Big thanks to Ridge for making this video possible and supporting the channel, please show them some love and make yourself more fashionable: www.ridge.com/ANUS Use code "ANUS" for 10% off your order
How much convincing did it take for you to convince them to let you have the code ANUS? I gotta imagine that they initially offered you the code TOMATO or something.
It's difficulty curve needed some work though. I liked the game but it felt like every time I backtracked (common activity) there would be an insane amount of enemies and less supplies than I needed to break even. Constantly low on everything and facing too many things to be fun. I like challenge but this was far more challenging than bloodborne.
@@aaronbrown8377 Really? My biggest complaint about that game was that it was way too easy. All the typhon and human powers you get trivialize the combat game so badly it's not even funny. A semi-permanent time slow that doesn't stop you from using instant spell nukes is just broken. Unfortunately, this is still the case on Nightmare difficulty with survival mode on. Bloodborne, since you already mentioned it, is hands down much harder than "hard" setting from Prey, at least it was for me when I first played both of those games.
Castlevania is the harder than Bloodborne I’ve finished Bloodborne I’ve never beaten Frankenstein. The Messengers Green Coins are harder than any Bloodborne boss I beat. Prey is hard especially for people who want to play it like a shooter or play it like a stealth game. If you play it like a rpg where you figure out the weaknesses and use different method to beat enemies it’s easier. I remember getting my ass beat by the big enemies then I find out what they are weak against spam that and they just die especially with the help of the shotgun. Mechanically it’s not about speed or precision and the weaknesses aren’t obscure like some JRPGs.
I love, love, love, love, love, love these videos so much. It's sooo much more entertaining watching a speedrun when you realize the difficulty and intricacy of these glitches and skips. Thanks for posting.
Hey tomatoanus, I just wanted to give some feedback on the whole slow mo thing, since you asked for that. I like the update in general, I feel like it's necessary to give you some time to explain the intricacies of these short and very dense speedruns, and in that sense, I'd love them to stay. However, I felt like some of these were a bit long, as well as some also being (in my opinion) unnecessary, for example some of the many Gloo Gun OOBs. Great video though, loved all the humor as always. Also, Seeker is incredible. I absolutely adore every video you two have made together. :)
That deepthroat line had me crying i love your delivery dude. Also the rewinds are cool if there is shitloads going on, or if you simply want to talk about yourself for 5sec as thats just plain hilarious
The rewind and slow motion is sick, personally with my minuscule brain I got confused when things you were talking about didn't sync with what was happening on screen, especially for games I haven't played before. great video as always
These videos are awesome, you get to see an insane speedrunner play a game he or she is passionate about and have Anus commentate and explain it. Keep doing these please they are super enjoyable.
I’m not usually a speedrun fan but I always love your videos. I also really appreciate the subtitles! It’s so so nice to have actually accurate subtitles instead of auto generated ones. Thank you!!
Top ten reasons my wife doesn’t like me using my large glue gun: Number one when I shoot my white hardened glue and climb on it she always complains how I “Clip out of bounds”
The commentary on this video is fucking priceless. We got hit with a Deepthroat joke, followed what felt like almost immediately with a dead grandma bit. Was not expecting that at all 😂
yes, absolutely keep this format of rewinding and explaining frame by frame or in slowmo, if you haven't already. I love watching speedrunning explanations, even if they're of games I've never played before
Honestly bro, I know you're a small channel. I'm not even sure what kind of following speed runs I have. But do keep making videos, I find the exploits found to be absolutely fascinating and I like how you explain everything. Keep it up the work, pal.
Love the rewind. There so much in these games that the casual viewer (me) doesn’t understand or notice and seeing complicated things multiple times makes a huge difference.
I’ve completed prey like 6 times, and I’ve never once realized the conveyer belt in G.U.T.S. Could boost your speed. I wasn’t even aware it was moving.
I don't know if this would be within your ballpark to commentate but Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bakini Bottom has a very active speedrun scene and a somewhat well known speedrunner by the name of SHiFT has gone a long way to boost the communities efforts in putting this game on display for the rest of the gaming community as a whole. Love your explained vids and keep up the amazing work!!!!!!
TBH I'm here for your explanation, the actual speedrun and especially the game are secondary. I'd love if you continue explaining speedruns with a lot of interesting speedtech and fun to watch glitches.
I love those little Will Smith rewinds, def saves me the trouble of having to do it myself to see exactly wtf is happening on these runs. Keep doing them
Hey Tomatoanus, I liked the whole rewind thing as it helps illustrate what's going on. This might be a little bit weird but the Terraria speedrun is hilarious and i'd love to see you explain it.
Love the humor. I can see why you want to try the Rewind thing though. There are several pros and cons. I simply wish to have denser information coming from you without having to pause and look at desc for additional info. Its a hard thing to manage, I'm sure. But you trying out something to make it so that more info is presented is definitely appreciated. I'm all go for Rewind.
rewind feature is great! lets us see the real speed once then have another go as you explain it. rewind gives you extra explanation time as well which is good
The rewind is great, good idea. It would be ideal if it sped up a bit for when he's just going down a hallway, and then slows down again for the intense moments, but that's a lot of extra work that just isn't necessary.
The rewinds and asterix’s are initially strange, however if you keep using them, we’ll get accustomed. Honestly, as long as the commentary remains streamlined and at the same pace as the video regardless of rewinds, it’s excellent :)
A suggestion on the asterisk. Instead, flash the text on the screen for a couple seconds and where you would normally put the asterisk notice, have a notice saying to pause the video for those moments. This way, we don't have to keep exiting full screen to go to the description.

@@tomatoanus that makes ridge more likeable
tomatoanus that’s amazing
@@tomatoanus well, the anus is located in a ridge, so it makes sense.
I mean they sponsor cum Town and the code is cumtown120 so I'm not too surprised
I love how speedrunning is just people spending countless hours playing a game so they can eventually play it less each time
You have reached enlightenment.
As is the case with almost any race
Owner see the game they spend months and years to make be beat in 20 min
sounds like how I want my job to be...

I wholeheartedly enjoy the rewind and slowdown feature, makes it much more consumable.
I watched a prey speed run a while back and didn’t know wtf was happening, thanks for making this
It's usually better to watch maraton runs like GDQ or ESA because they provide full commentary of tricks and other informations for the audience
@@DumbArse true but those aren't usually the world records since they're live.

Really like the rewind features you've done here

Candidate for a speedrun to highlight: Darksiders II.
I enjoy the rewind, helps us keep up with the "blink or you'll miss it" moments and expands commentary
Ridge totally just sponsored you so they could reasonably defend that promo code.

Please do more of these with other runners. These are easily some of my favorite speed running content. These are amazing.
Keep the new rewinding it makes watching the full run far more enjoyable

Playing the clips and then rewinding them to see them again with more information is 10/10 brilliant. This is soooo goood ty.
I really enjoyed the slowing down and re-explaining. It helped me follow what was going on one when he clips out of bounds those couple dozen times
Okay, I have to know. What is that book you're looking at at the beginning?

Yes! Thank you, sir! Love your content, also this slow motion replay is a good addition!
Rewind was an awesome idea - gives you longer view time and I really appreciate seeing the moves in slow-motion reply. Win win!
Holy heck you’ve made the production quality even better and the explanations even more clear this video, they said it couldn’t be done
This is such a better editing style: the slowing down and rewinding is a good choice.
