- On this week's episode of The Mason Cox Show, Brayden and Mason discuss Collingwood's impressive victory, Mason's hospital stint, why Mason wore a glove during the game, and the crazy finish between Adelaide and Essendon which resulted in another Crows tragedy.
Outstanding performance against Port Mason. A great weekend of AFL. Gold Coast showed up, but unfortunately their brains didn't. You could see the Pies lift after the great moments by Will and Bobby. How is the Collingwood supporters that got past security at the gather round and got on the bus with the players and mason ended up signing a Collingwood jumper. What’s your thoughts Mason? True supporter, shouldn’t have go on the bus but l thought you have to give the lady and little girl props for getting past security, bit of a worry they did though, could have been a crazy person 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤
This discussion about going back with the ball is interesting. I understand the need to look out for the players - the duty of care, as well as the impact it has on the individual, CTE, etc.
However, if we continue to take actions out of the AFL, we're not going to have much of the game left that we all love.
What will be more likely to happen, is that there will be disclaimers or certain contract requirements for AFL players that the AFL is not liable for any CTE or any concussion related injuries.
I think it will be interesting to see how it progresses. Having said that, it's really disappointing to see players having to retire prematurely due to concussion. However, makes you wonder how the hell Will Pucovski (cricket) has been able to continue on given the amount of concussions he's faced.
However, if they argue about removing tackling out of the game, I'm out. Because you can't take it all from the game!

North drafted Mcercher who is also a gun maybe wont have the impact in his first year. A consideration, will Reid be able to hold up the eagles when Mcgovern, Yeo Gaff etc retire. Will North come good in a more sustainable way when Sheizel, Wardlaw, Mcercher, Dursma, Davies Uniak and whoever they get number one next year all play together for 3 to 5 years.
