I love how a single textbook friendly fire incident was enough for a Force-sensitive starfighter pilot to be discharged from a military organization desperate for skilled manpower
Cant wait to hear about Jacen and Jainas stories. When new canon arrived the fact we had lost them was probably what made me saddest. Great video keep up the great work!
Ah Eckharts recently touched on Lumiya as well in his video. Good to have some extra info. I also like the reoccuring "but not the rank of master" memes :p
This is great! Not enough lore and info that is as concise as this about "legends" characters and events. Do you think you will do some technology as well from "legends" ? Like Naga Sadow's rise to power and his sith technology? Keep up the excellent work!
Please make the next video about Corran Horn, Wedge Antilles or Roque Squadron by the way cood content and please more videos per weak they are so good
Glad you enjoy them. Starting next week I'm hoping for every week to have a Wednesday and a Saturday video, and then maybe I'll be able to bump it up to 3 after that.
He's my favorite character and leagues better than his Disney Canon counterpart Kylo ren. He and his story of a good mad turning to the dark side is much more complex, relatable, and deeper than kylo. Trust me you are doing yourself a disservice not reading up in him.
Do a multi-part dive on Jacen. I’m sure you can find break point to stretch the series out as much as you want. 3,4,5-video series would be very interesting. Also would make it easy to plan content.
Jacen solo story is also my favorite and I hope you do continue to talk in depth on his story and legacy. All three of them are very interesting and adds new depth to the old cookie cutter dark/light side story narrative. All three of them as jedi/sith ended up having a profound effect on the galaxy and ended up changing the future and bringing true change and balance to the force through jacen daughter allana. I wish we could've continued all their stories and eventual culmination with allana future. Though along with what you were saying with the multiple inconsistencies with different authors interpretation on these characters and eventual retconing with ppl like troy denning that in my opinion either ruined or severely hurt these characters stories by the end. I wish they would've stayed with or mixed up writers like with Matthew Stover who wrote more unique takes on the broader side of the force.
Please do a video on Jacen hes also my favorite also Vergere too. Their stories deserve this attention especially in light of their Disney Canon counterparts dropping the ball this much
Still not convinced Vergere was simply a "Sith all along", she was both Jedi and Sith, and neither, and that's what she wanted Jacen to become, a beacon in the Force beyond light and dark.
If wete rewriting the trilogi after return of the Jedi I woud have the story be set directly after tje destroction of the death star. I would look for actors that look very close to Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford.
So where did darth krate came in this sw universe and why did he revert the rule of 2 to the rule of 1...! Please for give me if the name is not correct , most of the sw cannon and legend confuses me...
Is there any truth to the story that Vergere was only declared a Sith when George specifically said "Stop with the Jedi dabbling in Dark Side powers, that's not how this works." or was that just a rumor?
I mean, there's a subset of people who are upset she was called a Sith at all instead of being kept as a Jedi, but as far as George Lucas goes I'd frankly be pretty surprised if he had ever even heard of Vergere.
@@CoreysDatapad I seem to have heard he'd been told of the whole "Darkside is just an abundance of force energy that mortals can't control" thing from Traitor's description of the Old Jedi Temple ruins and nixed the idea.
When someone remembers me of LotF and FotJ books, I'm somewhat thankfull for reboot. Ben Solo wasn't with us for 15 years to be ruined as a character at least.
When Denning's books said it, other sources could have written it off as a lie by Lumiya if that's the direction they had chosen to take. It was reiterated and confirmed in other out of universe sourcebooks where unreliable narrators aren't really a thing. If I were to do a video on Vergere, I'd definitely go over the controversy there and her portrayal, but it was a bit less central to this video which was already quite long.
@@CoreysDatapad Sorry for always being negetive with my comments. I just have issues with post-njo star wars. (despite lotf being the first star wars series I read start to finish as it came out). I feel the stories had a lot of potential, but really bad execution
You definitely should do an out an out of universe video on Troy Denning. As the poster you responded to said-denning has a controversial reputation in the EU fandom. You should cover the Denningverse and Denning's reputation, which isn't very good
If Star Wars was meant to be a metaphor for the US vs North Vietnamese, it was a poor one The dichotomy of good and evil was clear, whatever your view of the Vietnam War I doubt anyone would call it clean cut as that....
I'm not the one who set Star Wars up like that, that co.parison was George Lucas'. This has been known and reported, repeatedly, since the movies were made. nextshark.com/star-wars-vietnamese-resistance/

Honestly I’m glad someone is doing these deeper lore character dives
I love how a single textbook friendly fire incident was enough for a Force-sensitive starfighter pilot to be discharged from a military organization desperate for skilled manpower
The Sith can be so interesting at times.
At times? When are the Sith not interesting?
So Cory I came over from Eck but I think you have some great content.

Definitely Jainas...lol...she was a babe and everyone should have a nerd crush on her HAHAHA
It seems that weird fellow Luke has a thing for Empire Hand operatives
😂

I loved the old comic packs that came with great stories and 2 unique action figures. Good video 👍🏼
Could you do one on jacen solo/Darth Caedus and the war he caused ? I would love to see your coverage especially of such a topic ! Thank youuuuuuuuuuu
Who is Luke anyway? Never heard of these "Skywalkers" until this series. I wonder if they'll rise to prominence at any point? Haha loved the video 🙂
Cousin of Jake Skywalker
So Glad I reqeusted this. Thanks for doing this corey
I absolutely love it in huge franchises like Star Wars where small early antagonists who get easily overlooked later become major villains.
I love the timeline feature on these character vids. Keep it up Corey!
I have a ton of love for lumiya I fell so bad for her and she also makes me think luke has a thing for girls trying to kill him
My girl.

I second this very much
Glad you enjoy them. Starting next week I'm hoping for every week to have a Wednesday and a Saturday video, and then maybe I'll be able to bump it up to 3 after that.
Ah, this Luke Skywalker, never heard of that guy.
I forgot that they made Lumiya Carnor's master.
She has always been one of my favorite Sith, but can't wait to see your vid on Jacen!!
Lumiya is a great character, and even though I disagree with the Rule of Two I admire her dedication to keeping that tradition alive.
Please do a video about jacen i don't know to much about him but he seems really interesting

Welcome! Jacen will definitely be coming at some point

Cool! Im gonna stick around you got some great content bud!
You grew 2,000 subs since last week good job 👍🏽
Hi Corey, could you please do a video based on the Imperial warlords and there roles and effectiveness on the galaxy after BBY?
Honestly I’ve considered the Legacy era an alternate timeline because of Fate of the Jedi

Corey, Do Ysanne Isard next!!!!
A great set of vids to start this channel, as for ideas for new vids, how about ones on the black fleet crisis or the dark nest crisis?
So I hear from Eckharts you have some great videos about legends lol. A deeper look into Jacen Solo would be an awesome video as well

Maybe Jacen and Jaina Solo?
Please do a video on Jacen hes also my favorite also Vergere too. Their stories deserve this attention especially in light of their Disney Canon counterparts dropping the ball this much
Isard looks like young Kreia.
That would have been awesome if it turned out she was force sensitive and trained and had a similar story to Kreia
Han and Leia are my godly parents.
Im good...I wouldn't t want them to be in any way related to me.in the star wars universe....because I would want Jaina ;) hehehehe
Still haven't caught up on Lumiya's early adventures in the old comics...thinking I should now.
In the star wars miniatures game, lumiya is increadibly good.
Still not convinced Vergere was simply a "Sith all along", she was both Jedi and Sith, and neither, and that's what she wanted Jacen to become, a beacon in the Force beyond light and dark.
I Really want a video about the greatest legends character of all: Revan
Revan was cook but Meetra Surik literally defeated 3 undefeatable sith...one of them could literally consume the entire galaxy
So how about a sith series of videos you’d do great at them like Revan Ulic Qel Droma, Exar Kun, Tulsa Hord, and or Marka Ragnos
Could you start a small mini series on the early Dark Vs Light force wars that involved forces not including Jedi?
Looking forward to the Jacen Solo vídeo, want to use It against some of my friends that believe Kylo Ren is a good and complex character.
Complex? How the fuck is he complex? LMFAO
sent here by EckhartsLadder, you got yourseIf a new sub

Was Carnor Jax the Temporary Emperor or... the Temperorary?
So where did darth krate came in this sw universe and why did he revert the rule of 2 to the rule of 1...!

It's not a reversion, it's a conversion, the Rule of One didin't exist before Krayt.

Also Vergre was NOT a Sith. Denning is a hack
