@@n0namesowhatblerp362 Around the time of Christ, imports of Roman artifacts increased. The agricultural practice spread to the north and the boundaries of the permanent fields were built in stone. Hillforts became common. A wide range of metalwork, including gold trim, is known from the following Migration Period (about 400-550 AD) and Vendel Period (about 550-790 AD). Sweden's Iron Age is considered to extend to the end of the Viking Age, with the introduction of stone architecture and the Christianization of Scandinavia around 1100 AD. The historical record up to that point is scant and unreliable; The earliest known Roman reports from Sweden are in Tacitus (AD 98). The runic writing was developed in the second century, and the brief inscriptions that remain demonstrate that the people of southern Scandinavia then spoke Proto-Norse, a language ancestral to modern Swedish. Kai was brought up in the Shamanic tradition and is a real Shaman. Their live shows are rituals drawn from runic tablets found as well as coins jewellery etc. Everything they use is handmade to the specifics of the time. In this video it shows a child being born on an eclipse which folklore says makes them a Guardian of nature and a shapeshifter :) The language is proto germanic/pre viking Norse. No doubt Nidels will fill you in far better than me
The woman gets it, the dude is as disconnected as only a man can be, trying to throw bad jokes and being too preocupied with listening to his own voice :p
Hahaha - Feline you crack me up. Those same feelings are what most Heilung fans experience. The sense of loss for the way ancient ways, free as a son/daughter of the earth :)
The dude reaction is absolutely garbage. Made no attempt to get into the music. Maybe he couldn't. He comes off as ignorant and disconnected. The female at least made an attempt. You don't have to like the music but should attempt to listen.
Birthing a child during an eclipse is a special event in Old Norse culture - the child is thought to have a special relationship with animals, assuming their form and giving life to the dead. The drum beating is a warning to two Nordic wolves that would chase the Sun and moon. If the wolf, Skoll, caught the Sun or if the wolf, Mani, caught the moon during solar or lunar eclipses, it was thought to be a sign that Ragnarok approached (The End Times in a nutshell). The drums served as a means to scare the wolves off and away from ever catching the Sun or moon. The language is proto-Nordic - it's real Old Norse as written in the Poetic Edda and various artifacts found during that era with such writing: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetic_Edda
the language is a mix of old Germanic languages that mainly includes the old Scandinavian and old German languages, since the Germans and Scandinavians are closely related 🙂 they have/had a very similar culture and the same gods with small differences. the 3 Members of Heilung are from Norway, Denmark and Germany
Every time I think Heilung could never out do themselves.......BAM! And we have another masterpiece. It's so beautiful I can't describe. But the Gods all know what I feel. Thank You Heilung and thank you poster for sharing. Be safe in your travels.
What a lousy reaction. Is it possible with even less interest and commitment? Well, it's almost understandable that for a native but uneducated speaker of English all other languages must sound somehow unreal/fake.Nevertheless, that's still an incredibly stupid question as to whether the song is sung in a real language or Klingon. It is also not about Celtic or Maori (Polynesian acent) , but the language used in the song is Proto-Germanic/Scandinavian which was used in Central and Northern Europe in pre-Christian times since the Iron Age. So, long before the Vikings, who had their heyday from the 8th to the 10th century.
@@dishonestcomposerreacts Wow, what the heck are 'fake people'? Fake people, do you mean Borgs? Have you ever heard yourself talking in a reaction video? A self-centered mix of ignorance, hubris and presumption. As I said, a lousy reaction. 5 years too late? Listen, the song 'Anoana' is the first song of Heilung's new album which will be published only in August this year. The singer is called Maria Franz, a Norwegian musican and producer and she also dosen't sings in Klingon but partly in an old northern dialect, currently still spoken in and on Iceland and the Faröe Islands. Celtic music? Viking music? New Zealand Maori Music? Why not Tolkien's Hobbit shire? That's even located in New Zealand. Obviously no clue about anything. By the way, the group is called 'Heilung' not 'hee-lung'. (Just a hint, 'Heilung' is a German word and can be pronounced 'high-lung' in English. Apropos pronunciation, A-n-o-a-n-a sounds by you as if you want to say banana. The lyrics in the song Anoana matters probably about encoded magic spells or adjuratory formula from the time of the migration of peoples. (375 till 568 AD). So, definitely not from Viking age.

This would have been Germanic Tribal from before the Viking Age. The language is Old Germanic, or Old Norse. Very close to Gothic. The Runes are from the Germanic Futhark (Elder Futhark) which is the oldest form of runic alphabets.
It's not celtic, it's technically "viking" only 2,000 years before the Viking Age, the Nordic Bronze Age which is probably one of the most interesting periods and locations in human history.
Technically not viking as the viking age is defined as 793-1066 CE. The language and themes used in this song pre-date this significantly and are set well before the Viking age and even the migration period that led to similar/same people spreading all over northern Europe including England.
Its about the reborn god of nature (the girl) it shows the power of nature and to be conected to nature and you have to go very deep in nordic germanic history, its not wicking its more the keltik tribe way the language is real
so difficult to collect my thoughts....I am amazed, frightened, hopeful, feeling mortal, wanting to pray to some deity........I believe these are the emotions Maria and the band hope to elicit from the audience.........I can imagine these are EXACTLY the sounds made by pre-Christian Norse shaman, priests and warriors......I believe the language is a proto-Germanic ( or Scandinavian ) dialect.....note that the ritual takes place under an eclipse in the sky.......I like to think the ending shows Anoana merging with the ox in a perpetuation of nature in the circle of life....they make their costumes and instruments.........Heilung call their music "Amplified History"........
This is ancient, pre- norse language. These are Scandanavian performers, who are , in their live shiws, performing Viking healing ceremonies. The story is of the birth of Anoana, under a solar eclipse. Anoana is possibly singing her saga, with the male voice reciting the story. Anoana grew her reindeer antlers, and other donned their horns as shamanistic figures. She is a landawarijer, a land warrior, or wild country guardian. Anoana is her name. She is a shamanistic, forest/sea spirit. The antlers show that she carries earth power. The final scene showed Anoana merging with her guardian animal, a muskox. As an aside, the baby has Anoana in her name. There will be more of Anoana, in later songs and videos.
Lady has her head in the right place for Heilung...the dude however? Not a judgement, it's just that people that don't connect don't understand the beauty and power behind it. Some people get it, some people don't. It's whatever, still a good reaction lol

Oh, I totally agree! We have almost no in depth lessons on world history regarding our ancestry, migration patterns among the world populations prior to the Renaissance Period, or modern cultures around the world today here in the States. It is a true shame that the state of education is the way it is, being as ethnocentric as it is, but here parents would throw a hissy fit if their kids came home talking about anything other than "America is the greatest thing since sliced bread". I had to self-teach on several fronts and am still behind on studying the world we live in. One of my best friends,, who I met hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2017, is from Oberhausen and we try to converse regularly over video chat. Best wishes, Freund, from the United States.
To my understanding they use up to 9 different languages. Some are even Proto-languages. Maria is a part of 3 different bands if i am correct. Did I understand you early in the video that someone had requested this and you were doing it 5 years later? If so then you must be mistaken, this is their newest song to date. Just sayin :)
I think you need to research this group. Some of these comments are a little embarassing. Theyre not viking. Theyre not celtic. Theyre not maori even. The language is real.
Heilung: highlung Heilung is great; love them. I think you’ll like Wardruna also. Their songs and lyrics come from the old Norse and Viking eras. Have a look at their epic LIFA live at Castlefest concert with songs like: In Maidjan Alfadhirhaiti Krigsgaldir Othan Hamrer hippyer
this is about the circle of life. baby, fawn? to adult, then dies, only to be reborn again. Sorry you didn't get it. This moved my soul back to a time when our needs were more base, and we respected the earth and the gifts she gives us. Sorry you didn't have a clue on the obvious.
By the way, there are viking villages in Denmark and possibly in Norway and Sweden as well where you can live like live would have been during at least early medieval times. Not quite a cave but as close as you could get these days...
That's futile, my friend. They haven't any clue, that long before of the Viking Age after the Stone age the Bronze Age and then the Iron age followed first. The don't understand that we're talking about a time period of not less than 8000 years of human history. Vince & Feline are the victims of their lack of interest on history. Like many Americans, they're seemingly convinced about that before the United States was founded, there could only had be the Stone Age and that everyone lived, draped with hides, as nomadically hunter-gatherers in caves, like Neandertals.
It was a language. But the singers don't know about the meaning. In this particular song, they translated coins and engravements and it got them the vibes of being that story. No shame to it. It is a proto-germanic language at alst. Nobody really knows the meaning of it. It's not like latin that is called a dead language it's way before that. It's hard to get into it, because proto germanic is just tribes doing their own thing, no real translations, no books, not really an alphabet, as a rune can mean a vowel or a thing, or a part of a story. It's really complicated and that is why nobody is really able to translate it. It's not like they were there and did a translation. It is a founding on some stones, coins, some wood. It was a spoken language not a written language. There are some stones that got encrypted, but in this song.... no. It could mean "Ibeat your wife all day long, hooray being a murderer" and nobody would know. But it is a language, no made up fantasy words. We just don't know about the true menaing of them.

Damn their face and reaction in front of this masterpiece ... what to they listen to normally? Radio autotuned BS ?
No classical music and good 80s music
Yes thats him in a nutshell.
"the song is not super original "???
Yeah that really pissed me off. Theyre the most original band Ive ever seen. Also she is not a cave woman!
Not sure on what planet he lives, but yeah... After all the nonsense spouted by both it's clear they have absolutely no clue about (pre) history. When he mentioned the originality, I thought he was coming up with the names of two hundred and fifty other rock and roll bands making the same kind of music and lyrics... Obviously in a fake language.. 😂😂😂
And the cave woman?
I am not even going into that
🤷
Vince clearly has no wildest clue, what a disappointment of a human being. :/
No reason to be that harsh. If you never, ever grew with any kind of appeal to history or culture, or never had that wake up call about who you are, where you are from, or any interest to the origins of things, yours or others, you likely won't understand that kind of stuff.
You, on the other hand, clearly lacked other things in your education as well. Decency.
It might be frustrating but it clearly ain't a reason to be that insulting to the point of saying that a completw stranger that you never talked to, ever, is a disapointment of a human being.
Get a grip.

@@dishonestcomposerreacts Thanks for trying to back me up, but you should stop insulting people as well. Obviously you didn't start a RUclips Channel just for fun and get heated by people's comment. Not because those you insulted won't come back, but because others will see and read what you typed and you appear as a negative and childish person that can't ignore comments meant to tarnish your channel.
I didn't like your reaction that much to the video to be honest, i think that you, indeed, lacked some respect to a culture that isn't yours and that people may have at heart, it helps them connect to their ancestry and a part of themselves/culture they felt have been lost to modern society, and won't ever have the chance to live anymore.
I'm assuming you're the guy in the video, so that's why i'm telling you this. I don't know which cultur you came from, but you should respect what was before yourself and what was before others in the essence of things as you are just the continuity of that line in the end.

The Songs are sung in a old, pre Viking Language.
Many greets from Germany
Jeder Mensch brauch ab und zu etwas Heilung. 🤗
Agreed, brother! Best wishes from the United States and I sincerely hope that you are well there in Deutschland.
The language is proto-Nordic - it's real Old Norse as written in the Poetic Edda and various artifacts found during that era with such writing:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetic_Edda
the language is a mix of old Germanic languages that mainly includes the old Scandinavian and old German languages, since the Germans and Scandinavians are closely related 🙂 they have/had a very similar culture and the same gods with small differences. the 3 Members of Heilung are from Norway, Denmark and Germany
Just proto-germanic... ;-)

Don't want you back either. Bye
Maria Franz is just amazing.
Totally agree 🤘
Greets from Germany
Its an honest reaction. I know fake people and tribal fan base people like you are not used to it cause you live in a simple FAKE world.
@@dishonestcomposerreacts
Wow, what the heck are 'fake people'?
@@dishonestcomposerreacts The clicks you hear are people telling YT to never recommend your video again.

Do not come back to this channel ever again you tribal people. Its not for any of you.
It's not Viking music. This type of music pre dates Viking times. It is meant to amplify the history of the old Northern Germanic Peoples.
It's pre Viking Germanic , old Norse .

@@psychobartus "Viking" as a language didn't invent itself in a few years. Therefore it doesn't make sense to say it isn't "Viking".
You were right the first time, Viking, pre Viking era.
American moment
Its about the reborn god of nature (the girl) it shows the power of nature and to be conected to nature and you have to go very deep in nordic germanic history, its not wicking its more the keltik tribe way the language is real
Hey girlie. Looks like you got it. Near the end I believe that the little girl pets the big animal then climbs up on its back and takes a nap
Also, take a trip to norway or Iceland. Langauge isnt fake. Not everything is english, Spanish, Italian or greek just as examples
If Feline wants to hear Maria at her fabulous best and Kai as the true Shaman he is, she should watch In Maidjan.
She probably would be interested in that
Viking was a job title. The Vikings are long gone. Scandinavian folk is the proper term 👌🍻
so difficult to collect my thoughts....I am amazed, frightened, hopeful, feeling mortal, wanting to pray to some deity........I believe these are the emotions Maria and the band hope to elicit from the audience.........I can imagine these are EXACTLY the sounds made by pre-Christian Norse shaman, priests and warriors......I believe the language is a proto-Germanic ( or Scandinavian ) dialect.....note that the ritual takes place under an eclipse in the sky.......I like to think the ending shows Anoana merging with the ox in a perpetuation of nature in the circle of life....they make their costumes and instruments.........Heilung call their music "Amplified History"........
Heilung❤
When they show that big anaimal close its eyes, it hits me hard. probably because Fresh memories of my dog of 18 years dying, probably, but the women connects with me also, every second of her, I dont understand it but she has some presense & an angelic voice.
Ich liebe das!
I was born in Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein and live there. In the Middle Ages my homeland was Danish, now German. Because of this, I have a loving connection with my northern neighbors. P.S. It doesn't matter where you were born. Your character makes the man. Und ihr Amerikaner habt so null Ahnung von der Welt. Eure Bildung ist ja fast nicht existent! Liebe aus Norddeutschland. Peace

The guy is totally disrespectful.
This is old norse culture from the early iron age, they way the historian reasearcher think the old scriptures and runes sounded like.
Anoana means Spirit or Guardian of the land.
The ending is portraying the northern European shamans of the proto Germanic bronze age where the human spirit becomes one with the animal spirit.
Hi yes Celtic people did worship our gods too as well
It was a language.
Wow, nice job making fun of a different languages
