I have the 600 great bit of kit and has saved me hundreds in garage fees, did a manual dpf clean and flushed the dpf then told the car it had a new dpf, worked a treat, now on my new ish car it can do the electric parking break as well, think I paid £130 on a amazon deal very happy with kingbolan + lifetime updates for freeeee. 😊
Hello mate ,on what car did you use it ? I Just purchased the Launch 2024 LAUNCH CRP129X PRO+ OBD2 Scanner Car Diagnostic Tool Engine ABS SRS EBP SAS.And try to reg my dpf on my Audi A5 and could do it .Getting message no available..function not supported etc .I think Brian also had same issue in one of his video on the Skoda .
@@islanderstalents8342 I used it on a Toyota urban cruiser d4d, both me and mother in law have the same car so did both cars, also rest the oil light as the car had high oil level stored in the ecu witch kept making the service light come on and would also stop the car from doing its own regen, I was going to get the 129x but at the time the kingbolan was cheeoer, have you updated the 129x over WiFi could be the problem?
@@I2383R Thanks for your reply .Yeah that’s the first thing I’ve done ,a full update ,but no luck .I reckon I will have to purchase the full software version for my car from their online store from the OBD apps store .
you can also pop open the hood and ipen the driver door, then put ignition ON then depress and hold both the brake pedal and the gas pedal to reset service for many range rovers. just a handy tip.
Hi Jimmy, I bought one of these Kingbolen s800 scanners. I can't seem to register a new battery even though it has the function on there. 2006 bmw 325i. I've updated all the software, still no joy. Any ideas💡
is that the official site for them? how much was it? I was looking at the k7 or the k8 and experience is it worth paying a bit more I think they are more expensive do other models have free updates? who is the company what country?

I bought the Kingbolen K7, but not too happy with it. Tried to read data on a Euro 5 2013 Fiat Ducato, but it doesn’t read it. Very basic stuff like rpm it does, but that’s it…
The special functions do not work on all cars, it’s hit and miss , I sent mine back to Amazon as it couldn’t do DPF reset on my Peugeot Rifter or my Citroen Xsara Picasso. But it could reset service light on one of them.
Looking at the Amazon link you kindly posted but please excuse my ignorance but the price of the scanner various according to the amount of 'Resets' E.G 4, 8, 15 what does this mean Jimmy ?
First thing to note is that this device only scans four modules on the car. The 4,8,15 bit relates to the amount of things you can reset (oil service etc) in a 24hr period.
@@SabretoothBarnacleAre you saying it doesn't do a full system scan? It's restricted to 4 of the most common modules where issues would be found/needed for a general user?
Will this tool work on the vauxhall vivaro 2016 plate? I bought the topdon ad500s and was crap didn't find my van and just had very basic settings, so sent it back
Or does it mean it was last changed at 21K ? as Jimmy just mentions meaning its done 40K+ since last oil change - Hence 61K ? unbelieveable sounds like proper neglect ..............

I bought this as a back up Jimmy great tool hasn’t let me down yet👍🏻
greetings. Is it possible to regenerate the DP filter on the Seate 2.0 TDI with the King Bolen S800 diagnostics?

No oil change for 21k miles on an ingenium, that won't end well
The biggest surprise is that it actually managed 21k
Maybe the oil changes are what kill the DPFs...
@@andrewbaines8760 True enough!
Do mine every 10k and still going strong at 130k so far
Wow really beautiful usefull tool . Tgank you for sharing . What is the tool that offer same dpf option but under 100£
Another vehicle Doctor O'Riley has saved :)
Should do the icarsoft review 👍🏻
Interesting compact scantool! And the price doesn't kill you either.
Thanks Jimmy. On the live data it says standard range for DPF pressure = -1280 - 1270. What range would you recommend that seems a wide range
i believe Kingbolen is the main unit and launch is sold by Kingbolen just under different name.

What happens when you try which menu do you goto
@SamTurring Hi, I've tried the battery registration mode, I've also looked in special functions but I can't find anything , says not supported..
Looks like a nice home mechanic option 👍

Less than £185 with life time updates, bargain 👍
