It's been a week-ish since my first listen to this album! I've played it a lot in my car and during work. Of course, 'Whistle' and 'BEcause' were easily likeable tracks. A nice surprise is 'Alldaylong' being a perfect song to just put on for winding down-- it's so chill, but also Yoohyeon's voice is absolutely immaculate in that track. Let me know what your favorite track is from the album!
*My thoughts on **_Whistle_** :* I don't know why but every time I hear Handong's line, I keep feeling like she's still _"holding this pain"_ even two years later. 😁😁 Also, anyone else unable to _not_ hear Robert Miles' _Children_ when they hear this song? 😂😂
I saw you smiling ear to ear during Airplane And this whole album made me smile ear to ear throughout. I am one of those few people who like Minx as well as Dreamcatcher and imagine how would Minx x DC would sound like, and I got Airplane 😁 For me whole Summer Holiday shows different moods in each song. "BEcause" shows journey of people who go to hot/horror places to shed some heat Then "Airplane" is Morning song of trip, "Whistle" is that evening song when you are chilling in the evening, "Alldaylong" is that song which you play when you are returning and night has fallen and you are driving the next it "A heart of Sunflower" which is a Love/Break-up song but you play that at the very end of your trip kinda song and then you reach back home realising your Summer Holiday is over.
My fav b side track is Whistle. I knew I was gonna love that song just from the album highlight video they released prior to BeCause comeback and the album release. I love everything about Whistle- the lyrics, the instrumental, their voices. Handong, JiU and Siyeon sound Soo good. Dami’s second verse is probably one of my favorite parts of the song if not the whole album. I love that this album in general gives Handong and Dami so many lines. This album feels the most balanced in terms of line distribution. Because, Whistle, Alldaylong, A Heart of Sunflower, Airplane is how I rank them. Airplane is not really the genre I tend to listen to. Cause I will listen to any sound DC puts out because they just kill everything. They can’t sound bad. I listen to lyric videos to know what the lyrics mean. And when I was getting into them I used them to help me put faces to voices to verses.This album fallows the trend of their other albums with the album having various sounds or genres. Their full length album- Tree of Languages is a masterpiece that has basically EVERYTHING.
Whistle is the best b-side of the album and one of the best songs from Dreamcatcher. Airplane is not a song to my taste, but the bass guitar is very cool and I also like the Gahyeon part. I adore her voice.

I was kinda surprised that we haven't gotten either a self-made clip for one of the b-sides or secondary promotion for "Whistle" (like they did for "Wind Blows"). Everyone seems to LOVE "Whistle" but they haven't performed it at all, as far as I know - not even at the showcase. It could be any of many possible reasons, but the company definitely seems to have moved back in to the "in-between promotions" mode of solo/unit special clips and other projects like Mysterious Mansion.
SING LALALALALALA xD it does not come out of my head, and when their producer said that the songs needed Handong's voice he not lied, her tone enriches the songs even more, it seemed perfect especially for Poison love and Whistle to me
Whistle is my favorite B-side to Summer Holiday. In the beginning I didn't like All Day Long, because is not my style, but when JiU said she wrote that song thinking on Yoohyeon It started to like. This was my first comeback like inSomnia. Really enjoyed!
I love the full album. I like it more than the last two mini albums. Alldaylong is a fave as it does have a relaxed manner. It reminds me of the softer ballad tracks the American Funk Band Cameo issued between 84 and 86. It takes me back to then. Another reactor stated that Alldaylong was so perfect, they could listen to any similar DC track (if it was of the same quality) any time.
It's okay to stream lyric/line distribution videos. All you need to do is remember to also stream the song on either Spotify or on the group's RUclips channel as well to make up for it. Best of all, it gives you the excuse to listen to the song twice!! 😁😁
😂 now that you mention it, I can see that. Both groups are pretty versatile with their concepts! It would be awesome for Dreamcatcher to do an RV cover or vice versa!
Everyone has their own opinion of coarse, but for me, Airplane sounds to much like so many other groups type of song. Only because it’s a Dreamcatcher song, it’s alright, but definitely not a favorite. On the other hand, I love Whistle, it is easily in my top 10. For Alldaylong, Jiu actually said she had Yoohyeon in mind when writing the song. Edit: BEcause has actually become my 3rd favorite DC song, knocking Boca down to 4th. For me, Odd Eye is still number 1, with Deja Vu number 2. Also, have noticed, that when Dreamcatcher makes a self made video for a song, they usually always pick the most 'serious' song on the album.
