Really like the subject of this video. Inspiration is so important. One little trick that I use that will probably sound a bit odd: when you have the basics of a track coming together, maybe a little hook or just a good groove, if you are struggling to find inspiration for what it needs or what to add to it, sometimes I find it helps to intentionally obscure your ability to hear it fully, and allow your imagination to fill in the gaps. For example by placing a lowpass filter on the master and lowering the cutoff until it becomes vague muffles, or try listening to your reverb send solo'd, or another way that I found by accident and which led me to this idea, if you're using headphones, let the track play and sit the headphones on your lap. You will hear the basic beat structure but only enough for your imagination to go to work. Both of these cause you to hear only bits and pieces, an obscured amount of the track you're working on, and this can cause your imagination to fire off while mentally trying to fill in the gaps and patterns of the track. I hope that makes some sense, its a bit unconventional but the aim is to deny your ears just enough information so your imagination fills in the blanks, while still in the context of the rhythm you can vaguely hear in the background. Some of you may have done this by accident I bet too. My only problem now is that the ideas I hear in my head always sound better than what I end up with trying to recreate them in the DAW. But I guess thats all part of the never ending learning process!
Man! That's absolutely an interesting advice and it's very true! My mind always find ideas when i'm not in fron of the computer while if i'm making music i work in a more mechanic way!! Thanks for sharing! Cheers
Great idea. I've noticed this "imagination" psychoacoustic effect as well and the results are always very interesting! The subconscious seems to have all the answers.
I really wish RUclips would get rid of the thumbs down button - there’s literally no reason whatsoever to thumbs down this vid Anyway , mini rant over - Thanks for all the info on this one my friend , much appreciated 👍🏽
Thanks again for some helpful insignts, highly appreciated. How many hours on weekdays & weekends do you manage to produce? I guess you‘re working/studying and are not a fulltime producer?
Ma qualche tutorial in italiano? Con la tua conoscenza aiuteresti molte persone. Ci sono pochi tutorial ben fatti in italiano e tantissimi in inglese... comunque complimenti per il lavoro che svolgi!! Sei molto competente e innovativo, continua così!!

I can't get creative at all lately, whenever I open up ableton it always ends up as the same boring loop.

Grazie mille! Purtroppo questo genere musicale rappresenta una nicchia molto ristretta..se facessi i video in italiano li guarderebbero in pochi
