    It's been cloudy and wet outside and I found out that it's much quicker to grow succulents indoors if one uses a grow light. Leaf propagation, cuttings and chopping off the head of the mother plant grows quickly compared to outside when the temperature is cold and frosty and wet. I even tried growing some succulents in water.

    @6:55 - I was inspired seeing your fabulous collection of pots so I began looking around but in the garden shops anything unusual is very overpriced. I ended up going to the charity shop and found some great handmade pottery. I bought some masonry drill bits too and after drilling them I planted them last week and they look great! Now when I shopping I'm hyper aware of possible pot opportunities! Any advice on where to buy in Canberra would be appreciated. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

    I’m interested in what type of soil you lay your little baby starts on. I saw in one of your videos that you did used any kind soil with one of your trays of babies & they were slow to grow, & you said it does make a difference on the soil for the starts.

    • @LizKreate
      @LizKreate  4 года назад

      Hi Michele, I've been trying out different propagation soil to find out which is best. It really depends on the plant, the season and where you place your babies.

    Liz I'm just a beginner! Can you give me some advice on watering aloe vera? Hi PEDRO! Pedro is the boss at Liz's house. I live in the high desert of Northern California. Where do you live? Did you see the Giant Tanzanite found last month in Africa? Thanks 4 being so inspirational during the Coronavirus.

      You should sell some babies to support your hobby!

    • @LizKreate
      @LizKreate  4 года назад

      There are so many different types of Aloe Meg. Aloe Vera on the other hand if that's what you're referring to only needs water after the soil is really dry or when the bottom leaves start to wither. At the end of autumn, I soak my dry Aloe Vera (in a large pot) overnight in water and never water it until spring. The ones in smaller pots might need watering once in winter. Other types of aloe especially the hybrids I find tends to favor more watering. So complicated I know but hope you get the gist. Thanks for watching. Cheers

    Liz, try a fan over your plants....those fungus gnats have to get into the soil to reproduce, and they cannot compete with a sturdy blowing fan. Their life cycle will be interrupted, and they are very short lived. You can eliminate them. Just use the fans blowing across the tops of your pots for a while. Then you can just use them whenever you get in new soil with an infestation of gnats. 👍👍🍃🌿☘🌾🌵

      I spray these lot everyday but the ones outside every two or three days. 80% of them have struck but takes a lot of plant to fill up a bowl of arrangements and more for the gardensss I have. LOL Thanks for watching Craig. Stay healthy and keep safe. Cheers, Liz
