    Hey I’m new to the area and I was wondering how to catch some reds. They are one of my bucket list fish and I have yet to even get a cast in. I got some paddle tails and some shrimp artificial but I don’t really know where to go. Could you possibly help me out?

    • @dillonwalling
      @dillonwalling  3 года назад

      Easiest and best thing to do is find structure and and live or cut bait.. they will be there…

      @@dillonwalling okay thank you but I’m not able to keep live bait so do u got any suggestions for plastics around this time of year?

      @@jacobsirek470 Check out Salt Strong they help with exactly this...finding the fish and using artificial.

    Great video … what’s the rod setup ? And braid/ leader weight

    • @dillonwalling
      @dillonwalling  3 года назад +1

      I used multiple setups in this video, ugly stick lite with a Diawa revros and a penn battle paired with a shimano rod (not sure of the name) 15 pound power pro with a 25 lb flouro leader

    Enjoy your videos. Are you kin to Steve or Gordon Walling. Steve lives in Barnwell, and I think Gordon is still in Ehrhardt.

    I'm starting to think the only way I can ever hope to catch inshore fish in the low country is gonna be buying a boat.

    • @dillonwalling
      @dillonwalling  3 года назад +1

      It’s the best and worst money ever spent at the same time 😂😂.. I say do it!

      I'll need a winning lotto ticket lol 😂
      I had just gotten good at fishin some of the public spots around Charleston, and whammo - they dredge the harbor and ruin it.

      Get a jon boat. Low cost and can get shallow.

      Maybe start with a kayak. I recommend one with peddle drive.
