- The Edmonton Oilers fumbled the chance to win on home ice last night falling 4-3 to the Vancouver Canucks. Stuart Skinner played a big role in the loss and not in a good way. The Oilers netminder stopped only 11 of the 15 shots he faced and was pulled after 40 minutes.
Heading into game 4, there are many questions lingering over the Oilers lineup. Should Skinner start the next game? Should Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid play separately? How can the Oilers get the most out of their bottom six? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will discuss those questions and more on Oilersnation Everyday live on the Oilersnation RUclips channel at noon.

How anyone can think of starting skinner next game is baffling - he has established that he’s been terrible.
Hoping Stu maybe has a good game is a terrible strategy, we have to try a different goalie who statistically is almost guaranteed to be an improvement over Stu.
So if we saying you can’t cross check people then why did hyman cross check zadorov in the face right after ? And not get suspended ? 🤔

Tyler you were right. The Oilers 45 shots, Vancouver 18. Skinner laid an egg, Foegele gave up a pizza, and Macdavid missed one defensive zone play or that's 3-0, 3-1 maybe a 4th with an empty netter.
You cant go into game 4 with that. Campbell took over for skinner in game 4 against l.a. last year and got them the win. I never trusted skinner as "the guy." He is "a guy" but he needs a tandem. Losing to shilovs and van like this is embarrassing.
Cole has more goals than the oilers 2nd, 3rd n 4th lines. He plays defense for VANCOUVER lol
This is crazy. Same story every year…. Watching the oilers waste mcdavids prime is so hard to watch. Winning with nurse on the roster and not having an elite goalie seems missing impossible. I really wanna see them win but seems not this year, so just wanna enjoy Vancouver vs Dallas next round. Gonna be fun. Unless a miracle happens.

The whole series is not on your goaltender. There are shooters and skaters on the other side - and the Oil have ONE line.

Skinner is perfect in the regular season but another layoffs. At this moment he is the worse playoffs goalie. I Believed he can't handle the pressure. I will suggest Oilers should runs two goalies system to balance the goalies pressure, once the pressure is reduced both goalies absolutely can provide their best performance for team. Don't forget four hands doing the job is better than two hands. Both goalies has more time to rest and more energy to play the playoffs series. Oilers has no choice, if they want to win the game. That's only way for Oilers. Pickard can do he job.especially when he face to the strong team，he is more tougher than the Skinner. I hope the coach will let Pickard plays tonight, another option is let Jack Camlbell plays tonight.
