't do that! That isn't the way!" :) Sorry that happened. On my block in the late 70's, it was KISS first for me and my friend Mitch, and then Queen. My friend Brian turned me onto Rush. I loved roller skating to Tom Sawyer when I was like 10 at the Skateland. And I remember we also started liking Aerosmith after Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band the movie came out. The movie did terrible but I'll never forget seeing Aerosmith cover Come Together!
All The World's a Stage and ALIVE! were my go-to's in '77. Then Cheap Trick (Heaven Tonight) was super cool. Aerosmith Rocks album also came out. That is my favorite Aerosmith album. Hard Rock and Funky. Not one bad tune on it.
FAVE KISS ALBUM, always... 1. I want you (Damn, so close!) 2. Take me (LOVE IT!) 3. Calling Dr. Love (not even close) 4. Ladies room (Since i been, has always bored me to tears) 5. Baby Driver (PETER!!!!!) 6. Love em, leave em (Love this tune, Ace's solo just reeks of 1970's Ace-isms....PERFECTION)
Me and my cousin are huge kiss fans. We always thought at the end of the makin’ love track on kiss alive 2, it kinda sounds like Paul screams, “Naked Love!!!!” Something we could always laugh about as kids and still do today. 😂
oooooouuuuhhhh !!! Both absolute Great ! A favorite from Zeppelin (Top 3) A favorite from KISS (Top 5) I would probably choose RARO 👍 Tangerine is the only Track I would prefer over Mr. Speed
Oh boy... Welp, Brittany Fox vs. Cinderella THIS ain't. It's more like PBS vs. Sid and Marty Kroft. But, since 'Land of the Lost' was on PBS, I guess there's just no getting around this. Be brave jaake, you can do this. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh...... this is brutal from the get-go. Okay, I'm giving #1 to "I want you" for the same reason you are PLUS "The Immigrant Song" became kind of a caricature song as time went on. Next! #2 I have to give to "Friends" even though "Take Me" has the most badass bridge Paul Stanley ever wrote, not to mention the blistering solo and the dual guitar tag that leads to the last chorus. All that said, if you were to turn Jimmy Page from a human into a song, "Friends" is that song. JPJ brings the "menace and mystery" hard as fvck with that string section, and even though Bonzo isn't behind the kit, everything about his influence on Zeppelin's approach to rhythm is fully present. Light and Dark colliding like two bullet trains; that's Led Zeppelin. #3: "Calling Dr. Love". Are you kidding me? This was the first Gene Simmons song I ever heard. And though he's made me wanna' kick his ass into oncoming traffic for the last 1/4 century, I cannot deny that he was The Man when I was an impressionable youngster. Besides, if I had Zeppelin's jet, bank account, and Jimmy Page's doctor on tour with me, I'd be pretty fvckin' celebratory as well. Without even trying. Next! #4: What can I say? This was the first record I ever picked out and bought with my own money. "Ladies Room" is so goddamned catchy. And it doesn't matter where or when I hear it, I WILL be singing "For my money, you can't be too soon" as I loudly smack the closest object 5 times. It is what it is. #5: FINALLY. Some real contrast. Bonzo and JPJ all fvcking day long. That BAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Growly, stringy, monster tone for DAYS. #6: Gallows Pole. It's just a better song. #7: Tangerine. "Mr. Speed" is a total throwaway track. #8: "Dreams". I'm surprised at the number of fans who don't like this tune. I get not liking the solo album version, it sounds like some kind of glossed-up, "night with the stars"-type thing with Lou Rawls and Cicily Tyson. But the RRO version has a nice, edgy Beatles-trip to it on the vocal call-outs, a PERFECT Ace solo, and I LOVE the open chords on the first chorus. #9: For all the shit he took from Paul and Gene, Pete was to KISS what Rodger Taylor was to Queen, in his own way. "Hard Luck" totally redeems the Beth sap-fest, and Pete returns to 'Black Diamond'-quality in the vocal department, making every normie who heard this on the radio say "I really like that new Rod Stewart tune". #10: AWL NITE LAWNG, bitches! God damn. I need a drink after all this work. 🙃🥁
Another tough one. 1. I Want You (barely) 2. Friends 3. Celebration Day 4. Since I’ve Been Loving You 5. Baby Driver 6. Gallows Pole 7. Tangerine 8. That’s the Way 9. Hard Luck Woman 10. Makin’ Love Zeppelin 6 Kiss 4

Led Zeppelin has a few songs that I like a lot but, I think they are way overrated for the most part. 1) Immigrant song 2) Take Me 3) Dr. Love 4) Ladies Room 5) Baby Driver 6) Love em, Leave em 7) Mr. Speed 8) See You in Your Dreams 9) Hard Luck Woman (& I don't even like HLW) 10) Making Love
Most Zeppelin albums are exactly that ,an album can't break the songs apart , it is a whole album experience .., CODA the only exception perhaps ? So no contest mate , Zepp by a country mile ..,
Mad Lad Ralph preaches the word of rock!! Love this American legend! Hail and salutations from Belfast Northern Ireland 🇬🇧 P.S KISS don’t deserve to exist In the same universe as the all mighty Zep! Oh and I like KISS quite a lot! Hope you are keeping well matey.

@maggiekoehler-in5kq first album I ever bought with my own money was Kiss Asylum in 1985.at a place called TG&Y... How ive managed to remember all that $hit I dunno...probably because Kiss is involved..🤘many thanks for just being so cool Maggie🤘✌️
In 7th grade I wore a denim jacket with the R&R Over album cover painted on the back. It's still in my closet 42 years later.
I had a R&R Over shirt in 7th grade. 1977. Black and Silver KISS at their best. Their best studio album outside of ALIVE!
Both albums are great 🤘🤘
A tie for me.
Rock N Roll over was my first album ever. It brought me into HardRock / Metal. Especially Aces great Solos.🤘🤘🎸
Keep on rocking and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪🤘👍🎸🍻🌍
Out on the tiles is a great song
Correct.
Zeppelin should have put Hey Hey What Can I Do on the record instead of Hats Off To Roy Harper.
Jennings Farm Blues had to be on the Record ! Good it’s on the Deluxe 2 LP !

IMMIGRATION SONG
The theme song for 2023 😂
Why do idiots like you have to interject politics in every single subject on the planet?
Rock n Roll Over for me!
Same as your list doc, except id have Mr.Speed win. So would be a tie. Both killer albums.

I would probably choose RARO 👍
Tangerine is the only Track I would prefer over Mr. Speed
