Excellent video on pressing. After sewing for over 35 years, I never owned a holder for my ham. Well, we can always learn something new. Pressing is essential to keep from having a "hand-made" appearance. Thanks for sharing these tips.
This is a great video. When I learned to sew in middle school, I was told to use the ham and seam role for curves so, having you elaborate on the other uses is an added bonus.
You are wonderful, this is one of the best tips I had watch in my journey to sewing provided as a free tutorial. You are awesome, thank you for this video.
Sorry for the double post in my previous question! (Technical difficulties) Btw thanks for the signed book I ordered from your site and for the clapper, its beautiful! And you are probably busy so ill just repost my question on the tailoring class from craftsy I bought a while ago, which I should have done in the first place! :) I'm sure you or someone can answer it there hopefully :D I'd like to hurry up and get this sewing and pressing to action! Thanks again!
So even when we use a press cloth over fabric do we still just "steam bathe" and not touch the press cloth with the iron? Or when we have the press cloth do we touch it with iron? Also when we use press cloth and clapper, do we put clapper on press cloth or do we remove it to put on fabric?
When using press cloth do we still just "steam bathe" or do we touch iron to the press cloth? When using clapper and press cloth do we use the clapper over the press cloth or remove the press cloth to put clapper directly over fabric? Thanks!
Good question. I did some research and found the answer on her website. Wow, just what I need- someone to make me feel inferior! (just kidding- very easy to understand and seems very genuine)
There's another advantage to steaming... free facial. All those pores are getting cleaned too!
