I haven't listened to Linkin Park songs ever since Chester died. It was too painful. His voice and their songs had a huge impact on me while I was growing up. I think I'm ready to listen again thanks to your cover. Thank you.

Right there with you. Chester / LP saved my life in my early 20s, and losing him made it to painful to listen to them any longer. Halocene's covers are an amazing tribute to him and allow me to listen again.

The collaborations between Halocene, Violet, Lauren, and First to Eleven are bar none the best things to come from 2020.

Yes, first i know Halocene and First to Eleven. And than through collabs i found more and more awesome Rock-Musicans ... Especially i love Violet. Her voice and how she use her gift ... She is a Queen, solo and in collabs. In collabs she appreciate her partners and give them support that they can let shine their voice, in the best way ♥ :)

That harmony is so beautiful that it actually makes me cry happy tears. Until you ladies, I hadn't heard another good version except the original with Chester. I agree with a lot of the other people here in the comments, because I feel the same way. It was too painful to listen to Linkin Park after Chester passed, but you have made me want to listen again. Hoo boy. That muscular guy on the beats absolutely killed it for the entire song, dude put more soul in it than a black alchemist during the 1950's. Then the guitar dude came in clutch at the bridge, and then at the end I fell in love with the singers as well. Absolutely killed it!!!

Even listening to the original, I imagined this being sung as a duet, between two rivals, one blaming the other for something that caused the rift between, when it wasn't either side's fault. And to hear this duet, hearing it be realized, it moves me far more than what I originally pictured in my mind. It's amazing to hear something I imagined and be realized.

When Chester died, it affected me way more than I ever thought a celebrity death could. It will be one of my life’s biggest regrets that I never got a chance to see him, as well as we’ll never get to hear new music with him.

Listened to this on Spotify in my truck right after the original. ...whoever mixed this needs a raise. The drums in the intro sound sick! It’s not often a RUclips version is mixed better than the original, but damn! The drums kicked in at the beginning and my jaw just dropped...they sounded HUGE and just as important, clean. Keep up the awesome work guys!

So... Linkin Park is my favorite band ever. I know each song word for word. When he passed i never thought anything could touch his voice, talent, and his artistry. Linkin Park isn't remembered fondly by everyone, but there are a lot of us who look back on these lyrics as having meaning to us at a time in our lives. It made us feel powerful in a time when we were powerless.

I take anything to do with Linkin Park very seriously, and I'm so glad I wasn't disappointed in this, although I have to say, I do wish Lauren had been a part of this. Her screaming "across this new divide" would have been epic.

Brad and Addie, I am sorry you went through this. Just within my lifetime I knew a time where this only happened in a few isolated cases outside of war. Then just the last 15 to 20 years it turns into an epidemic of violence. I am a survivor of PTSD as well, being deployed to a war zone and being involed in other events, but I was fortunate I faced those where I had some limited protection and ability to fight back. Being so helpless adds a whole other layer of fear. I am glad you have had your music to process it. May you grow more from it and be blessed.

This is my favorite collaboration by far because(not specifically the song but the people)
Addie puts so much emotion behind her singing and has a voice that is capable of singing ANYTHING and still sound angel like the whole time
Brad: Man with the guitar... He makes the entire song look enjoyable and looks like he is enjoying himself the whole time and just puts a twist to the music with his voice when he uses it. And if I’m not mistaken, he is the cameraman and probably one of the best
Joseph: The man behind the drums and in my opinion the best instrument EVER(Yes I am a drummer). I love how you look so mellow and neutral yet so loose and relaxed. I personally want your style of playing.
Violet: voice of an angel and so versatile. She can sing anything and make it that much better by just singing in her unique way.
Lauren:(Yes I know shes not in this cover but this applies when she is) Her screams take a song to the next level and makes the song just by singing
