did you forget to remove the 2nd protective sheet on the clear mounting surface, or am I seeing things? 🤔. Do you/we think Viofo will release a 2-ch version (possibly the 'VS2') in the near future? I like the small form factor of the VS1, but I also would like a 2-ch set up. I guess I can't go wrong with a A139 or A229 2-ch from viofo...decisions, decisions 🤔🤔
Nice review job well done! I have a few Viofo's and not so sure I'm a fan of this design. For one the base/GPS module doesn't appear to be detachable so there's no ability to easily transfer from one vehicle to another like I can with my A119 V3's and Mini's 1 & 2. No readily available CPL filter as mentioned, the whole body sits further away from the windshield due to its design which IMO might negate its compactness to a certain degree application dependent. I'm still a fan of the wedge design yet nice to see Viofo still working at bringing us new products.
Forgive me for not being able to figure this out but where do I find this to purchase? I really like the idea of not sticking it straight on the windshield
The price is great and the image quality is acceptable. But I would wait for the CPL filter to become available or buy another VIOFO model that has offers a CPL filter.
forgot to ask...can you load the camera on to more than 1 phone (in/using the app)? multiple drivers, same car, one camera. so if footage needs to accessed, the person driving can access the camera...yes?
Camera looks good, I always like to check out the app reviews before buying things like this and unfortunately the app itself currently has 1.7 star rating with lots of mad reviews that the "updates" have been terrible with it not working right anymore. Since this camera would rely a lot on the app I think this needs to be taken into consideration. What might be a good camera can be lost if the app just does not work well.
I think buffered recoding with G-sensor is far more important than voice commands. Currently, voice commands algorithms are not sophisticated enough to prevent accidental triggering, which is very annoying. Buffered recoding is, on the other hand, key to event evaluation for unattended event reccording.
Great review. The lowlight is quite impressive. Viofo is definitely making a name for themselves in the dash camera market.
These Starvis sensors are awesome!

Great review!!! I ordered mine Monday last week and still waiting for it to be shipped out. Can't wait to get it!
Hope you enjoy it!
nice review!! im so glad you put this much effort!!!
Glad you liked it!!
Cheers, decision made. Will get one of these
👍👍

You are right about the choice!
As for the folio - you are right too. I use each of the layers, so that I stick less 😁

This one actually is a quick-release based, but I also kind of like the shape of the earlier models.
@@TechMishka Thanks! Yeah realized that about the base after a bit more research.
I wonder too how often you accidentally change the angle of the lenses when pushing a button.
@@TimEndzeit Yeah dunno but it's something to think about alright.
What is that clear thing you put on?
Ok found it online….does it work good in the heat?
Yeah, no issues with heat

Nice Review. Greetings from neighboring Türkiye 😀
Hey, thanks! Warmest regards ♥️

👍👍
The CPL for VS1 will be released soon.
how would you compare it with Viofo a119 MINI 2? which one would you prefer for less than $10 with promo applied.
It is similar about video quality, and a bit more compact.
forgot to ask...can you load the camera on to more than 1 phone (in/using the app)? multiple drivers, same car, one camera. so if footage needs to accessed, the person driving can access the camera...yes?
Yes, you can, but only one session at a time allowed.
Very good review tks.😅😊
Thanks for watching!
Can the audio feedback be off permanently? What id like is the camera to just do its thing, but not hear anything when you start the car each time
Sure, you can entirely mute it.
Great little cam! All cars should just have cams as standard
Agreed
Which is better this or a119 mini 2?
Which one do you suggest ?
Hmmmmm. I think I still am a fan of the Minis

I don't think the app is that bad.
@@TechMishka Glad to hear it, I decided to order one anyway (figuring I can always take the card out if need be).

I wonder if you could put one in front and one back.
Better get a dual channel dashcam.
I’m thinking of my lease vehicles.
this or the 119 v3? im cheap lol. i see this is a newer model but seems 119 v3 is more proven. looking to replace my $10 dashcam.
The 119 v3 is still awesome, you can't go wrong with it
Price and quality is pretty much at the top. Might make good option as side cams or additional angles. I like it, but not more than banitsa s boza
Hard to find something better than banitsa s boza, especially a good banitsa made by baba. ❤️
Is it permanent or removable? Thx
You can remove it easily
Please do the review of Redmi buds 5
I'll see what I can do about it.
Can you turn off the speed on the video?
Yeah, you can hide the GPS data
For a second i thought you were talking about me with that title.
I am sure the force is with you.
@@TechMishka I sure hope so
I am old-school in that I need a built in screen
Same here ☺️
it's ok. Viofo will get it right in 3-10 years.
In 10 years this will likely be a feature in most cars, together with AI safety.
