It's difficult for some developers not to. Consider how they can see these things; do they A) work in a mechanic a readily available mod is fixing or adjusting even better than the intended mechanic or B) work on something that no mod is able to touch?
@@karsonkammerzell6955 I understand that it's basically free labor, however a developer should also take pride in creating something as a whole, and not less than a base game, just to release it in Early Access and let the modders do the rest. I'm not saying that that's what TW is doing, but it's a slippery slope.
Markus Harlow I mean it’s still really really early. They’ve been releasing updates regularly and they’ve said somewhere that they plan to keep it in early access and continuing developing for at least a year
The dismemberment mod really needs to add some initial force and rotation to the head, the way it (weirdly choppily?) falls straight down looks a bit not great.
All those points are the reasons I don't even feel like it brings any thrill visually. The fact that as of today it makes the game crash is a confirmation that patience is to be prioritized here.
@Vinny Fuchs No, the cutting through does not do the same thing. This allows you to cut off someone's head. The cut through mod allows for cutting through multiple people with one swing.
Soldier's morale seemed pretty ok to me in this game so far tbh. I mean looters and peasants runs away very easily, but the higher lvl units stand their ground pretty good. I mean morale and running away when your army is broken is very key element of medieval warfare so turning every soldier including peasants into war-loving zealots makes little sense to me.
Hey man, check out a mod called "realistic battle". It began as an armor mod but the author has been working on AI behavior too. It adds variety to AI strategy. They won't just charge at you everytime. Also check out "yell to inspire". Like "cheer" you press V to cheer and it affects morale too. It's configurable. What sets it apart from cheer is the delayed response. They won't all cheer at the same time. And only the ones in a set radius around you will respond.
There needs to be a stealth kill or critical kill mod where if the enemy is low on health or you managed to sneak up behind them you can do a special animation like in Skyrim where you stab them through the back or slice their head off or something
The fire arrows remind me of the battle from the Gladiator. Would love to recreate that, too bad we cant have catapults during skirmishes like true Romans
In native I swear I had a 2-handed axe, think the Raider's poleaxe from For Honor, I was able to kill 2-3 units in one swing but it was the only weapon could pull that off. As for the mod that makes people less likely to run away, I actually like them breaking morale sooner. In a strategic sense, it makes it easier to win outnumbered fights, and you save more lives of those on your side. You spend less time recruiting/training people up and more time spending going to the next battle, and your troops live long enough to progress to the higher tiers.
It really pleases me that it seems like the developers gave the community much more modding potential in Bannerlord 2. These mods are cool, thanks for sharing.
I can easily see after some more modding that we can get a really fucking amazing game of thrones overhaul. Could you imagine a night battle fighting a horde of white walkers with flaming arrows and swords :D
The huge amount number of views on this video here just proves that you gotta go with mixed content. As much as i like your battle edits the best,it seems these advice videos are more viewed. That doesen't mean you shouldn't treat us with an epic battle here and there :-)
Hey Artem,you should have include V's Garrison Don't eat nor starve mod where said Garrison don't starve anymore and making sieges "difficult" and lowers snowball effects

i think the coming DLC for bannerlord should be a fantasy dlc to allow the modders to create much amazing mods like adding a DLC with mythical creatures like dragons ,you guessed it so we can have a legit game of thrones mod

Agree on dismemberment mob. Was rezlly realky great fun. Untill the crashes started. My game has never crashed before. I installed dismemberment. Enjoyed it but after a siege or 6 i believe it kept crashing and crashing. Deleted it and no more crashes. Really hope he updates it! It was truly awesome
The bit about being able to cut through multiple enemies if they die "like in Mordhau" isn't strictly true. That's only the case with blunt weapons, whereas edged weapons like swords and axes can cut through several enemies in Mordhau.
The only problem i have with realisticbattle is that putting your shield up when there isno threat of missiles seems a little bit dumb plus it slows your units movement speed down. Plus riding a horse with a shield constantly up seems unrealistic since that would severely limit movement when on a horse. The best thing would be if shield units automatically put their shield up when they are being shot by arrows and only lower them when the threat is completely gone
Also a worthy alternative to the Cheer mod that I use is the Yell to Inspire mod that lets you cheer to improve your troops morale and rally your retreating troops to get back into the fight.
Its fun and the story is cool, until you kill the dragon and it became so japanesey and purely symbolic that i wasnt interested anymore..... Still great gameplay tho
The 'Realistic' mod is interesting, especially for shields always up. We should not need to order shield wall. - downside : the Aserai shield becomes really weak I presume. - a recent update improved shield combat, but not enough yet.
Another good bunch of mods is spear rebalance:makes spears stronger and units actually use them. Another mod that allows spears to actually be usable and not collide with allied troops in formations(sorry for the name) and The guy who made cut through everyone made a horse mod too that allows charging horses to do more damage to stationary soldiers like a real horse would.
The new outro song is so much better. Where did you get the new designs from? Did you make them yourself or are they part of one of the Banner Mods? Do I have to start a new game first?
Covered it already in another video but I like the realistic battle one more just because it adds so much more, but in the past I was using the armor does something mod
@@Artem1s Just take the different "roles" or ways to play and do supporting mod videos :) also different levels of progression maybe? as more mods get released, you can do end game mods
The camera mod is what I needed, dislike the current vanilla setting. When fighting you look at your enemy not the direction where the tip of your sword at. If they like to show motion it needs to be subtle, really hope dev. look into this and fix up the camera view and setting. Thanks for bringing this up and the person who made this mod.
Regarding, Xorberax's Cut through Everyone mod, I actually prefer Keehu's Slicer mod myself, which just takes the current behavior of two handed axes and mauls and applies it to all two-handed weapons.
I can't deny the more videos I watch of this game the more I want it. But I'm guna hold out a couple months for it to be patched and nodded a little more. Looks awesome
Thank you Artem for suggesting realistic battle mod, instead of armor does something. It's such a more realistic and better mod. Most of the players are sheep and only go for the popular and sometimes inferior mods, only to miss out on truly great mods which don't get much spotlight.
I've not played the singleplayer for a while. Does the enemy AI still just charge at you or are they a bit more wary? From multiplayer, if I'm alone and outnumbered, I can stall for time by swinging and thrusting at each person and they tend to back off a little. In singleplayer from memory the AI doesn't care and just suicide charges.
Hey, just wanted to say that I loved the video, but you could improve on your editing by reducing the hard cuts (fade to black before a new scene abruptly appears). It's a small enough thing, but it can be a little jarring and annoying if done too often. Keep up the good work!
what armor and sword are you using in the video?? i have never seen neither your body armor nor that two hander sword anywhere, and i have played the single player for over 50 hours with my own kingdom and i went shopping all over the world.
Can you make a mod list to make the game more rts based? Found one that im using that allows you to command units in the free camera but maybe there are more out or soon to be out. Keep up the good work * Is there a way to make the cav better at charge and stick together?
Are there any mods in this game, that alter the blocking mechanics so that low str characters have harder times blocking two-handed weapon strikes? In Warband, I'm tired of being blocked by farmers' clubs while hitting with a battle sword and 70+ str character.
As it is now, the Dismemberment mod should just be called Decapitations, because that's all it is. I don't even know if it's possible to mod full dismemberment to this game, but I'm waiting til then.
I don't understand how dismemberment crashes you, I've used it since the start and never had any issues. My only thought would be that it may not like your settings on Cut Through Everyone, as I'm using that mod by default.

Nice Video m8. Quick Question on the "Bear my Banner" mod. How can i configurate the mod as you did in the Video? i do not have any Options in the mod Options in the main menu.
The no-rout mod is annoying for me. Normally we'd expect a infantry formation to panic and breakup after receiving a charge from heavy cavalry on their flanks or rear, but with this mod they stay about as dense as a brick wall and really negates the point of charges.

Ive been using realistic battle mod. It's it the best mod (on my opinion) for the game. I cannot live without it anymore.

Modding tools are not even released yet. These are modders can do by tweaking files.

Another great mod - Armor Does Something, which increases the impact of armor and makes cutting weapons and projectiles bounce off heavy armor.
Covered it already in another video but I like the realistic battle one more just because it adds so much more, but in the past I was using the armor does something mod
