  • Design practices come in all shapes and sizes. But if you are looking to consistently deliver good and solid UX that can scale up to solve complex design problems, then you need to build a mature and sustainable UX design practice. Winging it with small teams and ad-hoc practices will not cut it.
This is what Dr. Eric Schaffer explains in this video The Unique Challenges of Smaller UX Teams. He offers advice on what businesses must stay away from if they are committed to UX and presents a clear roadmap of all the capabilities required for institutionalization of UX, such as strategic intent, methodology, staffing and infrastructure, governance, training, specialized UX design capabilities and more.
Lastly, drawing from his expertise and extensive experience in the field, Eric recommends that if an enterprise is serious about UX engineering, then it must go the extra mile-from building UX capabilities to bringing in change management.
