The problem with a.i. image generation is hard body objects and orientation. Both can be fixed by combining 3D rendering with a.i. overlaying the photo realistic final rasterized image. ImageFX is already capable of completing photo realistic image quality. If they can get it to render at real time speed, we will have graphics indistinguishable from real life video. Then it's just a short step to real time VR at the same quality.
Can we just have one generation of games/game consoles that look good at 1440p/4k with just graphics from the ps4 era? Give devs some breathing room to focus on something besides polygons.
Thanks for the breakdown! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Has this conversation changed now that the Nvidia DLSS 4 and Blackwell GPUs have been released? Seems like they are pursuing something similar. Would that be accurate? Are they just behind Nvidia in terms of machine learning?
I think with cloud streaming, AI at least at first, will be used to formulate drastically better encode/decode over the network, maybe even building a client that's able to augment on top of a low fidelity/low bandwidth signal - that brings it all the way up to high/ultra definition renders. This would make streaming games seamless and could remove a middle-man console (as we know them)

You all seeing the B580 tests with RT games, including path tracing? It wipes the floor with AMD on RT, and XeSS really shines in Intel cards too. I think Intel is catching up so fast that at this point AMD might be in third place, technologically speaking, so I really hope they pick up the slack, and also that this partnership doesn't just manifest on the PS5 Pro and PS6, and also improve AMD GPUs on PC too, otherwise they might be actually cooked soon.
It's sort of the industry's fault for pitching ML like this in the first place, but consumers are going to have to undo the assumption that ML is just for things like upscaling. We're heading into territory where ML is going to be used in the entire production and rendering pipeline.
PSSR at the moment looks like it brings up the shimmering effects that you see in a lot of games..Hopefully it will get better in 2-3 years but we will have PS6 by then 😂😂
NVIDIA is trying to run AI-NPCs(large language models) on old-gen graphic cards, but playstation needs new PS6 to focus on AI even though PS5 has 16GB memory. This is why gamers should play games on PCs

I believe their focus is the software. Implementing machine learning and Ray tracing to as many games as possible. It's my understanding that their goal is to improve the software and the best way to improve the software is to put it on multiple platforms.
I want to see advancements in physics atleast for single player games. I want proper water physics and ground physics. I want the world to feel alive.
GTA 6
Half-Life 2
Awwww yeah?
Have you seen the water physics demo in one of the recent(ish) Unreal 5 tech demos?
Do you also want to be a tree?

Yes, this is the future AI uses for filter . But it will be better to use on NPC or crowd not on main character or character that very close.
But the animation will make it uncanny. It will still have that "gamey" animation even if it's noticeably approved from previous generations.
I’d like to see more advancement in NPC interactions and raytraced audio more than in graphics
Amazing video, thank you Digital Foundry! And merry Christmas to all! :D
Sony is a fucking monster they are literally working with amd to make the next-generation AI CHIPS

Red and blue... Intel and AMD.
(Red) Nintendo and (Blue)Playstation 😏
Imagine Nintendo with AMD (team red), Sony with Intel (team blue) and XBox with Nvidia (team green) 😂
@user1-theOGlmao 😂 imagine sony goes full intel. Can’t imagine that. Their cpus might be fine but gpus? 😅
ohhh Nvidia debe de estar temblando con esta asociación de amd y sony.......

If Sony is collaborating with AMD.... Does that mean Valve is collaborating with NVIDIA?
No, they’re also collaborating with AMD
IF AMD knew what to do, they would have done already…
PS5 Pro is the most powerful console actually, period.
también es la mas cara para lo poco que ofrece, mejor un pc gama baja/media

It does. Amethyst will expand beyond game consoles. Maybe phones, PCs, TVs and tablets.
