Hi, I'm the creator and lead-developer of Ostinato. This is a great intro video on how to use Ostinato with UNetLab! Just FYI - the Ostinato docs page (ostinato.org/docs) contains pointers to the available official info about Ostinato - which I agree is very limited and terse as you say. So more information such as this video tutorial is very welcome. A few tips - * When adding a new port group, the port number (7878) is optional - you don't need to give it, you can just give the IP address; if drone is running on a different port than the default 7878, only then you need to give the port number * You don't have to select the stream(s) before you click 'Apply' - when you click Apply, all streams of the currently selected port are applied on the drone * You can use 'Duplicate stream' to copy-paste a stream and then modify the newly created stream instead of creating a stream from scratch everytime. * You can double-click on the little 'wheel' icon on the leftmost column of the stream to directly go to 'Edit Stream' The next Ostinato release will include device emulation - you can configure the Drone to emulate multiple hosts and you can configure the streams to automatically resolve the Src/Dst Mac using ARP/ND - no need to do it manually. And all this directly from the Ostinato GUI without having to login into Drone and having to use any linux commands at all. +Zouhair Souam It depends on what you mean by QOS - if you mean setting up .1p or DSCP - yes, it can. If you mean, measurement of delay/jitter etc., no it can't. You can reach us on the Ostinato mailing list for further clarifications.
hi Author , the video solution is amazing , sadly there are very less materials on net for Ostinato . happy we have you to the rescue :) thanks for the video . But there is problem ,the Mega drive link given does not hold the file any more perhaps it has been deleted or removed ! i tried do download the file from Ostinato.org but couldn't find the free distribution for Version 0.7.1 can you please re upload the file so that new viewers can download it as per instructions in the video . one more question , is this package only supported for 32 bit Win machine ?? i have 64 bit running on my laptop , will i be able to use this one or i have to go for another version(paid/free) ?? I didn't understand why you don't want the application (front-end) to be in Windows and the server to be as virtual in UNL. But i want to tell you that running the image in UNL is not as good as if you would have make it in VMware workstation/ESXI or virtualbox and link it as cloud to UNl the Qemu is much weaker for virtualizting such big images

A few tips -
