To me it seemed ovious to clique the stone but well there is a reason why Takahashi is standing 9-1 with faeries in a GP and I´m 2-2 on my current Arena Event.
@@Bananasforthesoul Because giving his opponent the opportunity to topdeck a tron piece and play Ugin meant that he would certainly lose, whereas Yuta with cryptic snap on untap knew he'd have the opportunity to see 9 cards on his deck to hold cards for a rebuild after the stone went off (cryptic draw, 2 brainstorm, 2 drawstep), and he knew that his opponent would have to discard the Ugin to his Lili trigger.
Yuta Takahashi demonstrated ice cold precision and patience in this matchup. Many players would look at an O-Stone and lose their shit, but wow, just seeing him control the flow of the game each turn then choosing to Fateseal Ikawa that was impressive. Too many times players choose Brainstorm for card advantage but I like how Takahashi controlled his opponent! that was awesome!
@@frankcastle9691 If you haven't already won or effectively won the game by turn 6 or 7, then wurmcoil and friends will often just be good enough. Simply playing expensive spells turn after turn is pretty effective at turning a game to your favor.
If Ancient Stirrings is okay, then unban Preordain for fucks sake. The colourless-card-only “drawback” is a joke, these decks aren’t conceding anything.
30:15 someone must’ve not had a good match in the background
no one mentions the guru islands
I just checked the price on that guru island. 750 dollars.... very nice Yuta
Can you tell me who is the artist?

what gadget is yuta takahashi using?
Looks like a Boogie Board.
41:02 how did lily go to 5 loyalty?
He just made a mistake
With all the land destruction in modern people still play tron?
Hard casting worm coil is a real problem
A few silver bullet mana disruption cards aren't really enough to beat Tron. You need the pressure to go along with it.
@@Nanofuture87 turn 3 wormcoil seems good. Turn 6 or 7 wormcoil not so much.

Yes, and they go 8-1. Because tron lands are that broken and shouldn't be in modern.

it's unbanned now
You got your wish
Doesn’t even shake hands after the loss smh
