@@Nemoflow Polunin is a bit a kind of poor lost boy etc. But for a time, he was really one of the best, when not the best dancer on earth, i think, as good as vassiliev. unfortunatly, i think, he isn't anymore and he doesn't care to be so good anymore, doesn#t train a lot and has other priorities. But i think in his last years in the UK he was. Now, why natalia brooked ip with Vassiliev and prefered Polunin, i don't know. Heart has its reasons we can't understand from outside. Polunin looks like an extremely shy guy but a kind one. Anyway, Natalia and him brooked up as well.

A great night for the two to have all the gods come to them for a magnificent performance...just love the the two in this film...so glad someone was smart enough to film the pair in perfection...thank you V & O-smiles
I love this performance. I just wish the background was not black or the dancers were not wearing black. Black on black makes it really hard to see the performers. Sometimes Ivan becomes almost invisible.
We have to forgive Argentina. The sets are dark due to a very distressful financial burden by the country imposed by voracious e greedy foreign investors.
Ivan is the rock star of ballet. I have seen him lives several times and I adore him. He is always messy. Definitely not a Baryshnikov, but always delightful. Natalia is a wonderful ballerina. Too bad their partnership broke up.

I thought all knew about Natalia. She was trained as gymnast from young age. Got injured. Did ballet excercises to recover & rest is history. Notice her agility, jumps & extensions all better than normal ballerina. She has the edge.

Lighting is crummy for video especially when he's wearing black! Don't they ever think about a background which shows off the dancers rather than hides them? He is fabulous too but you can barely see him!
I thought he struggled to hold his balance on some of his turns and landings,and having read some of the other comments here I am not the only one to think so,but overall they both gave a good performance.
I agree, when i first saw them together many years ago i thought they were great and indeed a novelty because they were a couple and had a great connection but now after watching him numerous times i find him too ott and very off balance and his body looks like hes pumped too much iron and i am always nervous that when he jumps or spins hes going to fall over even his feet positions are not right because his legs are too muscle bound, Oh never a Baryishnikov who could pull off jumps and leaps like those without ever making you nervous that he would go off balance. He isnt classy at all, she is the better of two and looks far more natural than him.
