From what I can see no one's mentioned Blue heavy being in the Family Guy death pose at around 1:57, for the like 5 frames he's visible. Also for the record the only reason I recognize that pose is because it's been memed to hell and back. There's also the trade federation station at 2:55. Also during the sequence starting at 3:17 the song that's playing is the Evangelion version of fly me to the moon.

2:31 I believe this move Soldier does here is a reference to Slayer's attacks in Guilty Gear Xrd. The way he dashes back before immediately sliding forwards reminds me of Slayer's Dandy Step in which he does the same backdash, although a Slayer does this much slower. Pressing P during this stance goes into Pilebunker, the actual punching part of the move. I don't think the sweep after Pilebunker is an actual reference to anything.

The gurren laggan sequence is actually a couple layers of references For one, that rendition of "Fly me to the moon" sounds like the Bayonetta version And the stars right before the sequence are VERY reminiscent of Kill la Kill's star uniform flashes
