    Thank you for this video 😍 The model presented is the “old” model released in 2021, and not the one released in mid-2023, so it only charges at 3.3 kW !
    We see it in the old instrument cluster, and the old multimedia.
    And it is not a CVT box but an epicyclic gear train specific to Toyota.
    Besides it's a Toyota, built by Toyota, Suzuki simply put another front buckle and the acronym "Suzuki"
    Le modèle présenté est "l'ancien" modèle sorti en 2021, et pas celui sorti mi-2023, donc il ne charge qu'a 3,3 kw !
    On le voit à l'ancien combiné d'instruments, et à l'ancien multimédia.
    Et ce n'est pas une boite CVT mais un train épicycloïdal spécifique aux Toyota. D'ailleurs c'est une Toyota, construite par Toyota, Suzuki a mis simplement un autre boucler avant et le sigle "Suzuki"

    Why would anyone buy this Suzuki new when for the same money you get the Rav4 Phev which in top trim gets you a HUD, a pan roof, proper leather interior , sat nav and a ten year warranty compared to Suzuki's paltry three year warranty. No brainer as they say. However Suzuki gives you a heated steering wheel whereas for reasons that defy logic Toyota do not though Toyota also gives you heated and ventilated seats ....

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  2 года назад +1

      Yup, it's strange how the Toyota right now is cheaper than the Suzuki. It didn't used to be the case, whereby the entry level Toyota would be the same price as the Across.

      Depends on the market. Plugin rav4 was not available when Across was on the market, in the showrooms already.

    Suzuki reliability! Rarely are the number of units taken into account with regards to reliability. Look at the number of vauxhall astras back in the day compared to the Suzuki swift.
    Always given bias.

    I was a bit thrown by your opening section on Phevs. They all ‘self-charge’, don’t they?

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  2 года назад +1

      They don't - however, most if not all have regenerative braking, which of course isn't quite like self-charging!

    • @spsmith45
      @spsmith45 2 года назад

      @@TotallyEV Thanks for replying. I note that on a Renault page, when referring to Phevs, they say “You can definitely drive your plug-in hybrid without a charged battery. Although it is designed as a combustion-assisted electric vehicle, the battery always has some energy stored away thanks to its self-charging technology.”.I have always assumed this is the case. So when driving a typical PHEV with battery ‘dead’ (ie at v low capacity) some charge is being fed back into the battery from the engine. Is this wrong?

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  2 года назад

      Only in some cases, most don't do that unfortunately. Which Renault are you looking at out of interest?

    Suzuki should also make fully electric cars, im sure they could themselves ...they make great motorcycle engines, electric cars work much more simpler!! 🐱👍🏿

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  2 года назад

      That's the thing, both Toyota and Suzuki are behind the curb on this, so they're helping eachother out - wouldn't be surprised if we see a few more collaborations but in fully electric vehicles!
